Actually I'd say there wouldn't be an arguement. Because he would've realized that given what we know of them from both in game and out of game sources, bombs cannot possibly be flammable.

Technically speaking a real bomb uses a fuse. The fuse becomes ignited then moves into the bomb igniting the materials inside the bomb. So in a way real bombs can become a flame for a short amount of time. In the game I would have to agree with you though.

This is true, but when they know either the bomb knows it will win or die it can just blow up. Like Goblins with bomb toss it makes everything easier except for the stupid mage that was too close.

If I remember right, stuff like quartersticks of dynamite aren't necessarily set off by the initial flame of the fuse but the pressure of the flame entering the quarterstick. That's typically why you can't leave explosive in colds areas (the contents compress slightly under cold temperatures, and would expand when heated up, thus causing friction->spark->explosion). Also why you can't do something like hit them with a hammer or anything along those lines...

Might be wrong on this, just believe that's how it actually works. Yay derails...
