Great knowing it's so close to home, possibly next door.

HIV-positive man charge in sexual assault on child

Peel police have issued a public safety advisory and are urging victims to come forward after an HIV-positive Brampton man was arrested and charged in the sexual assault of a child.
Police say 32-year-old James Junior Udokang has known about his HIV-positive status for about five years. He was arrested Monday after allegedly sexually assaulting a child.
The child is now at risk of contracting the virus, police say.
Investigators say Udokang may have had sex with several adult women without disclosing his status to them, and are urging anyone who may have had intimate contact with him to call police immediately and to seek medical attention.
Police would not comment on whether Udokang, who is already charged with aggravated sexual assault and sexual interference, would be facing attempted murder charges for allegedly exposing the child and the adult women in question to the deadly virus.
In an unprecedented case in April, a Hamilton man was found guilty of first-degree murder after causing the deaths of two women by spreading HIV.
"The potential is there, but we have to consult the Crown's office prior to laying that charge, when and if other victims come forward, that will be taken into consideration," said Const. Wayne Patterson.
I remember there being a number of hiv-infected syringe attacks in Toronto not too many years ago.

I believe the Hamilton area convictions were the right move.

Can't that be considered Biological Warfare? >_>

Which? This case or the one I mentioned that happen a few year back with the infected syringes?

Techincally I can't see why it wouldn't be considered. I think this current case is just a disgusting, selfish man who has no regard of human life, probably miserable and blames others for his illness. Totally guessing there but that's what I'm leaning towards, especially when he is well aware he's infected.

The Toronto case, probably similar in the sense that who ever it was (I honestly can't remember whether it was a man or a woman) was probably pissed at the world for getting sick..

The attempted murder charges are right on par imho. Not that it would matter much as if his H.I.V becomes full blown AIDS there isn't much saving him period, except from possible rape in the Kingston Pen. That or he'd be bunked with another HIV infected fuck and they can live miserably ever after.

I'm still heartbroken over this;

I don't know what is up with society. That and closer to home, a 14 year old boy charged with sexually assaulting a 20 year old woman (apparently dragging her into the woods) and a little girl in an elevator.

I know that sexual assault isn't a "new" thing, but the perpetrators are getting younger and younger.

Anyways...

I think attempted murder is a just charge. You know that what you have causes death in most cases and you inflict it on someone else.

Wow 14.. wow. Now that kid has some issues. If they're that messed up so young, it begs the question is there really ever hope for rehabilitation. I am not much of a believer in general of rehabilitation.

The article is much more disturbing though, how can 4 kids ages 14 and younger rape an 8 year old? Something is wrong here, I don't care where they are originally from, they're in America now.

Kids raping kids, people sticking people with infected needles... makes you scared leave the house.

Yes, yes and no.

I am personally more scared of getting in a wreck on the way to work because of the morons they issue licenses here ; ;

I am scared to DEATH that I may bring a child into a world as fucked up as this however. I would have to kill some kids.. you know.

This.

I feel like we are just seeing the beginning of a horrible, increasing trend. My kids will know self-defense for sure. >.>

Honestly, reading the news and concluding the world is full of rapists and murderers is like going to the movies and concluding that your car can transform into a huge metal robot. It's a lie. Yes, it really happened, but it doesn't represent the world accurately. There are billions of people on this earth, some are gonna be born really fucked up. It's not a new trend, it's just a new trend that reading about this sort of thing qualified as entertainment.

Let's also not forget this can become a cycle. You believe the world is fucked up and then look for evidence to conclude it's true. The reality is that the assholes you meet stand out and the nice folks fade away.

You're right Fire about concluding as a whole the world is fucked. You're right this is not a new trend. What is new is the manner in which some attacks are being performed. That's what is scary.

30 Years ago people didn't have to worry about some lunitic stabbing them randomly with an HIV infected needle as they walked to the corner coffee shop. As time goes on, and everyday threats differ what with diseases and such the threats themselves are more severe. I think more so because the chance to distinguish a person who may be a threat lessens. The chance to stop people who are threats.

That's why I worry about bringing a child into our society. Not because there are people that are out to hurt others, but because of the manner in which they can do it.

Having a young girl or boy who could get a life threatening disease basically 'forced' on them because they have a partner who knows they carry such a weapon and is perhaps sly enough, or manipulative enough to act like a loving individual, or at least decent is a concern.

Not that they couldn't get killed or hurt randomly in any other why whether accidently or purposely. Just the manner.
