I wasn't sure from garbled text/logic of the OP if this was going to be worth reading. Then this happened:

Saintgermain: Hi Maat, I think you know why i'm here.
Maat: Yes I do
Saintgermain: So, can I have my cap?
Maat: Sorry, I don't give caps to pussies.

and then this happened:

seriously man, 60k of over 10 fucking mILLION, you guys are hilarious, you suck one dick and apparently you're a cocksucker for life -- oh wait lol, think I owned myself:p

This flame deserves a reward of some kind.

Sry mates, again, /BRD isnt the reason regions are lost. Dare I say, regions are lost because people are in San'doria mpking bards.. verses hiking out to say Ronfaru. Battles are lost because the Mobs bring in their resources and people who are "fighting" stand there continuing to "fight your crusade" on whacking mobs your "legitimate" way verses making an attempt to stop them. Dare we coimplain about "tank jobs" that don't tank while we're complaining about the lil lvl 42 whm/brd who's not healing you/raising you? Do you know how much mana a lvl 42 whm has? And how quickly its gone? Or how long it takes to get more mana at that level? Of course the whm stands to gain more exp with the current system-- and if you think singing is boring.. cure bombing/rinsing and repeat is too. Difference is the singing is going to net more exp. I won't be surprised when they make this update if healers start fading out completely with the exception of fighting the NMs. At least the ones that didnt level up some form of melee skill.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.. UNTIL SE makes for a reason for people to gain control of areas people are going to primarily use campaign as a means to gain exp. And Maru-- in no way does us having control of more areas = easiier to get exp. Wait, no, I will make one exception and thats if you travel through the past to get to say Jeuno via rolenberry fields to like meet up with your forming party or something. (I'd include being able to go to exp camps in the past but I'd say that most people don't exp in the past yet. *Forgive me if I am wrong here-- as I'd love to know of some good camps there, btw.) Having no areas means you are most likely going to have constant battles in campaign which thus = more exp in campaign.

No, what campaigns do you watch. Were you there when people were staying in areas after campaigns killing transporters and reinforcement mobs without tags on. Not only were we not getting xp, we were risking the xp we had fighting without tags. Why, because we wanted our areas back. I want my NPCs casting tier IV spells and not Tier I, I want to be able to get items during campaign. People actually care about winning, or they wouldn't stay in zones between fights to make sure they win there, when they could be somehwere else getting xp in another zone.

Last week in Grauberg, that area actually came down to the last fight before the tally, and keeping one NPC alive. If that NPC had died, we retreat instead of the beastmen and they win that zone. Now if every lazy person standing by the tag NPC was out curing NPCs, would we have gotten down to one NPC? If those capable of killing mobs had been doing would we have been in that position?

So yes people do care about winning zones, and yes not having 10-15 extra people in a fight does make a difference.

I saw a lv 72 Sam with a lv 5 bard sub at bastok markets awhile back when it was under attack alot, I was out there fighting away in my 72 Sam and this joker is spamming songs by the tags npc. Damn you're a Sam for christ sake go out there and hit something!

I dont see the point of playing a main job if you arent going to use it at all, some people should have subjob ability confiscated from them.

I don't think that the /BRDs are the main culprit behind the region lost, but it sure is hard to get out to Ronfaru when you're stuck in South Sandy because campaign waves come in constantly. I know you could say "Don't go into South Sandy then" but I like to get allied sigil and some Operation missions before I go out to other areas.

The people who say that its the /brds fault or the people who mpk /brds is the reason Sandy doesn't have E.Ronfaure probably haven't been there in awhile. Poisonhand is broken and goes through most NPCs and all players. He has almost perma-hundredfists speed and the only time I've seen him killed was from the NPC with an Aegis who almost died fighting him.

Some where about 2 pages back someone(to lazy to go look or quote) made a point about "How can /brd be fun. Its not so you shouldn't do it, cause this game is supposed to be fun".

Now I am all for mpking high level players /brding as I have stated before, but just cause something isn't fun doesn't mean we shouldn't do it any more.

Why does every fucking aspect of this game have to be fun for you to do it? Or the people who say "man thats like work, a video game shouldn't be work."

Now if you chose not to do some things in this game because you don't find them fun or find they are to much like work so be it, but don't tell me what I should or should not be doing just cause its not fun. Ya know what I find fun? Working to be one of the best players at the jobs I play. That takes a lot of work, and a lot of time doing things that aren't the funnest, but in the end thats how I chose to spend my time in game.

sandy people need to get a few dedicated people to camp one zone and kill stuff w/o tags and take down the transporters. do campaign ops like slaughterhouse III. bring mobs to the NPCs so it aint one clusterfuck and we end up loseing. kinda sad when sandy hasnt had a territory in like 2 months >.>

and if they really want stuff back before the sep update Walk or take a tele to get to a campaign battle.

My biggest wish for campaign is that they fix the glitch that causes NPCs to defend bastok and windurst when they wont be attacked...

My guess is they were defending when the weekly tally happened and are perpetually stuck there until the campaign thats not coming happens.

Really hope it gets fixed.

Me too. The only way your hometown can be attacked is if you own no regions but that one, so whats the point of having units there if it can't be attacked? lol

Yeah that's a good point; broken NMs. When Campaign first started out I think the mobs were much easier. I used to (mostly) solo Kazan the Peerless and Moo ~Swiftblade. I would be able to keep them engaged for a long time and deal slow damage while still living; sam/dnc.

Now, I rarely go near those two mobs unless it's been mega-zerged. Yeah some of these NMs have been tweaked for sure probably too far.

LOL small.. there are a lot of things in FFXI (and hell other MMO's) that are not fun, but we do them anyway-- and that's always been my sentiment when /brd. Admittingly though, I try to get the most out of my game time and try to stick to things that bring some enjoyment because the game can quickly start to feel like work if you let it.

Sorry Zeph, I don't know how to do multiple quotes, but truly I enjoy the back to back campaigns that Sandoria has to offer. Again, goes back to my reasons for doing campaign. I don't have the level of dedication or care to sacrifice my exp for nothing. So I doubt I'd go around without tags at this stage of the game. If the NMs they release seem to be worth it, my mind might change. If what Auron has stated is true, that would explain my observations in Ronfaru... and also curve me to be quick to suggest you simply run out there if you were so motivated on taking back areas, because its not that huge of a walk-- especially with sprinters. But as has been stated, there are tele-ports (and soon to be unreliable chocobos). Like in life, if there's a will there's a way. I'd recommend more linkshells getting formed and ralleying together-- because you shouldn't just expect that everyone is going to want to make the same level of contribution.

I commend you for finding that rush of excitement of taking back an area. Its always a great feeling to be able to accomiplish something in the game. You just cannot expect everyone to want to bare the same cross. There's just not enough insentive for gaining areas to cause a wide interest to everyone. That's SE's fault. Not yours, not mine. Campaign cators to the individual and groups alike, but for those like myself that use campaign as a tool for exp.. you can't really place your same values on us. MPKing people who don't play like you is simply mob mentality. After next patch what will be the next targeted groups? Tanks that don't voke off of you? Healers that don't heal you?

I'll admit, I generaly play in San'doria or its regions so this might be why I don't see a lot of this group collaboration going on. Also could be due to when i campaign, also. <shrugs>

even if they arnt the main reason it would still be easier if everyone was actually there to help and not just leach the amount of times iv ported into an area got to the tag giver and seen it surounded by /brds by the time i get my tags and get to the fortand find of the 20-30 ppl in the area im the only one actually attacking... this is when il do what i can fight as much as i can and when it gets too much time too make the lazy fuckers pay

as for the /brds in town its like you even have to walk to far to find a damn mob

Shouldn't everyone here be out fighting for their nation, instead of typing on QCDN? srsly gaiz, we're losing battlz hear.

Get the fuck over yourself.

Besides, SE is nerfing /BRD as it has been said before, and they're doing it so NPCs stay out during battles anyway.

While I don't agree with the reasoning of making this thread, he should just have shut the fuck up and avoided aggro, there's way too many self-righteous people in here. If people want to spend their time singing, and watching TV while getting some shitty EXP and looking for a party, let them do it.
No matter how you're trying to make it seem that they're hurting you, they're not, +0 isn't the same as -1.

I'll still do it though. Your reasoning can't penetrate THIS wall of ignorance.

Its human nature to become annoyed by a slacker, just like the one who dont carry his own weight at a job or gets help on the answers in a class test. No it doesnt hurt everyone elses exp that trys in campaign. But it does annoy people and thats natural.

Watch that guy skip ahead off you in a line up sometime or get away with speeding on a highway and see if that dont annoy you, then just remind yourself that person wanting a free ride or sneaking ahead isnt really hurting you. :)

Eh, S-E will completely nerf the difficulty of campaign soon enough just like every other thing in the game gets nerfed over time.

While slack asses annoy me as much as the next person, I feel there are completely valid reasons for getting upset with someone who gets ahead of me in line and someone who speeds by me. Someone who cuts infront of someone else is demonstrating his disregard for all those he cuts in front of; all those people have stuff going on, and your shit isn't any more important than theirs most of the time. And the person speeding (or any other reckless driving) runs a higher risk of causing an accident. No, they may have not had an accident this time - it may not have effected me this time, but the potential for it to effect me or any number of other people is what is annoying.

If you're going to /BRD and sing your way to easy exp, you need to make sure you do so in a safe place. If someone decides to fight a mob near the campaign tag NPC... well, it's a free Vana'diel, they can fight wherever they damned well please.

Here here! I secretly think the ppl that /brd want us to not have areas so they can teleport out to an area and have the C.S. be right there so they don't have to move.

I seriously can't wait for SE to nerf the xp u get from /brd songs.

I forgot to use my sarcasim smiley, apologies I do not approve of such actions either irl I was just demonstrating the attitude of people that claim "Who cares, I'm not hurting them.."

In game or outside slackers/lazy people bother everyone in general.
