I forgot to use my sarcasim smiley, apologies I do not approve of such actions either irl I was just demonstrating the attitude of people that claim "Who cares, I'm not hurting them.."

In game or outside slackers/lazy people bother everyone in general.

Oh, carry on then... I detest that attitude as well. :)

<CampaignArbiter> "Hello there adventurer! You have two choices today. You can either go and fight those mobs for maybe 2k xp per hour, and run the risk of getting raped in the face by my happy friend Rojgnoj, or you can stand here and sing to me for 4.5k xp per hour."

<Adventurer> "Dah, dah dah dah dah daaaaaah! Dah dah dah dee dah dee doww"

<CampaignArbiter> "Ah I love me some dahs! Here, have another tag!"

Seriously, if some dude said to you "hey you could work in the mines for 5$ an hour or you can sing to me for 10$ an hour" which would you choose?

As for helping "the cause", someone who spams /brd songs and does the Campaign Ops that their nation actually needs is doing a hell of a lot more for their nation than the person that fights every campaign and only does Aegis Scream IV. See those stars behind the Campaign Op? Those aren't just happy-smiley stars. Those are an indicator of what's important. The only reason we don't have "omg fuck all you Aegis Screamers" threads is because it's impossible to see who chooses what Campaign Op.

And of course you can also tell that most /brds do the helpful Campaign Ops and most people who fight do Aegis Scream IV? /brding is just fucking lazy and doesn't help your nation at all and just prolongs campaign battles.

Blindly fighting any mob without a clue as to how campaign actually works is just as fucking lazy as /brd and doesn't help your nation at all and just prolongs campaign battles.

2k/hour for fighting? PUHLEASE! That's why you cash in your tags and get fresh ones every 15 minutes. In a solid hour of fighting, I'll net much more than 2k, rofl. And that's hardly even putting effort into it. lolautoattack nets more than 2k/hour. If you aren't pulling those kinds of numbers, it's no wonder you favor glitching your way for "precious" XP.

As for relating to $/hour work, and the offers on the table being $5 or $10, I'd say, "Thanks, but no thanks." Those offers are a joke, even just for an analogy. My ability and time is worth far more, especially considering sitting on your ass nets $10/hour.

I earned 5710 limit points few days ago as a Rdm/Whm in a hour long battle in rolenberry fieldscampaign. That includes getting two evaluations one for 2475 and another for 1705, finally I got 1530 to finish.

As rdm I am a front line fighter and continually casting, enfebbling, nuking and swinging me sword. What were you bard bots doing? Singing the same stupid two songs over and over again? Tell me you feel you spent a worthwhile hour campiagning and I know I did. :P

Maximum in an hour is 5400, and only if you have Wings of Honor. And yes, you can get that without ever doing anything else but buffing yourself.

Still dull though, you wanna pay $$ each month to cast buffs over and over on yourself? Dont you have a desire to get out there and contribute?

Fucking this. People wonder why I never wanna campaign on my bard for buffer, and it's because it's so much easier to do so on RDM. Buffing yourself, buffing those around you (I know quite a few of you have gotten the patented Rat Mage Haste) enfeebling, curing, and attacking pretty much fills out the cap for any campaign medal quickly.

Freysi's obviously the one here who has no idea how campaign works. So I'm here to help him out a bit, first by revealing the biggest secret of Campaign to him. But I'm putting it in spoilers because it's so big and hardly anyone else knows it.
Spoiler:
If the enemy flees, we win!

I hope, with this newfound knowledge, we can continue to fight the beastmen and drive them back.

If you want merits then you can easily get 3x as much in a proper merit party. Campaign is for getting a few points while not paying much attention, or while waiting for the teleport npc. "Winning" achieves nothing; it actually makes it more difficult for everyone to get xp by scattering the fights, and unless you are on in the morning US time your efforts get wiped out anyway.

No-one tells you you have to go fight in Tavnazia because not having the outpost npc there is hurting players. No-one tells you you have to merit in campaign zones because meriting in ToAU is making campaign items and outpost warps unavailable. Just leave people to play the way they want and chill out. At least if you need a warp or a tele there's always a blm/brd or whm/brd handy; just ask.

Except you can't always get into a proper merit party. Whether it's playing in JP primetime, or having an unsure schedule, or just having an hour left before you have to leave somewhere, you're not always going to be able to have a merit party when you want to get buffer/merits.

I think today im going to /brd in campaign but with really obnoxious macros, maybe something you can put in tune to the singing.

MPK me at will/

I, am, sing-ing Ma-dri-gal, tho - im - not -going - to - fight,
what - a - waste - of - time - and - space! (cast)

In case of super sneak attacks that no one knows about?

I lol'd.

And, once again, our battle strategy is...preemptive strikes. We're gonna have battles in markets again next week, I can just feel it. I was in N.Gust today, going to turn in tags. What do I see but a bunch of /anon ppl singing. Now I KNOW some of them were mages. Nobles and V.cloak are pretty distinguishable among other armor. I died RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM and not once did they stop their ridiculous singing to raise or anything.

To the people who say "Let them play how they want", ask yourselves this: If you were in a pt where people weren't doing their job, wouldn't you be even a little upset? Say for instance, a pld who doesn't wanna voke or cure to keep hate. Wouldn't you be even a little upset? Or would you just say "Oh its fine, they're just playing how they want to." Now granted you don't lose xp for dying in campaign, but still, its a little upsetting to see people not fulfilling their jobs duties.

So everyone else is doing this, and I'm the only one who gets GM'd for it. Awesome. :(

You have to use the macros you get when you begin when running there. Like "Help I'm being chased by multiple enemies" or "Watch out I have enemies after me".

Please invite my PLD to a merit party then. To date, I have not been in a merit party because PLD is not a sought after job for a merit party. Since I achieved 75, I received all 44k buffer (plus all the times I died and had to get the buffer back up) and all ten of my merit points through Campaign.

I don't just do it for a 'few points'. Not only is it my only source of merits, but its how I get the AN to get the gear I need for my PLD. I have never just sat around auto-attacking things. I actually make an effort to tank mobs, cure people, raise the dead instead of just sitting there.

Haha, got a two day suspension.

Eh, I got about 8 of them in one go with One-eyed, and another couple of /brds one almost being Lavi's level 50-something Drk/Brd with Alpha Anders. Next time I promise!
