it's cute, I swear you're replying to someone else. Where in my post did I celebrate? Where did I take credit for doing the reporting? Just wanted to point out to all you mouthfoamers that *Nelsonhaha* it's you guys on the wrong side SE's rules.

I've been content to call you guys overly-hardcore, mouthfoamers (rabid animals foam at the mouth, if you're wondering), and essentially zealots. Funny that you threw in 'doing the work of allah' with your indirect comparison of the MPK to a suicide-boming type deal and uhhh... you know those guys are f-ing crazy right?

You need a hand with that shovel? that hole you've dug yourself seems pretty deep.
You're the only one who drew the suicide-bomber conclusion from my mention of Allah. Shows how narrow minded you really are.:awesome:
Protip: The rules won't prevent you from getting your ass handed to you on the campaign field. You can report us if you want, but the smart can dodge a ban as easily as an orc gangrape can take you down.

mhmm, thing is I don't need to do any dodging. I don't actually care if you guys get caught/punished, so you knwo that all this chest-beating and mob-shouting has been really really stupid and misinformed, as I'm actually doing nothing wrong.

so logout after GM call all you want, but don't act like you guys are saving ffxi by dragging monsters to people who are sitting their in front of the screen, not using any additonal tools or scripts, and yes not contributing to your virtual nation!

cue more neckbeards

haha wow trying way too hard.

Add 5 more kills to my /brd mpk kill count, add another GM call, and yet who got banned instead? The idiots running scripts to do bard songs and buff spells :awesome: no me heh heh, so yeah seriously, learn to be a team player and help out, not make things worse.

oh and btw, the laws and rules ARENT on your side, someone just managed to manipulate them to their advantage. obviously, you bring up ONE banning (sux for you Darsha that was really unfair) vs my 15-20 /brd kills plus all the ones everyone else here has managed and it kinda goes to show WHO really is favored by the law good sir.

I've MPKed about 20 /BRD leeches so far and I haven't dealt with a GM yet. I don't even hide the fact i'm MPKing, if someone asks me if I tried to MPK I'll tell them yes, I tell my Linkshell how many I got, and I don't act like i'm running them around because I need help (that just warns the few not running bots) if the GMs really cared about us MPKing /BRDs they have all the evidence right there in my chat log to ban me. yet I must have seen about 5 /BRD bots so far disappear in the middle of a CB and not return for days after I called a GM on them.

I do have to thank you Saintgermain, showing everyone that your an idiot here on the forums means I won't have to figure it out in a party, doing a mission, in my linkshell, etc. Thank you for saving me from that horror.

To the people who say "Let them play how they want", ask yourselves this: If you were in a pt where people weren't doing their job, wouldn't you be even a little upset? Say for instance, a pld who doesn't wanna voke or cure to keep hate. Wouldn't you be even a little upset? Or would you just say "Oh its fine, they're just playing how they want to." Now granted you don't lose xp for dying in campaign, but still, its a little upsetting to see people not fulfilling their jobs duties.

(Didn't realize this thread was still going-- had to do a bit of catching up.)

As for this comparison, Miruyasha, I have to disagree. I do agree that I would get upset if I invited a PLD to tank and he didn't sub warrior and decided he was not going to tank for an exp party. I'd also get upset if I invited a white mage that didn't heal. I'd also get upset with any job but maybe a BLM that aimed specificly for the kill shot. The reason I cannot get upset about it in campaign is several reasons:

The exp system SE made for campaign doesn't allow the same advantages a normal PT setting does. When I returned from my absense and did my first campaign I did it as your sterotypical WHM should. I stayed on the backline and cured, buffed, hasted, etc until running out of mana and rincing and repeating. The campaign ended and I mentioned how much EXP I gained as did a few others that had been in my party-- It was insulting by how little I recieved. Much, much less than someone who would be auto-attacking a mob and doing minimal effort.

Do you find that fair? I don't think you could assume it's fair. In an exp party everyone is gaining the same (with the exception of bands, level differences, etc). Everyone has a common goal. The same mechanics don't work in campaign. You have a wide range of people with an assortmant of goals. For some it is strickly exp purposes. Like in an exp party, for them its to get the most amount of exp effectively. This varies job to job. For some its just something with minimal commitment to do for fun. Then you have the hard-core campaigners who are all about the win. SE designed this for all of the above. I am more than sure that SE would have cared less that people spammed songs if there wasn't so many complaints and also actual programs made for singing. A lot of the bards being targeted by this, including myself, don't have said program. (Well, I know I don't-- I don't really bard enough to want to risk my account.) If they did have a major problem with it there would have been an immediate fix or a topic made of it being an exploit.

This game (this board especially) has always had a stigma for doing things in a cookie-cutter way. I don't think its nessessary in campaign. It's more than fine to do this in your parties, your linkshells, but it has no place in campaign. I make no commit to you, or anyone else, when I join in a campaign. What I would recommend is linkshells forming (I'm sure they already are) designed to win campaigns. That way the /brd or the NIN/DNC PLD/WHM or whatever odd combinations that nets well in campaign will have minimal to no effect on your progress. I'm sure that if you have enough collaborated effort going on in a zone others will be compelled to join in on your efforts. Leading in complaints might gain you a plethra of rank ups, but leading with action will lead to progression.

As far as the issue with /bards who never leave Sandy-- that's a very biased statement. A LOT of people stay in Sandy and wait for campaigns to re-start. And it's generally more productive than jumping from zone to zone if your aim is EXP.

Further more, with the nerf so close in toe... what shall the next heated campaign debate be about? I nominate tank jobs that don't sub warrior to voke? <shrugs>

lol, tanks not tanking in campaign (just as Healers not healing, etc.) has been a gripe in Campaign since....about Day 2 since its release.

1) It's called /SCH on your WHM... you'd make twice as much then you would via /BLM or /RDM.
a.) There are more options and spells and JA with /SCH and the enhancing helps with your defensive spells.
b.) Cure the NPCs and/or PCs (low spell fist like cure, to assure theyre not fighting weakened) for about 10-15 min and turn in a tag. You rake in a shit ton of exp that way.

2) Also I have friends who do /whm as pld or nin or other melee jobs but that's because healers like you or poor A.I. cure bots don't heal them. If a WHM were to actually do their job and heal... then we wouldn't crappy healing NPCs.

/BRDing (and just la~la~laing~ it) is the lazy-way and of doing Campaign and theres no other excuse you can use to defend it. All jobs have the potential to benefit in campaign as they are.

Sorry Moink, /SCH is a moot point. Healing and enhancing caps, and it caps pretty fast when that is all you are able to do. Most of the PLDs that I know of that sub WHM don't simply do it because of the lack of cures-- they do it because they can generate more exp from healing themselves. Rarely do I see those PLDs healing other people either and most of them shy away from tanking when the oppertunity arises or simply solo mobs. Selfish as it might be, I'm not going to sit on the backline on a WHM to get shafted. Thieves don't steal my aggro, and RDMs don't refresh me,etc. I've done my fair share of community service within this game, but I'm not going to over extend myself. Complain now, but I'm willing to bet 2gils that it's going to be worse when those WHMs that do dedicate to healing other people cannot refresh their tags very often. Blame the system that's flawed not the players who would do their jobs 'correctly' if it were designed right.

Further more, don't ignorantly assume that I don't do any contribution to healing. Generally I'm found on my SMN doing Healing Ruby which heals everyone that's smart enough to be in carbuncle's area of affect with..... drum roll with /SCH.

wait, you /sch on ur smn? you know smn buffs extend to EVERYONE within range without the need for /sch right? thats how its been from the beginning.....or did i misunderstand what you said lol. either way, ive seen plenty of whms holding their own pretty damn well. i make it a point to voke off of whms that i see drawing hate becaus theyre nice enough to cure me. just gotta know who to roll with sandria

I think Sandria was responding to Moink's statement about WHM/SCH vs. WHM/BLM / WHM/SMN, then followed it up by mentioning (s)he performs in campaign usually on SMN/(WHM more than likely).

/SCH doesn't get access to AOE Stratagems... Sand is probably going /SCH for Sublimation?

The point is someone in the last ten posts failed hard. I don't wanna discern who though.

Kinda hard to refresh someone not in your party... and you could, you know, melee too. I don't even bother relying on others in Campaign; then again, I'm also suicidal enough to try and kite the NM's, just to keep them off the fortifications for as long as I can manage.

Compaired to Beseiged where I can quite easily get max exp just by curing Npc generals etc my Whm gets quite low exp doing the same thing in Campaign, I think I get under 1k a long battle. My rdm/whm gets well over 2k in the same length of battle while Blm only gets good exp if I break out the Perdu Sickle and start tapping mobs on the head.

They should raise the exp cap you get for healing and raising fallen players, for such an important task its rewarded quite badly really.

You should go Whinja. Between Hexastriking things to the face and Curing, Hasting, lolNuking... I can get some pretty decent XP (about 1.4-1.7k)

Well shit I may as well go hang up /SCH (5k per battle) and /BRD it and do what? the same lol
