Lol doesnt anyone else agree with me that he just set himself up for fail? This is still a BAD team offensively. Thomas Jones, their feature RB produced 1 touchdown last season? And barely 1000 yards.
I am being a bit of a pessimist(sp). But i just dont think he can succeed with the Jets. Specially not with NE in the division, and the Bills who play hard each week.
Edit: Brett must have some huge balls and be hella confident, or hella stupid. AT MOST he would get a wildcard, personally ii think they wont make the playoffs (8-8), no way theyre finishing better than New England, And Cmon theres only 6 spots and look at all the quality teams in the AFC: Pats, Colts, Jags, Steelers, Chargers, Titans, and some teams who missed it last year but are sure to come on strong this year: Broncos, Browns, Ravens, Texans. I dont like the Jets chances i think he couldve faired better in Tampa
He could fail, or could do really good. With the addition of Allen Faneca, they now have four first rounders on that offensive line. It'll be top 3 easily. Jones will run better behind that vamped up line and with Favre under center, you see teams will respect the QB more. With injury prone and weak arm Pennington, they could just stack the box.
Defense will be more improved this year. I believe the Pats won't be as good. I honestly think they have a "shot" at the wildcard. The AFC North has a brutal schedule and I think Pitt has a lot ??? at offensive line and defense this year. Browns or Pitt will make it out of the AFC north and thats it.
So, if i were to be a bold man, not saying I am. Jets could be a dark horse. End of the year could look something like this. SD, Browns and or Pitt, Indy, Pats. Wildcard- Jacksonville and Jets.
Not sold on the Titans, I still think Young is a terrible NFL QB. Browns will face a brutal schedule. I think SD and Pats will be the best teams in the AFC this year and the Colts might finally start falling.
