Another piece of advice: Get used to death. Death is a HUGE part of bst, and aside from dinging 35, I'd have to say that the biggest wall to overcome is learning to not give a damn about death.
Instead, laugh. Laugh, and then think: why did that kill me? What did I do wrong? In most cases it will have been your fault, and instead of getting pissed off you can actually learn something from it.
And some deaths are just downright funny. Every now and then you run into a gm commandeered bunny, or mike tyson in an animal costume. These will kick your ass. They usually find you when you're about to ding or shortly after you dinged. If they kick your ass, get up and get your revenge. If they kill you again, call out a high level friend to kill it (I actually had to ask Kaleia to kill a wicked mean bunny for me once after dying 3 times back-to-back against it, but that was as blu).
Oh, one more thing. Do not go without reraise. If your reraise goes down, put it back up. Don't think "I will put it back up after this chain" because you will certainly die a most greusome death. If you do die, call on your bst or whm friends to raise you, but DO NOT be a cheapskate and let this happen repeatedly. There was a bst who was in theflock who would do this REPEATEDLY. DO NOT do this. People will start ignoring anything you have to say.
Another point, even if you are having a good day and never mischarming on anything, and even if it's lightsday, if you are trying to charm a linking mob (mandragora, rabbit, etc) that's standing next to another linking mob or two or three, YOU WILL MISSCHARM AND DIE. Just be patient and wait for it to move. I swear to god GM's have a mischarm button and they just wait for the situation to arise. They find amusement in watching beastmasters get their asses kicked by 5 mandragoras.
Maybe more tips later. I swear most 75bst's could probably write a book on the topic. So much to learn getting to 75, and still so much more to learn even at 75.
