I always laugh at monks that stack str on Asuran Fists. I can name some, but I won't name Odhinn. Er, oops.

As for Marine boots, there really is no option for WS feet on MNK(For a Hume, atleast,) unless you're sporting some Shura Sune-Ate, which is a tremendous waste of gil for such a tiny boost, or pimping some Usukane Sune-Ate.

You're pretty much wedged in to wearring TP boots(be it haste or Kick uppers) the whole time on the job.

I don't know how to get those, but if it requires something like salvage, wouldn't those go to a Blu waaaaaaayyyyy before a mnk?
 
Floor 20 in Nyzul Isle Assault. Pretty easy to do with the right people.

Because the loss of 2 vit ,3 dex and some hp is obviously the most horrid thing in the universe for your mnk to have to endure in echange for 5 more acc during a weaponskill that generally needs some acc right?

Stop talking.

Asuran doesn't need much accuracy past Optical Hat and Peacock Amulet, and some bits and peices. Stacking too much and your damage is going to suck worse.

Ignoring AP limitations, I'd say Usukane requires less time(although, more resources) than Denali. You can only do both Salvage and Nyzul once a day. Even if you beat Floor 20, you're not guaranteed a drop. And if something does drop, only a 1/3 chance of that drop being them.

This game isnt rocket science skaw. Just taking your example of using an optical hat for asuran fists one can find an advantage from swapping to denali over the marine boots.
There any reason you cant use d head or paluwan head instead of the optical hat and wear the denali feet other than not having it.?
please.. show me the amazing logic you must be using which proclaims that you cannot simply take off acc in another spot and add in more str?

If you have a sniper's ring on during the Ws you can wear a flame ring instead. are you telling me that sneaking in an extra 5 str while losing 2 vit and 1~2 acc only because of the dex boost that doesnt do anything to the ws gamage is a bad idea?
What if instead of wearing an optical hat the mnk grabs the denali feet and puts on D head? gee.. another 5 str that does alot more than the 2 vit.
Just because i'm not a mnk doesnt mean I dont understand the simple concept that str does more on a ws than a weak 10% secondary modifier. Not only that but str is also a 10% modifier meaning that even if we didnt have any str vs vit checks and a small atk boost from the str to worry about the 5 str would STILL be superiour to the 2 vit simply because in this universe 5 is a larger number.

I suppose you will be telling me next that since I dont have samurai leveled to 75 that I'm an idiot if I suggest to a sam that they wear a potent belt instead of a warfolf?

I didn't say they were worthless to wear. I said if you could wear Marines, the draw diminishes greatly. Not to mention you completely ignored how rare they are to obtain. Easy, yes. But easy doesn't affect how often they show up.
 
If he is Elvaan try getting the RSE sachet from the NM that pops during the RSE week.
 
yea personally id rather take the +2str over the tiphia sting

unless he is able to get both and macro in the sachet for WS
 
The best gear depends on what you're fighting.


This thread makes me laugh since most of the gear lists utterly fail they either

1. include gear drg can't equip.
2. exclude items like love torque which are easily the best in their slots.

They aren't rare, they drop all the time, its really easy to farm floor 20.
 
DRG will always be just a toy for caedamire merit parties.
 
I do...at level 65. I think gimps like seeing their WS take out a mob at level 75.
