bushido cape

I'm not saying Store Tp is bad, on the contrary it's quite good if you get enough of it in the right slots.
I'm just saying that the +1 from the cape alone is hardly noticable, at the very best.

Yeah, store TP +1 is nothing, even with chiv chain and brutal, you'll barely notice anything at all. It takes a bunch of store TP to have a noticeable effect, more than you'd get with those pieces.

To quote Aurik... Zanshin only rewards you for sucking.

As for the TP stuff... You don't like TP+ stuff. You like the concept of TP+ stuff, you've never actually paid attention to it in your TP gain, or you'd have noticed it was doing absolutely nothing.

Store TP+1 is only good when paired up with Store TP+AConsiderableNumber. Like from Rajas.

People go for Chiv Chain because of the STR+ and Accuracy+. The Store TP+ could flat out not exist and it would still be as popular.

Locked thread, dood.

And this cape'd actually be really good, if the Zanshin effect kicked in...well, more. But as already said, the activation rate vs how much str/att Amemet gives leaves this cape rather useless and only good for skillup at the absolute best.

Actually, my usage of the word was correct, you'd have to be incredibly slow or deficient in intelligence to not be able to get good accuracy(Sushi anyone?). As I pointed out in that thread, which got ignored due to peregrine's ego, the word retard is synonymous with stupid, slow, or hinder; as well as describing someone with mental deficiencies. It's not nice, but I guess I could just call them a dumb fuck if it'll make them feel better.

Plus, you're acting like I care what that retard thinks with his thread. :nyam:

Consider using the Bushido Cape for things like 60 cap ballista. Where a lot of the players you'll face have shadows. Forcing a miss for every shadow wiped. It can be handy above other back pieces at that level.

Touche x2. But I still think 'poopyhead' is the more politically-correct name we should be using to describe these individuals. QCDN, the PC Playground!

well considering fighting It and not t-vt and considering impossible to get perfect acc, would mean you would miss and if this cape "did" proc half way decent and with tp+1 you could be possible to get the extra hit and ws. Which in long run would allow you do more dmg then ~1-5 dmg per swing of the amemet would give you. (In theory)

If you are not a NIN, MNK, SAM. There really is no need store TP.

NIN like store TP so they gain the same amount as TP as they use to before the nerf, MNKs swing fast and have high acc because of there A+ in hand to hand. So they could drop a snip for raja's or something & SAM as they can hit a 6 hit set up, so they can hit 100% TP in 2 swings. What is good if they are /war with a brutal as that means they could get 100% TP in 3 swings and 3 double attacks.

It's not one more TP per hit, it's +1% of your current TP per hit and that's nothing. Even samurai don't give a shit about +1 Store TP, it's only when you get to +21 that you actually receive any benefit.

Say you have 90% accuracy and you do 100 attacks. You hit 90 times, miss 10; assuming Zanshin is a 10% proc rate and giving this cape the benefit of the doubt and it's +5% proc rate, that's a total of 15% chance to zanshin. So of those remaining 10 swings, you'd have 1.5 zanshin's, but let's bump that up to 2 for the cape to not be totally useless. So without the cape you hit 91 times, with it you hit 92 times, and this is also without counting your accuracy of the zanshin attack(it's not a guaranteed hit).

That's 1 extra attack at the most, and that's assuming you manage to hit all of them too; that's no where near as big of an effect that an amemet +1 is. The only time this cape would be "good" is from level 60 to level 61 when you can wear an amemet; I'd even say that a NQ amemet would have a larger effect than +0.1% Tp per hit and a tiny zanshin boost.

1 Store TP is 0.1% extra tp each hit.
1 Subtle Blow gives the monster you hit 0.1% less tp each time you hit it (I assume).
No, Store TP+1 gives you 1% more TP per hit. Because it's truncated, it takes Store TP +3 for me as a ninja (under 5.0 TP/hit) to see that first 0.1 TP/hit increase.

Subtle Blow +1 is also 1%.

Even if the zanshin kicks in 5% of the time (I'm really doubt the cape gives even that much, but I'm sure it wouldn't give more) that's only 5% of the time that you miss. If you're at 90% accuracy, that means it'll kick in on 5% of the 10% of the time that you miss, or about one in every 200 or so swings. However, the more you suck, the better it gets.

Well, considering the gear that Hellstorm has been asking about, his WAR is probably pretty sucktacular.

unless you see my gear don't knock. I'm not the generic robot that most people are I like to try the alternatives. Guarantee I'm as good or better equip then most war my lvl.

cleaned up thread and pm'd appropriate people.

And now it makes no sense to read, and i missed out on all the good action i guess...

Zanshin + alone make this cape worth it to TP in. I use it exclusivly for TP and deffinatly see the benefit of it. You can't hit everytime while you gain TP and playing as SAM/THF you need every attack you can get. As SAM/WAR or SAM/DRG I'll use my Amemnt because the ACC+ from /DRG is nice and double attack procs enough and I like loading up on STR as SAM/WAR and SAM/DRG. Telling you though if you play SAM/THF Busido Cape is where it is for TP. Then just macro in your Amem for WS so you get the added STR and +ATK.

Ok, let's refresh our memory.

SAM accuracy, assuming intelligent gear and sushi: 95%

Zanshin proc rate from cape (generous estimate): 5%

Chances for zanshin to proc with 95% accuracy: 5%

Times it does proc: 5% of 5%

Accuracy bonus: .25%

Amemet damage bonus: more than .25%

Or does the whole concept of damage elude you?

Alernatives like the sipahi jawshan over a hauby? A cape that gives an incredibly minor acc and TP boost vs. a mantle with a major increase in attack?

You don't seem to understand what stats are important for a melee. So how can you claim to be as well or better equiped than most WARs your level?
