Campaign Battles: Beastmen need to put up more of a fight!

I must be doing it wrong... I wait until I see "Orc Battalian dispatched to blah blah zone" then I teleport there.
Then at least 50% of the time the battle ends before I see a single enemy... wtf?

Most hilarious battle at Rolenberry other day, battle begins and 90% of the people there start running off to the far west of map to intercept the invading Quads instead of waiting by the base for them to come in, I watch as about a dozen or so oncoming Quads were all divided up amongst the people there as they pulled them all off to seperate corners to solo/duo them all.

Anyone left waiting at the base probably had Gho bu whatsname and shellshock all to themselves lol.

sounds lie just about every campaign battle in Rolenberry now i just plain refuse to go there same thing in e.ron the other day the group at the fortification took out all the attacking mobs then begain wondering around the zone think we stumbled on at least 5 different rdm's soloing a mob... SE should just give every campain mob RDM killer trait or something because really i have nothing better to do than stand around waiting for some asshole to finish being a dick

I sub Ranger on my Sam now, besides also helping my archery skill up on random gobbues between campaigns it also helps me locate isolated campiagn mobs that have been dragged off into a corner by some rdm or Pld to slowly solo. ^^

I may also loudly annouce to all around the location of such mobs too, after all these people soloing must need some extra help to get this wave down. :)

Don't hate the player, hate the system. I used to be anti-solo/duo, until I realized how easy it was to do on PLD/DNC. Fight in group for 300 xp/an, or solo for 1400... On paper, the decision seems easy. I think the whole system is fail city, but as long as it can be exploited, it will be. When I go to Grauberg or Rolanberry people intercept mobs a mile before they hit the Fort, so why should I be the martyr and wait around? Naivety isn't heroism.

All this talk is making me itch to play FFXI again. I want to play a Dragoon in campaign.

You clearly have never tried to take out the Moonfang Pack on a full moon.....

i did this today! and it was badass fighting something that heals itself for 6.9k a pop lol

only thing that sucked is that the good guys gave up so got half exp, the way i see it they should add more horde types to keep it fresh adding the shadowwing and stuff is cool and all for northlands be nice to see them come down to the lower campaign zones. I dunno if we had more hordes there be more mobs for everyone right? There are a lot of monster families and npcs I'm sure that could be used for the sake of freelances for the beastmen just waiting to be taken advantage of

And yes Pashow sucks just because I cant put up enough enhancing to lessen effect of that petrify effect from the peistes and Rock Chopper lol, its like a static duration and the funny thing is even garuda and titan get stoned from them

If any of you pay attention, we just lost Beaucedine too. So...now we have no northlands zones. Just a matter of time before I'm zoning out of my MH to find a fight goin in basty markets!

Hey those are fun, it saves on time looking for battles when the bad guys are marching up our high street. ^^

Too bad they allowed people to leave during a battle via the npc, always wanted to yell "Deserter!!"

They have their moments, but I really would rather be defending an area than trying to take one because everyone knows you get really crap xp from attacking forts.

We are defending an area when its our home town under attack lol. And I often see bst defending at the bases they have too, it isnt always battling a block o wood on the ground called a fortifcation. ^^

Well when we own an area it's ours, thus we defend it ^^

I prefer owning areas and having the fight come to me so I get more out of it. That being said, the system is what it is lol

really if they left fortification exp alone that take care of some of our problems at the very least reduce them ie people grabbing mobs and draggin them to somewhere for exp

Campaign is fun and all but when you spend like half an hour whackin a fort only to get a hundred xp or so you kinda feel cheated. That's why the whole mob soloing thing started, so that people felt like they could get something out of campaign once they nerfed fort xp.
