Campaign - How do we gain control?

Bastok and San d'Oria are still under siege in their own cities. Windurst lost control of West Sarutabaruta and Fort Karugo-Narugo, but gained control of Meriphitaud Mountains and Sauromugue.

We're awesome like that.

sandy screwed because only time east ron. under attack is when sandy under attack. There also alot people that don't want it to change because that means they don't have to travel. Then there the brds and /brds. brds I can somewhat see, but /brds should be mpked on the spot.

hell yeah"!!!!
i just watched bastok markets take the bigest pummeling iv ever seen a city
take in campaign whilst at least 10 /brd sat in the corner playing with themselves...
word of warning to all.... i am pissed off and the mpk train is coming.
soon SE will change things and no doubt ends up punishing all the players who actually play at the same time.
if you want a game to fucking spoon feed you fuck off and play WoW

this might help

The higher your rank and your Campaign Ops, the more the NPC's listen when you give suggestions. There is supposed to be a way to rally multi set groups of NPC's to attack an area. I think the orc transporters use supplies from the Beastmen main stronghold to restock the forts. I have yet to confirm that they use supplies from the main fort, but by stealing their supplies we "should" be raising ours. I do this OP with THF and just sneak attack and flee up to the orc. He dies instantly and his friends never aggro.

It was also noted that the closer it gets to tally, it seems the beastmen start Blitzing to gain control of an area. Watch the weekend attacks, you will see a difference if you are a usual campaigner during the week. In Vunkrel I have noted the NPC's no longer just rush in on the bridge, but the mobs will rush out to them if one is hit and they link.

For sandy you "CAN" get to 3 areas without the NPC warp. I did this as whm to raise a bst who was duoing vunkrel with me. South sandy---> KRT area to zone --->jungar---> vunkrel. NORMALLY it seems to take 30 minutes for forces to travel anywhere. So when it says "allied force dispatched to...." you can leave the city if it is in campaign and make it from sandy all the way to vunkrel with time to spare as a job without speed movment. Or be cool and use the boots. In the non city areas, it is hard to get a cure or raise even with mages around you. Nor do people CURE the damn npcs. ONly areas we own have the npc whms. The NPC's do more damage than we do per person, so getting players to actually cure them and others who are "tanking" monsters will increase the odds of winning.

Lastly ALMOST any job can solo an imp, but they lose hate fast even with a DoT on. Kill them Fast and the NPC's odds of winning go up by large amounts. The bst and I as thf killed all the imps, then the npcs came in and won the fight. I hope these help out some. See ya on the front lines!

*Ops can somehow raise strength of medics
*tactical assesment has a larger effect than it may seem.
*When a city is attacked, it directly hurts their war funds and technological power (prosperity).
*By taking back an area into their control, they can once again store up war funds and make a recovery.
*repeatedly doing soldier training in Campaign Ops will raise the average strength of your soldiers.
*if you perform Ops related to fund-raising and procurement of goods, those things will be improved.
*Specific units that win get stronger, and specific units that lose get weaker.
*when soldiers return home victorious and level up, training them vigorously is a big part of strengthening them.
*The Beastmen Confederate can send turrets out when they have the spare resources, it takes a lot of funds.
*Turrets use changes from week to week, one week they may appear, and the next they may not.
*Success of recon units raises likelyhood seige weapons appear.
*Certain Ops can appear/disappear because of funding.

To me it seems like Campaign makes certain people retarded. I've seen WHMs prefer to melee than actually do their job and heal the tank that holding the hate of the mob theyre meleeing...........then when the tank dies they die because they didnt keep the tank alive. Its why i always go PLD/DNC cuz i know better than to expect heals LOL

this is because there is a cap on healing so to get the full amount of points they have to melee as well. Which came about do to people spaming buffs by the npc and turning them in like brds do now. Unfortanlty it look like brd going have melee now if they want to get any points as well.

oh right i see.... there is also a cap on the points you gain from taking damage so in that case when i think iv hit it il stop tanking..... points my arse DO YOUR FUCKING JOB.
im not saying dont melee there is no reason you should be deniied the chance to make the same exp as everyone else but learn to use them menu to cure people.
unfortunatly the bards will have to melee now if they want points? oh no those poor bards nasty SE forcing people to actually play the game....:nono:

What I do.. is to heal people till I think I have max points, turn them in and heal again. I get more points this way than meleeing o.O Am I weird?

My estimation of the amount of time the tags have been on are often off though .. so...

Whm's can heal npcs now theres something that helps us out and probably earns more points. When I see a whm show up with ninja sub and dual clubs too busy hexa striking to cure melees there just makes me wonder, especally when I notice Pld's taking time out to Cure in battle.

I suppose it could be worse, they could just be spamming barspells or subbing a lv 5 Bard and singing beside the tags npc.

Silver lining

If it makes you feel better....SE is looking into actions that can be done to said players. Things ranging from acount banning to if all they do is buff and try to turn in tags that the NPC will refuse to give any tags to said players for hours. I would guess the auto motion for the song casting and turing in is same as a bot....Also I HAVE seen mages spam bar spells, just not as many as the bards.

I went...on a tirade mid-battle during a Fort Karugo-Narugo campaign the other day.

I had no less than 3 red mages, a white mage, and a scholar(SCH/NIN dual-wielding...kidney daggers) meleeing on the same mob as me, while I sat at a lovely 48/1115 HP trying my damndest to Seigan/Third Eye, Stun, Drain, and Drain II (which, of course, led to my taking more hate). I cried for a cure once, because that's all I'll do. I'm not going to sit and beg for a fucking cure.

I admit it. I melee sometimes in campaign battles as WHM but it's mainly if everyone is beating down on everything and no curing needed. I do go in my spell menu and tab until I find someone who needs curing though.

Is there a cap on dmg you take? Didn't think there was. lot of lag some times I can't even see the guy standing next to me. I know there there because mob not attacking me but can't see them. I hate going war for the above reason and pretty much refuse to go again on it till I get /dnc to 37. Unless need emergency buffer. Smn does decent there just having to rest alot hurts points. Then there RDM the jewel of campaign. Now when i'm on rdm I raise people when I see they need raise cure if need a cure and normally go rdm/nin with dagger/sword and melee and even try tank a bit so get full benifit of points. So I've seen every aspect of this triangle and I get frustrated when I die from burning all my mp and not getting a heal when tanking but on same note know that not easy telling if someone low hp. Now they don't raise you then there some issues.
