Captain America 1941-2007

Currently reading CW in it's entirety back to back .. i'll save my thoughts on it till later. Just got done with some copies of the 'The End' series a friend passed my way after mentioning i was interested in picking some books back up and i must say ... that's some good shit right thar.
 
Oh he's back alright and he's....shiny.

Ugh, why'd they bring him back. There's a solid reason he was killed off (and I'm not talking about for plot device) and this just ruined the signifigance. Oh hey and Fox News is reporting it, good for them.

EDIT: Oh great, give him a gun! jesus tapdancing christ!

Espically with a gun. I know punisher took on the role of captain america but I never read those comics so I don't much about that story. He was dressed up in the suit though. With the new cap packing a gun I wonder if theres a connection.
 
Whomever it is only three things are certain.
A. Tony stark has a hard-on for him.
B. The person is somone under stark's control.
C. Tony stark has a chrome fetish and we really dont wanna know what he uses to keep the crap so shiny.



I suppose we should seen this coming with Iron man trying to make hawkeye into captain america in a previous comic a well as the whole tryouts thing.

Anyone previously associated with cap is out of the question IMO since the thunderbolts have been breaking the spines of anyone capable of using the shield properly.(literally)
actually.. concidering this cap has a gun I'm guessing tony stark gaveup on trying to get someone capable of throwing the shield around without injuring themselves. The shield probably has a remote control somewhere to make it fly back into the hands of Captain Chrome for random classic cap moment photo ops.
 
There have been no clues dropped from what I read, but it has been been confirmed Steve is remaining dead. Everyone's saying it's Bucky, which I would like, but I don't remember reading if this Cap is part of the Initiative. I doubt Tony wants anyone running around in the suit after Hawkeye turned it down.

My guess, Bucky goes to meet Tony to kill him, they get into a fight, then after some fighting, Bucky escapes/wins, decides to take the role of Captain America to oppose the SHRA, & Tony is left to find another rogue hero ALA the New Avengers. I doubt the public will know about this new Cap for awhile, and it wouldn't be hard for SHIELD to point fingers at other people if the public catches on.

It could also be Nick Fury, that would be one hell of a return for the character. Image inducers are common enough, so that could explain the look. That's just a wild guess though.
 
I just wanna know how they are going to explain the Super Soldier Serum treatment. Because the Scientist who created it took the secret to the grave. lol
 
2 more words Spider-Babies. Anything in Marvel is possible. They can retcon/timewarp/chitty-chitty-bang-bang their way into any semi-plausible plot device and people won't bat an eyelash. Hell, make Loki or .... frig, Ms.Lion travel back in time to see the serum being made, then BAM! they come back and a select few now know how to make the serum.

What would be nice is if they didnt blatantly rip off other comic's stories and repackage them as if no one would notice. I mean anyone else here not see the obvious Civil War/Kingdom Come similarities or Watchmen for that matter? And oh no! A death of an iconic hero, never seen that happen before. Just hope that there arent multiple Cap's running around at the same time. Then one of them turns out to be a robot, another a clone and another is... idk, Luke Cage in a metal Cap suit with a big A on the chest, or head or w/e. Dont want to sound pissed or anything, just makes me laugh is all.
