Or a more appropriate name would be "Why is this shit $15?"

Nothing stands out about it, it's a generic beat em up. But these guys think their shits worth more than average.

Edit: It's not bad by any means, it's quite solid. It's just not stellar. If this is $15 only because Braid was $15, I'm going to be fucking pissed.

its because its made by dan paladin, creator of alien hominid and its entirley drawn by hand, tho that still doesnt justify the price tag, thats the reason tho.

I'd pay $15 for Galaga Legions, maybe.
 
I would've paid $15 for Bionic Commando: Rearmed, but not for a generic beat em up.

Don't. Almost every space shooter made after like 1990, especially all the Galaga games (only really good one was the sega saturn version) are sub par at best. Spend $5 less and get Ikaruga, or spend $5 more and get Ikaruga and Triggerheart Excellica. Much better deal.

Nah, for some reason I really really enjoyed the demo and wanted more. What the heck is triggerheart though?

I don't think if Pixeljunk was delivering the goods on XBLA for $10 a game, any dev would have the balls to charge $15 for anything under retail quality. It feels like a barrier to me, crossing that $10 line, that it has to be something that if burned on a disc people would actually go out and buy. $10 and under, I don't mind indy devs trying out weird concepts on what looks like flash games. Past that I expect a certain level of high end tech.
 
Well, I dont agree with the price, but it is a badass game. Theres a shitton of unlockables and a ton of weapons, though once you get the good ones you wouldnt want to use the crappy ones. Finding all the animals and weapons is pretty fun, and with 4 players on Insane mode, the game is hard as hell.

Not saying its close to being worth fifteen bucks, but still a badass game all the same lol.
 
Hooked is all i can say about this game, i love it, something to do in my down time or away from other games..
 
yeah me an a lvl 50 buddy of mine tried playin on insane mode and we got raped by the giant bat in the cave cause he hit for like 999 every time...

And i used the boomerang trick on the Insane catfish boss and got like 5 levels getting me to 61 Rob didnt have the boomerang yet so he was S.O.L. lol
 
It's a fun game.

Boomerang exploit on the bat is the easiest one I think. Insane mode ftw!

I love this game, and would of paid more than $15. However...I had a 99 blue knight, along with a few 30/40's, and all my shit was erased randomly. Under the leaderboards it still says Im 99, but I have four level one characters...

The replay value is great, and its crazy on insane mode, specially solo. Also, the catfish trick is a lot faster than doing it on the bat.
 
I heard about that glitch. What were you doing when it happened? Or did you just log in and it was glitched? I had this happen on a lesser scale at one point. I only lost a few of the relic items.
 
I think it had to do with xbox live, I logged on and played one arena match with some people. Got on the next day and had nothing.
 
Theres 2 fixes I got from an FAQ for the game.

A) While in the game, sign out of your xbl account and sign back in.
B) Begin a multiplayer game with 0 private slots, 4 max slots, hidden
characters turned on. Create the lobby and toggle ready, then back out to the
menu

Did not know about the catfish boss. The bat is by far the best to get your lvl on, Go on insane kill all the black blobs and run back to the top upper corner Charge your boomerang and toss it before he gets to you and hold block and watch your lvls go up, to go even faster have your exp pet and go back to the bat.
 
Catfish is easiest prolly. Charge 'rang, throw and block. thats it. Oh, and make sure you don't actually KILL any boss with the rang. Doing so causes a graphical glitch that forces you to restart the entire game.
