Multi-Plat Castlevania Lords of Shadow

Just finished the game, and I've got to say, while there were some frustrating parts, that was an awesome ending. Even with all the spoilers I've seen, I didn't see that coming.

Damn fine straw if I do say so myself.
Only if you want your "damn fine straw" to undermine your whole point. But whatever, just go about with your nonsensical reasoning.

Does it hurt that bad that I don't agree with you? Maybe if I was tryin' to force feed my opinion as fact I could get where you're comin' from but all I get from you is that you're tryin' to stir up shit.

It might hurt if you were actually capable of paying attention, but you're obviously not. All you've done is pull a reason out of your ass, then contradicted yourself with said reasoning, then tried to pull off some kind of moral high ground out of nowhere. Again, you having an opinion is fine, but your reasoning behind that opinion is faulty. It's not starting shit to question someone's reasoning behind their opinion, unless that person is so close minded that they can't possibly be wrong and consider any discussion otherwise to be an attack.

Seriously that shit was cool right? The story is in the char bios really. But dont all go reading that before you finish the game...

I can understand Strid somewhat about the game not feeling like Castlevania. I mean its pretty obvious Castlevania in the sidescrolling form is king and its the way Castlevania is supposed to be played to me.

With that said... This is now the way Castlevania feels to me in 3d lol. I enjoyed this game so much and it is miles ahead of past Castlevania3d's. There are camera issues for me for sure but i didnt get any frame issues on 360 some mentioned. Beautiful, beautiful art design paired with some nice graphics. Combined several great past hack and slash gameplay elements. Variety in enemies including some great boss fights. A story thats is more then "Lets go hunt Dracula again" which was welcome to me and an ending for the ages.. I couldnt ask for more, the game was sick.

Yeah, think of it as Lords of Shadow and just drop the Castlevania and it's fine. Cua, it's worth waiting for the price drop honestly unless you're just aching to buy a new game. I don't feel bad about payin' the full price for it, but it's definitely, like most games, not of $60 quality, at least on the 360 with its shaky cam and input issues.

I took your advice and waited. I was at a rogers store and found it in a clearance bin for $19.99! :D I'm working my way to chatper 2. I hope you see this.

I kind of understand what you guys are saying about it being a Lords of Shadow game on its own. Doesn't feel that Castlevania to me but then again I haven't hit the castle yet.

It still shouldn't even after you hit the castle levels :( Good for you on waiting though, wish I had done the same. It's a lot easier to snap a $20 disc so no one ever gets hurt by it again than a $60 one.

I heard Lords of Shadow was actually pretty good, game-wise O.o

Minus the giants, the fighting is damn good. It's the other stuff that sucks; the lore deviations, tons of QTEs, poor platforming, locked camera, and stuff of that nature. That being said, if I wasn't a massive Castlevania nut, the story would be pretty good. Like I've said before, if it was just Lords of Shadow, it's a great story to follow, but seeing staple enemies, which are a big part of the old lore, be turned into mere monsters, with no respect for their prior characterizations, or even their real life counter parts, was frustrating. And the whole Lords of Shadow concept, what they are, what they do, just doesn't work in the realm of Castlevania.

I could really go on all night about it, but simply put, it's just that typical Kojima mind-fuckery. However it's not linked to a series of his own, but with a series of great tradition in its own right. It's like this. An author sets out to create a trilogy novel. However, the author dies after part two and someone else takes it upon themselves to finish his work, with their own agenda in tow instead of keeping it true, asking themselves, what would the departed author do, instead saying, "Dead author be damned, this is my story now bitches!"
