I took my new chocobo baby for 1 walk; everytime I ck him he is losing more health. Am I keeping him from rest by checking too much??
What happens if all his HP is gone? Does he die?

It's his stamina, like the Fish HP bar when fishing. It's just to limit you from doing unlimited activities.

My little guy hatched around 3pm ish CST today... Took him on 2 walks and fed him twice (shouldn't have the second time though) and named him AkiTen (Japanese for Autumn Sky)

Mine hatched earlier today. I'd say around the same time yours did in the first post. First got it on my other char, named it TransientFlight - Male, and on my main it was born female and named it GenesisZero.
 
this addition of chocobo breeding ALMOST makes me wanna play again but meh :P I like my extra 13 dollars a month and free time.. I guess D: sooo cute though...
 
My little chick stays full for too long. I thought infants were supposed to crap and puke a lot. Someone give this kid a laxative, so I can cram more carrot paste down its beak. >_<
