Clothcraft @_@

I've gone toe to toe with the cralwer, I was just suggesting it because it's easier to find 3 summoners at lvl 30 than it is to find 6 summoners at lvl 40

In a month? How much time do you play? This sounds like a good idea

Man I'm such a noob to these things

Me too, i never camped NM, nor have i done BCNM's. I spend my free time killling tigers in batallia for fangs and trading them to npc in sandoria. If you're able to kill them and hard working, you can get 1.2million off them per month.

You'll make a killing selling those tiger hides. TO ME!! hahahaha...

<_<

Level 22 clothcraft. Yeah. You can get to 28 with a profit, if you are willing to wait 2 months to do it (fishing gear when the supply is low and the market is up). I did fly lures, and EASILY sunk 80K into it. However, now I'm turning a profit with shinobi-tabi :D , especially when you know where to sell them, and how to obtain ingredients.

Dunno if anyone knew this trick or not... try desynthing the fly lures for added skill gains and the chance to get some of the materials back. Namely the glue >_<;

I probably only lost like 10k on fly lures recycling them instead of selling. But dont forget desynth is crazily random.

I never succeeded a desynth, even at level 27. I wasn't aware you could get the glue back  . Well animal glue has skyrocketed lately, but don't worry, it'll only be a matter of days before some high-level alchemist comes along and ruins it for everyone.

Clothcraft is making me weep

So how far can i get on Fisherman's hoes and Tunics?

You can get to 30 on those, but you can't flood the market. They don't sell very fast, and if you break them you will be CRYING.

blah...I don't have much time online...I can only really fit in Sun-Tues from about 1 am - 3 am :x

Lvl 30 vs Crawler is 3 person, and you can make some good cash off of it too.

I did that one 5 times as a THF/NIN & RNG/NIN combo.Didn't make shit for money. Like 15k at the most.

Only got the satisfaction of kicking its ass as 2 people instead of 3. It was fun.

I don't recommend doing this one for gil.

Do the BLM & DRK scroll quests if you will never use them. Can make some good cash. I just made 200k off of scroll quests and I still have a bunch to do.

I just bit the bullet and did fly lures until 28. I tried to some Kaginawa since I had some smithing, but there wasn't enough manticore hair available to make it worthwhile. That and it was too expensive at the time to profit off of. You can profit off of Fisherman gear, but it sells to infrequently and you'll wind up flooding the market and losing any profit anyway. Once you get to 28-29 and can synth shinobi-tabi, you're homefree for awhile. There are cheap sources for all the components if you willing to invest some time farming and even if you just buy the components, you can still make 1.5-2k per stack. Once you cap that at 34, you can start on bird fletchings whose primary component can be farmed right out in Sarutabaruta. That caps at 42 and Insect Fletchings cap at 52. You may need secondary recipes to bridge the gap if skill-ups slow down to much, but if you can just get past the fly lure stage, you should have a fairly clear path to the 50's. Just don't expect a whole lot of profit just yet.

The 3-man BCNM40 in Fei'Yin is pretty damn easy if you have the right party setup. The hardest part, honestly, is getting to the BC - the rest is easy.

Preferred setup is NIN, MNK, healer (RDM is best due to Convert, but SMN works just fine.) The MNK should bring two sets of equip: a 'gimped' set for the first half of the fight and the uberest he can find for the second. The thought behind this is you want the NIN to hold hate through the first three forms, but you're ok with the MNK stealing it later.

You fight a skeleton who dies and reanimates himself a lot. The first three forms are DRK and the last 2 are BLM. MNK should switch to all out damage gear once you're on the BLM form. Otherwise, try your best to keep a few Enfeebs up (Silence is the most helpful) and keep everyone's HP at a half-decent total. NIN should bring Crab or Fishkabobs and a Periskos au Lait. MNK, Mithkabob and an au Lait. Mage, Rolanberry Pie and 2 Yagudo Drink for a SMN, 3 for any other mage. Potions and Ethers are good insurance but honestly not necessary. The fight is LONG, though, normally about 10-11 minutes out of the 15 you get.

Drops are pretty much the same as the other BCNMs, but you don't need to split them 6 ways.

When you get to 50, I'd love to get a group of SMNs and MNKs together to do the BCNM50 Time Bomb fight. Pop 2hrs, win, log for 2 hours, repeat.

1-2K profit per stack on shinobi-tabi? I make 10K/stack of ingredients, so I don't know where you're selling ^_-. You can't flood the market with those either, they don't sell THAT fast.

Anyway, don't farm your ingredients. Farm whatever you normally farm, then sell that stuff, and buy your ingredients with that money. Farming ingredients makes it SEEM like you're spending less money, but you're actually not.

Well...I'm getting pretty desperate for the cash here as mentioned before and will cut grass all the way up to 800k...though I'd rather not.

So if any of you people who have done BCNM 20-40 need a gimped WHM or a Summoner PLEASE for the love of god let me tag along. I have about 180 beastman seals

If you can, get a BCNM for Worm's Day or Steamed Sporuts (or...if you're lucky, Hostile Herbivores) the first two are BCNM40, and rake in about 200-300k per person if everyone brings an orb, second is a BCNM50 that can get 400k-1m per person if everyone brings an orb (but most likely in the lower range)
