I'm sure I could have made a real profit off it if I had tried. But I just kind of blew threw that stage. My real interest right now is just getting my skill up, I'll worry about a real profit later. 16k for two stacks of cotton cloth, 4k/stack of cotton, and 1k for the grass thread. Cheaper ways to obtain all of this, but I didn't try except for what I had sitting on a mule. That comes out to 5250 for 99 and I sold for ~7k. 20 stacks of shinobi-tabi got me from ~28-33.5 with only a few failures.
 
10k to make a pack of Shinobi tabi?!!! HOW?! Buy the cloth for 300 on the gil on the right day and buy as much saruta cotton there as you can. It is 80 gil and they usaly have about 4 in stock. Grass threads? Those are cheap as hell. If you buy ingredients off the AH withouth checking with the guild.... You will not get very far into clothcraft or any craft for that matter without breaking yourself.

So in recap you can make a synth of shiobi tabi for about 1k if you are unlocky and buy the Saruta Cotton on AH. 1k * 3 = 3k for a pack. 7k total - 3k is 4k profit (Optimaly) on a pack of shinobi-tabi. but hey have fun with those fly lures I am sure they are doing wonders for ya. Odds are you will pay more but you WILL make decent gil offa these..


PS Shinobi-Tabi is the 2nd mosts used ninjitsu Item (they are for invisible) so they will sell if you are familiar with undercutting without lowering the price. If you list em for 7k? heh the others willrip you to pieces.

I also did it hard and did the fly lures up to 28 - i took my test to get the NOVICE title,
After that it gets pretty easy Sabia - all you need to do is camp in the Highlands or Valkurm for Sheep wool -
Then by using the Recipe : Lightning Crystal + 2sheep wool you can make a wool thread.
A Stack of these goes for about 15-40k i think - so you can make a bit of money that way, while leveling your cloth up at the same time. They havent really failed often for me either (i keep advanced support on however)

Umm tonko which is what Shinobi-Tabi is used for is most assuredly NOT the second most used tool there is. Obvious champ is Shihei but then you got Tsurura, Jusatsu, and the tools for Kuryami, Dokumori, and Hojo. Shinobi Tabi can last me about a month a stack, while I go through these about a stack a day.
