Collaseum being built in Jeuno?

I've been rooting for this idea a week after I got this game. I loved it in FFVI. But our pleas fall on the deaf ears of S-E. Arrogant jerks!! hehe.. if they even had Ballista in an arena, I think that'd be fun to watch.

Or have a warp crystal from the gardens in Jeuno to some distant area. They have teleporters in Windurst, they should just do a joint project with all three cities.

Windurst provides the teleporters from Jeuno.
Bastok makes the said colliseum
Sandoria adds.... something. This wasn't very well thought out but thought I'd just add something.

It wont work for 1 reason guys .... Lag.

Jeuno + 2000 people = Lag

Jeuno + 2000 people + a fight = ????

That's why they should teleport everyone to different zone..hehe

Or that, like a Jeuno Fighting zone, WITHOUT an AH, so people wont stand there for fucking hours on end ...

But you know what'll happen.... people will be bazaaring food like crazy outside the entranceway...

"Get your Meat mithkabobs...your fresh hot meat mithkabobs." shouting by a big fat galka in a white hat (probably pushing a cart if possible).

"Millioncorn, clear drops, cigars...err...jack-o-lanterns" calling from a mithra.

Only problem is, if you have played uncapped Ballista, a BLM can 1 shot kill with a Level III spell any unbuffed mage =)

And WHM has a very small chance of ever interrupting a BLM's spell casting.

<Run Away!>, in ballista people probably never even see it coming since it's more team, it's like apples to oranges. But what the hell, it'd be fun to mess with anyway.

What's wrong with that? We could throw in a band and a mascot for the teams too. Makes it seem like a College event then. XD

RDM/NIN would mash anthing in it's path. Nothing a Ranger can do about it. 90 + 90 DMG + 18 + 18 additional DMG with a delay of 240 is no joke, and i'm a Tarutaru.

Vs. another NIN the Ninja would loose due to being silenced and having to deal with an enhanced RDM

If the RDM was silenced, it can take an eco drop, and if the RDM is being survailed by another mage dropping silence upon the eco drop, that mage will get a swift sleep arrow in the tail. If the RDM has Barsilence up, then there is more trouble for it's opponet. And if that dosn't work, the Mage silencing the RDM can eat cold steel and get inturrupted to death.

SMN Vs. RDM = SMN death. And trying to remove a buff when blink is up is not pretty.

RDM Vs. PLD = PLD death. There is Stoneskin, then there is RDM's Stoneskin. It will take tons of beats to ware it off, and if the RDM decides to cast Stoneskin, the remove it so the fresh one can go up, that's just plain wrong. This goes for any competetor.

RDM Vs. WAR = WAR death etc...

RDM has the highest enhancing and it's already been proven to me that Stoneskin is very tough to remove even if the competetion is a good 5 levels higher. And many of my kills resulted in taking in 0 DMG.

RDM/BLM is not a damage dealer, but what it will do is gentally squeaze it's prey to death.

Without Enhancing magic RDM can take more abuse that alot of Melee classes too. People don't really know this. Even so, phalanx it. Even if enhancing wore off, RDM naturally are hard to inturrupt when casting, so Stoneskin most likely will go back up if it's been taken away.

RDM/NIN is just plain wrong, wrong, wrong. And very unfair. Making it the bad ass. Eh heh !

Anttaru... you're avatar is telling me to do things I dun wanna do... please make him stop.

Summon, set to attack, and run away

rdm chases SMN, while getting munched by fenrir, you turn to beat on the puppy, he Eclipse bites you, and you're screwed. and if 2Hrs were allowed, you'd still go down. you manage to sleep/bind fenrir, dismiss, and resummon. same goes if you kill him. then a minute later, Bitebitebite again, and you waste time/mp cureing yourself.

same situation for BST really.

and also, SAM/RNG (if allowed) would own you all. they dont need more than a 20 second window when you're out of shadows/blink/stoneskin to kill you. Sidewinder/meditate/sidewinder/reverberation and you're down.

RNG with O.Bow is similar, since a Bow is too slow to really get off a barrage.
Shadowbind, Slugshot, Barrage, shoot them (if theyre not dead) and Slugshot again.
and if 2hrs are allowed, RNG would have the advantage again, since they only gotta get you to 1/2 then bamn, EES blows your head off.

Well it takes time to cast spells, probably if you were prebuffed it would be possible.

War/Nin can most likely get Double Attack on both hands and you're left with no shadows. You can probably get in a few debuffs in, but I don't think it will be enough. Once they get enough TP, it's pretty much over

Sam/Rng can hit Meiko Shisui, run up, Tachi: Hobaku, Sidewinder 2 times and a 3rd if for whatever reason you're still alive.

Thf/Nin will take you're shadows down extremely fast. With all the Evasion Bonuses, hitting them will be pretty hard, so the only way to take their shadows down is Magic, and you'll get interrupted for sure with their attack speed.

Yeah, and Thief has something else up their sleeve for you too.

I've found so far that Sneak Attack *After a sleep bolt when your shadows go down.* will cut through not only blink, but also protect and spikes. Not sure about Stoneskin/Phallanx yet. :?

Oh, and I don't know how effective they would be, but blood bolts and poisen bolts aren't effected by your buffs. You actually take down a Thief's shadows, it'll only make Blood Bolts hurt that much more.

Now I think it's safe to say that sub jobs in this event *might* tip the scales. And also taking into account player skill, and all those little outside factors that are detrimental to macros (lag) and such, would a Red Mage dominate? Would a Ninja simply own every other job? :?

And with no subjobs at a level 55 cap, what two member team of Qcdn would just simply dominate the masses?

Imagine Firestreak (NIN) teamed up with Vang (NIN)....

No no no. Vang (any job) & Cubswoo (any job) would be the best team. 1 minute with them and their opponents would be convinced they were noob players and should quit the game. By default, they would win.

Vang's Trashtalk increases by .3!
Vang's Trashtalk reaches level 175!
Vang learns "Noob Crusher"!

Cubswoo's Cutting Wit increases by .2!
Cubswoo's Cutting Wit reaches level 175!
Cubswoo learns "Emotional Blackmail"!

Rng + Brd

Ohhhh awsome teams is now the discussion. The limits to the combinations would be great.

As a thief I'd have such an awsome time with a solid melee DD, I couldn't protect a blm otherwise I'd want them.

Thf+drg or Thf+rng

Thf-interupter/shadow remover/evader

Rng or drg-setter of a light SC and provides the damage when enemy is vulnerable, wouldn't be all that different from xp situations for what I'd want to be with. Maybe a warnin with axes though, they can set light SC and can take of themselves well, and drg could too though with their jumps and drg/whm is subs allowed. Rng would be awsome damage but I don't picture them being able to take care of themselves as well without a tank figure, and as a thf I'm sure as hell not there to protect the rest of Vanadiel.

What about larger party vs party though? 6 vs 6, the elements of a fight would not be like that of xp at all.

Slap a Gravity on the doggie and chase the SMN, if the SMN wants to stay close to Fenrir, the SMN will only die faster. Also Fenrir will have to deal with enhanced def. before Fenrir dies it would be a good idea to then silence the SMN. And if RDM is gonna use Chainspell in such a way as consentrating on nuking, It's a garunteed death. In pvp there is little need of RDM needing to use cure.

If it's a RDM/NIN Vs. a RNG, nothing will stop the RDM from casting Uts. Using Shadowbind will only happen once cause the RNG will die before they can cast it again. The trick is to catch the RDM without Defensive enhancements. Blink is only good for magic def and sucks for physical attacks.

SAM/RNG If need be just kite it. Still not much of a threat though.

BST Vs. RDM. Honestly What is a BST gonna do ?

In that case, RNG would probably own it. only if the RNG eats poision powders, or if it gets the jump on it's opponent with sleep arows.

How about Sam sc with himself, then blm bursts with AM?

Looks like your wish came true:

RNG/NIN with Loxely bow and status arrows would be very tough to beat. That delay is absoloutly insane. Hard to argue with that.

EDIT; So there's already lots of threads about this... hmm Sorry for resurrecting this one!
