Cor Rolls

Just a question. If there is no one else to pull in the pt shouldnt a COR pull then?
That's what I think, somone once told me that would be like brd pulling so im not pulling...I was like wtf...brd pulls best in game...He jus Lol:d and refused to pull and said that brd doesnt pull

I guess I'm not a bard then, with my pulling 100% of the time since level 67.

Since corsair's use guns, it takes forever for their shot to actually go off. They can pull, but other jobs can pull much faster. In that party we actually disbanded a little early because a few other parties showed up and were able to out pull our corsair, who was our puller.

IMO THF/NIN with Fighters Roll and Thieves Roll is SOOOOOOO Broken.
Gogo Trip Attack and Double attack they can DD so nice.

thf, and "DD so nice", do not belong in the same sentance.

As a general Rule, in Square Enix's Game: "Final Fantasy XI", anythgin that can alterate the function of Time will give you the most noticeable increase in efficiency.

X% haste = X% more damage & X% closer to Weapon skilling.
Y% Double Attack = (Y x 2) = X% haste

I.E. If you have 5%-8% double attack added to party members, it functions as 10-16 more hits per 100 hits, or 10%-16% Melee Haste, witht he added bonus of Processing on a Weaponskill (5%-8% chance).

Hunter's roll: if you had 5%-8% Accuracy on the top of your melee, and you were already at 80% accuracy, you would only get a 5%-8% increase in damage max per 100 hits.

Rogue's Roll: if you had an additional 5%-8% chance at doing 50%-100% more damage a swing you's be adding 2.5%-16% more damage per 100 Hits, with the added 5%-8% chance of critting a weapon skill.

Combining Fighter's Roll & Rogue's Roll:

Per 100 swings @ 80% Accuracy: you get 88-93 swings (+DA on WS)

thats:

12.5% - 26% increase in damage, when you include Rogue's Roll. (+DA & Crit on WS)

Hunter's Roll & Chaos Roll:

Per 100 swings @80% Accuracy: you get 85-88 more swings

Thats:

10% - 16% increase in damage, when you factor in Chaos roll.

Now keeping in mind the percents I was giving are grossly understated, you can see the merit in having Fighter's/Rogue's.

MATH R TEH FUNZ0RZ!!!

In the settup proposed:

Samurai Roll / Hunter's Roll:

85-88 % Accuracy @ 8 - 18 Store TP

you still would have benefitted more from Fighter's over Hunters:

88 - 93 hits @ 80% accuracy @ 8 - 18 Store TP.

War, War, Thf, Cor, Brd, Whm:

Fighter's/Rogues & March/Minuet for Melee, Healers/Evoker's & Ballad/Ballad for WHM is about as good a pt settup as you can get.

10% Base DA + 8-18% more, and an added 8-18% Crit rate on top of that...

I was watching everyones accuracy not just mine. My potential to dd comes second to what the party needs. Hunters roll with out RNG is still decent accuracy, granted its not the best but its a good boost. Fighter's roll gives a small boost to double attack that is not even worth it unless the war is in the party. I was using SAM roll for TP I believe.

Chaos roll is still decent with out a DRK, at my level it can add 20-30 attack which is nice. Choosing rolls based on whats in the party is a bad way to choose rolls. I say that because certain rolls only effect pets and some just give spikes or shell effect.

The part disbanded because two lvl 75 merit parties rolled in with brds pulling and double pulling. I can out pull a brd with quick draw but it was still hard getting claim with pts that kill faster then we did.

Baj you need to realize the having fighter rolls up in that pt would have been useless. The amount it would of happened would be barely above the normal amount. Having the acc to hit the mob or even do more damage an attack is better then giving you a shitty double attack roll.

Sushi is not the end all accuracy boost you make it out to be. Also you complain about people being gimp, sorry if not everyone can afford to put in the time and gil to have the best equipment. If I remember correctly you started bitching because Charcoip was wearing a signal pearl. You got all bent out of shape about an earring and started saying you would tank in a republic aketon. You seriously need to get a grip.

I actually hafto agree. THF's damage output is something like 85% from their WSes. Beyond hitting 100TP pre-SA/TA cooloff, I don't see much profit out of them hitting a ton. =/

20-30 attack is very little when you have 350'ish base attack before any buffs, especially considering the other boosts you could be getting.

How big is the effect without a war? I haven't been able to find any actual information on that, only corsairs saying "it's not worth it" without any actual proof to back it up. Given the increase with a war, I'd imagine that it's around 5% or so, which is most definitely worth it even without a war. Plus, since the value of the buff changes depending on the number you roll(oh look, more info on cor that I already had); if you just rolled a 1, yeah it'll suck, but if you rolled an 11 it'd be much better. But then I'm assuming you'd double up and go for a better buff rather than just live with whatever the initial roll is.

When you're playing a song that we don't need, any increase in double attack rate would be better. Accuracy has diminishing returns, and when you're eating sushi, you won't don't need an accuracy roll/song at those levels. Sushi is a phenomenal increase to your accuracy, if you can't hit at least 85% of the time on non-evasive mobs with sushi and no brd/cor, then you're doing something seriously wrong. If you had been a bard singing madrigal, I would have told you to do double minuet or minuet/march, since madrigal wouldn't have been important either.

You're tripping over your own excuses, you say the accuracy wasn't needed but that it would have helped more than a higher chance to double attack. When I said to give the drk roll you refused, saying the accuracy was better; eventually you started doing drk roll, but I figured the leader told you to do it.

In regards to charcoip's gimpness, of course I'm going to fucking say something when the white mage is wearing a signal pearl in a full party in an aht urghan area. He was also wearing the whm AF+1 because he didn't want to mule for his elemental staves, claiming they "weren't needed." You didn't have a problem with me pointing out his lack of staves(weren't you the one who lent him your dark staff so he'd actually be useful?), but apparently the signal pearl went too far. I also didn't mention the rest of his shitty gear and stuck to the two biggest problems. Apparently I should have just left that party since no one else cared that the whm was wearing useless gear.

Thieves are good. At giving the mob lots of tp. I guess they do have a use for treasure hunter though.

Haha, the roll arguments were the least of the problems in this party. Bajaratt was complaining before we even started the party saying 24 people in Caedarva Mire was too much to xp there and we would not be able to claim a mob and xp would suck. Then complained she didn't like Imps and if we had to go there she would leave, funny thing she d/c'd on 2nd fight last party we had there too.

Oh but when I mentioned that she goes off on how she d/c's in most of her partys. Oh well w/e I dont really care where we xp, we finally go to Sea Puks after party spent half an hour argueing on where to go.

Baja never exactly asked for WAR roll either, she was a bitch to everyone in that party because she obviously thought she was better then everyone else. Alobont uses a different roll and she starts bitching again asking why hes using useless rolls and she DEMANDED for Fighter's Roll, because that's obviously the only good roll out there amirite?
