Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

The fun side effect of playing Crisis Core is that it caused me to go back and start playing Final Fantasy 7. No idea how far I'll get before something shiny distracts me, but I'd forgotten how good it is (although it'll never replace FF8 in my heart).

*highfive*

Not many people like 8, but we stick with it lol

that's because 8 was a BAD GAME! Fine story, most of the characters were lame though, but BAD GAME. Broken cause leveling = stupid (and in an RPG that makes no sense), using magic = bad (cause it weakens you), and other various poor game designs :P

but, I digress.... woot for FF in general :D

That belongs to FFII I'm afraid... I enjoyed VIII for what it was, and would gladly replay it, and probably will soon lol.

Other than the game play elements and most of the story it was a good game.

so what you're saying is that it was mainly a bad game? XD cause taking out most of the story and the gameplay elements there is not much left :P

I just picked up the game last night and my fiances godchild is lending me her Slim PSP since she doesn't really play it any more. I do have one question, how do I go about connecting the PSP to my 32" flat screen?

you'll need a TV adapter

Is the ending song of the English game in Japanese or English? I was wondering if they resung the song or did they pull a FFX again and used the JP one :p

No one cares ele. If you're gonna digress, then digress, don't continually say the same thing over and over.

I saw the X-Play review of Crisis Core. I tend to agree with their reviews, but I was kinda surprised by the low score they gave it. They didn't care for the combat -- I concede that spamming one button is repetitive, but it doesn't phase me much -- and hated the dialogue.

They didn't mention the missions, which for my money is one of the more enjoyable aspects of the the game. Those bite-size battles are great for a portable title.

I'll eventually beat the main storyline... someday... after the missions are complete.

I just bought this and I just beat the first mission and I have to say, I'm impressed. The battle system is fun, the graphics kick ass and I can't wait to see where the story goes.

Xplay is biased against jrpgs!

They give crisis core a 2 and vikings and soem pinball game a 4, ya ok.

This game has some sweet graphics + cutscenes. Glad I bought it o-ob

The cutscene with Angeal, Genesis, and Sephiroth fighting on the cannon in the training room simulation was awesome.

Oh you'll be annoyed with it. Soon.

Depends on how much people grind I guess. I grinded out a bit initially and got annoyed eventually. I can do some every now and then, but not grind. Too ... much :shok:

The only thing I find annoying so far is the voice at the beginning and end of battle. As for grind lvling. I spent a good two weeks lvling 5 chars in Mandelia plains(Sp?) in FFT before I did any story. I have no issues with grind.

I started getting annoyed on the first mission because it seemed too repetitive, but the cutscenes were worth it in the end.

The ending to this game was just the best FF ending ever
