Looks cool, but the trailer doesn't show anything with multiplayer, which is what made the first game fun.

It says 'coming soon' at the end, but does anyone know anything more about the release date?

The only thing the Final Fantasy wiki site says is "2007 TBA"

However, it does say that FFCC: Ring of Fates is due for release in Japan on the 23rd August.

This doesn't have that stupid maisama crap where you gotta have a moogle carry a lantern and slows down cause it gets tired does it? I thought that got kinda annoying, also the fact that I had no clue what to do anymore in the first game xD

It looks interesting..want to see more though, it seemed like a lot of cinematics, or I just thought the gameplay was cinematics

Ring of Fates, there is no Miasma.

Crystal Bearers, it might be around, but you don't need to carry a Chalice. If you played the first one, one of the characters was working on a device that used crystals that allowed people to freely walk in the Miasma. Hence "Crystal Bearers," in this game that device is finished.

oh thank god! lol my moogle got tired and flew extreamly slow after like the first step of each level =/

I can't tell, but 38 seconds in, is that just a Demi/darkness attack, or was he attacking with Miasma?

I haven't beat the GC Crystal Chronicles, so I dont know if the Miasma is still there.

Is ring of fate going to be multi-player through wifi? if so freakin sweet i'll get it along with CB.

WiFi? Yes.
NWC? Thats still to be determined.

But the Singe Player forces your party with the twins, the yuke, and the lilty. Multiplayer allows you to be any of the four races, with gender options.

You obviously didn't play with friends were you could designate a "chalice bitch."

Not to mention dropping chalice during combat nearly prevents the moogle being tired completely(and allows him to boost your offensive spells.) Unless you're in the desert or the volcano areas and didn't shave him. Then you're just a retard.

looks fun never beat GC one because i got close to the end(I think) and got really hard couldnt beat it on my own and im not buying Gameboy advances to beat it with friends =\

I own the GC one and I have to say that I find it extremely boring. The dungeon crawling is just far too dull and repetitive for me. Jazz on in, find the magic and artefacts, beat the boss, watch random/crappy/generic cutscene on way to next lifeless dungeon - rinse and repeat after three years.

I think I'll rent this one first.

That's because it's really only fun with 3+ people. I found the single player more fun than everyone says it is, but multiplayer is where it really shines. Like Four Swords.

I confess to only trying multi-player a handful of times.

Although the only perceivable difference I remember apart from assigning a chalice bitch, was the "complex" element of lining up target circles for shiny magic.
