Dancer is just taking from FFT at this point. But yeah we really are coming to the end of the line when it comes to new jobs.

Dancer was in FFV, the FF game most known for its job system. I'd hardly call it "coming to the end of the line".

Like I said before, it could just be a CS from earlier times, and if not, FFXI has been without a /dance emote for a very long time

Its not a complaint, just an observation. And I observe that they are coming to the end of the "acceptable FF job canon". Guess I had to spell it out. Sure, they can come up with hybrid jobs, or re-hashes of existing jobs. We'll just have to wait and see.

And read my post again. The "fanboy" shit was about jumping the shark by appealing to fanboys by making jobs like Plumber(Mario) Akuma(Streetfighter) and the most overused FF name (and name varient) in the game taken by players. THAT's jumping the shark.

FFT wasnt the only game where Dancer was used! ZOMG!

OMG! I've forgot or didnt play some games! Sue me. And who cares if dancer was used before. It doesnt lessen the fact that SE is running out of jobs that were origionally considered "canon" for this series. And its kind of obvious that SE would use the jobs that FF used in the past. Thats one of the biggest draws to this game. The fact that people can play the jobs of the characters that they had fun with in the previous titles. I get that.

Wow, excellent observation skills! I don't think anyone have realized that by now. And naturally they're running out of jobs, since the previous FF games only hold so much jobs. But so what? Maybe then they can actually start balancing the other jobs more.

Why are people still citing people riding chocobos in the trailer as chocobo knights? I doubt SE would showcase a job, even in quick shots, without naming them, and the mechanics of chocobo knight that people come up with are downright dumb.
I've said it in other threads, I'll say it again: Mounted combat in general is much more likely than a job specific to it.

The female dancer on the stage was obviously an NPC. The jobs main NPC, much like Zeid is for Dark Knights. LETS ALL JUDGE THINGS BY WHAT NPCS IN CUTSCENES ARE/CAN DO! Chocobo Mounted knight job? Fuck that noise, give me some drop kicks like Prishe has. Give Black Mages the dark kamehameha Galadar prepares to do in Mihli's backstory quest. Obviously, since these NPCs have jobs available to us, that means we get them too.

You dont know how glad Im going to be to be slapping "In your face" posts around the board after comments like these.

That perhaps, just perhaps, they only made the female version of the AF in order to show us what it looks like, and then go to work on the job itself some more, as well as the other jobs, and the rest of the expansion, in order to get it out in time. The AF quest itself won't be available until at least 3 months after the game is released, just like ToAU AF were delayed. That gives them over 3 month to work on the male version of the AF.

First of, they've shown Dancer as both Elvaan and Hume. So they've shown it as multiple races. Second of, they only showed BLU before ToAU release as males. Let me go tell all of the female BLU's that they don't exist and need to stop pretending.

The story they've mentioned so far is the history of the job. How it came to be a popular job the first time. Not how it will be the second time it comes back during the crystal war. Nowhere does it state that it will be a female only job. And no, I know, nowhere does it state it will be a gender-neutral job either. However, considering the previous 18 jobs are all gender-neutral, and due to them showing 2 males in the video, it can be safely assumed that it will be a gender-neutral job until otherwise stated by SE themselves.
