DATAMINING THREAD JUNE 9TH UPDATE

[Sharpe]

Whoa, how do the good SMNs get this item? ^^

Kill the mob in my picture and hope it drops

[Negorissimo]

Help me with a Malboro and I'll tell you D:

You've got a deal! I know you have free Fenrir in dark weather too so we can own anything this game can throw at us. ^^

[Sharpe]

Found It

[Myrrh]

Hate joo D:

[Negorissimo]

Oh sht, this is going on atm an I'm trapped at the office... Hate joo too! ^^

[Celvantes]

I had the first set bonus active with Head and Hands, just got on this morning before work (couldn't get on last night) and picked up the Hose...additional 5 resist given for them. So the set bonus doesn't go away, you get a further bonus of it.

Smooth - good to know. I was kind of wondering about the +5 total... seemed kind of weak for a set bonus. What was the new bonus with 3 pieces, +8?

If it's 2.5 for each piece of gear, that wouldn't be too bad... a grand total of +12.5 elemental resist to all elements would be nice situationally for Limbus. The mDef/enmity is what really makes the set - no more buying random pieces of gear just for Ultima.

Any word on how to get the Avalon Breastplate? That thing is *awesome.* That + Valhalla will cover all of my PLD needs.

Also, cheers on the new spell. I thought it would be something like +50% rate to shield block, but near 100% block rate is just insane. Unfortunately, I think they'll nerf it though.

With this, I think my PLD/NIN will be retiring from merit parties, just as it was starting, lol.

The biggest question is going to be this: Does the damage from the spell count towards hate? We know spikes damage doesn't count, but the name of the spell makes me wonder. If the damage does indeed count towards hate, this cound be revolutionary for the PLD job.

[Sharpe]

Is it just me or did Reprisal just totally reflect the Quadav's TP move.

[Kotsu]

I hate you Sharpe... lol I'm at work, gotta patch tonight so I won't play again until tomorrow night x.x

[jamal]

Reprisal spikes do work with SS on

Total bonus for 3 pieces is +10, 5 for first set and 5 more for legs when I added them.

[Tyrath]

Reprisal spikes do work with SS on

That's not cool, Dreadspikes doesn't work with stoneskin D:

Grats lol. You called it. XD

DRK also has an exclusive spell line that could be called broken in it's own right coughABSORB-TPcough.

Let PLD have something special for a change >.<

Interesting find, Jamal... I'm guessing:

1=0 (makes sense because 1 can't be a set)
2=5
3=10
4=15
5=20

Not a make-or-break for the set, but when PLD has limited light resist gear compared to jobs that can use eastern wear, it sure helps.

[Xalioniaf]

So:
-Iron Ram's set bonus increases per piece
-Reprisal works with stoneskin
-Wakmidget can't edit the opening post, and thus should not make future datamining threads.
Success!
