The problem with Brenner, and to a lesser extent, Ballista, are the piss-poor rewards.

What needs to be done to keep people interested in chocobo racing is a slew of items people will be falling over themselves to get ... nothing game-breaking, but then again, something that's good enough that you'd nearly be considered "lazy" or "a n00b" not to have it. Look at what chocobo racing would yield in FFVII.

Not expecting anything on that scale, but still ... one should get something out of it, something solid.

R/Ex trophy house furnishings would be neat, but would only draw certain crowds I spose. If they made it give points for whistle recharges, then it would be really popular.
 
If my meds weren't knocking me out so i can't stay awake more then 2 hours, I would be humping Chocobos for eggs.

Especially if as SE said somewhere, your chocobo will run automatically during the race. If thats true, then thats really lame...

It's funny. People bitch and whine about there not being enough solo(exp) rewards. Ballista and Brenner were given EXP rewards. You get an amount based off your participation with a cap based on the level cap. Regardless of win/lose status, you still get this EXP. While not a major EXP increase, it's still soloable. You don't risk anything(aside from a paltry sum of gil.) And it's enjoyable doing it. This EXP is also Limitable, unlike Besieged.
 
People bitch about everything.
Everyone doesnt feel the same about everything and there is no way in hell everyone can be happy.
So in the end what you should do is to do your own thing and tell everyone else to just fuck off.
 
I said this before on other forums: The reason we can't control them ourselves is an issue based on the lag of an MMO server. Go on a voice chat on pc or console with a friend (providing you can and have friends), tell them when you see yourself running side by side and they'll tell you how far they acually are ahead and you'll even be behind what you can see. (I dont think I explained that well but its a lag issue). You wouldn't have a clue what position you were in and if you thought you was dead first, stopping to take the p**s would be your biggest racing mistake. Now if you didn't control the chocobo you'd see everyone including yourself exactly as it is and everyone will be where they should be and this will also mean that there is a far less chance of people playing dirty and the way you raise your chocobo will have more impact on the results.

Im tellin ya... give it about a week, lol. NOTHING will speed up the process, just like you cant make your plants grow faster with gardening. Makes more sense that the cycle would follow as Egg (1 week) Chick (anywhere from 1-2 weeks) adolescent (anywhere from 1-2 weeks). Chick and Adolescent will probably intertwine midweek... or maybe Chick will take a week and adolescent will take 2...

Egg.

For the evolution from whatever came before the chicken, became the chicken whilst inside the egg as an embrio, egg laid by the predasessor =/= chicken egg. Thus it is Velocoraptor -> Egg ->Chicken.

So out of Chicken and Egg, it was the egg.

Alot of colleges in USA do not teach evolution only teach the something about the strongest animals live and the weak die not they evol to get to where they are today (well they did teach that 10yrs ago last i heard)

Survival of the fittest what i meant was how all animals where there and slowly they died they did not change to there envorment but just died off.
