TV Deadliest Warrior

As the show ends and much more machu BS was tossed around with a touch of bad information...

Two quotes stood true in this show.. They both came from the Samurai dude.. As i remember the quotes..

"Take the greatest Viking in history and pair him against the worst Samurai and maybe you have something to talk about."

"In the end the only thing that can stand up against a Samurai, is a Samurai."

True words spoken.

What is next weeks battle?

I wanted to add i found the list for future battles... All i can say is wtf?

Pirate vs. Knight
Yakuza vs. Mafia
Maori vs. Shaolin Monks
William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu
Ninja vs. Spartan
Green Beret vs. Spetnaz
Taliban vs. IRA

A naval battle between Viking and Samurai forces, Vikings would win hands down.

And yeah, Osy. Pirate vs. Knight and Ninja vs. Spartan are pretty fucked up pairings. Knight vs. Spartan would be great. Ninja's were more spies and assassins than warriors, so putting them up against a foot soldier is pretty retarded. I guess their justification for that match up is that Spartans didn't run around in heavy armor, and Ninjas didn't either.

Now, Pirate vs. Viking would be amazing. As would Knight vs. Samurai.

I think these three match ups would have worked fine.

Ninja vs Apache
Samurai vs Knight
Viking vs Gladiator

I am honestly watching for the cool ballistic gell fun. Did you see the Samurai just shave off the skull... I mean that stuff is very cool on this show.

Fact wise and information wise the show is horrid.

Samurai vs Knight... On horse, or on foot? What period?

Samurai are nifty and all, and the katana is a marvelous weapon, but don't read too much from anime into the reality of the situation. A plate-armored knight in a mounted lance charge against a samurai lancer... No question. Knight 4tw.

With the gladiator, they were all criminals and prisoners put in the arena for show. Now, im not a historian but its possible they didnt give them a bow because they were not very skilled in it, its not like gladiators were trained their whole lives to be gladiators.

Idk, i think you can argue both ways for each one

Yakuza Vs. Mafia? That is some dumb shit

I thought on Paper a NInja would get owned by a spartan, but spartans edge were fighting in teams, Ninja might edge it. The trend so far has been brain over brawn though imo.

I still want to know if theyre gonna choose an overall winner, or pair up winners against each other, like apache vs. samurai and what not

I believe all the fights on the show will be on foot.

As said previously, pirate vs. ninja would be win. And yeah they could pair them up a little more evenly.

Edit: Just watched the Sam/Viking one and I think they could not only pair the two forces better but the weapons used as well. Shoulda been Katana vs. Long sword and Naginata vs. Great axe like it was when they did the simulation.

I felt cheated by this week's show. The match should've been over when the Samurai was knocked off the bridge-thingy.
Next week's Gladiator vs. Ninja. I want to say Gladiator, but after the last two fights it feels like they're not going with who's better at all.
I'm just watching it now for the weapons testing they do lol.

It doesn't matter if Spartans trained as a unit. Ninjas were not soldiers. I don't care what romanticized crap you've watched where a single Ninja takes out 50 feudal soldiers. They were spies and assassins with martial arts training. That's hardly fit for fighting on a battlefield.

Sure, a Ninja could beat a Spartan. If he poisons his food or drink, or takes him out while he's asleep. But in a fight, the Ninja is fucked.

Romanticized crap? Dude get over yourself, nowhere in my post does it say ZOMG NINJA IS GONNA KICK SPARTANS ASS! I just said its possible for this show, you dont know how theyre actually going to portray the Ninja.

Its a fight to the death, one small little thiing could turn the fight in the favor of one or another is all im trying to say.

As in the moment as Airou usually is he is right here. You do not know how these ass tard hormone hungry dudes will praise ninjas numbers in weaponry. The Samurai should have won by a LAND SLIDE but they made it some numerical battle. We have no idea what numerical values they will give to whatever soldiers.

The whole Katana vs Chain-mail thing surprised me.. but at the same time it didn't.

That was SUCH a cool episode. See I'm not going to over analyze the living shit out of this show. It's just too fucking awesome to have something like this to ruin it by dissecting it to death.

I KNOW THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT.

But seriously, just enjoy it.

The Samurai is the more skilled warrior. It's proven... numbers will ALWAYS get in the way guys... that's OUR society. Poo to stat geeks! Poo to YOU!

That is the way i am viewing the show now. I dont care what their numbers say really i just want to see what they do to the dummies.

I get annoyed with all the back-and-forth bickering between teams, but seeing that axe cleave the gel figure in half vertically was pretty fucking awesome.

BULLFUCKING SHIT! a Pirate could NOT beat a Knight that badly! The flintlock didn't get through the armor from like 3 feet away and the blunterbus only got 1 pellet through at like 2 feet range. The sword couldn't do shit to the armor and the grenado didn't penetrate the armor.

Complete and udder crap!

Who cares, next week's episode is gonna be freakin' epic.
Mafia v. Yakuza. Not just one either, a whole team of each.

I was a little surprised to see the pirate win last night. He won in a pretty cool way, though.

I guess armor doesn't matter as much in their simulation? I don't know, seems weird.

Next week's episode seems strange. Guns vs guns? I don't know...

The halberd smashing into that skull and obliterating the jelly flesh was AWESOME.

I was a little unsure how they were going to go about the battle to begin with. Pirates overtake vessels and ships seizing and killing, those are usually the circumstances as I understand it. I was picturing knights jumping aboard a pirate ship to battle. Or populating a vessel of their own to battle. Perhaps attacking from afar on the mainland using... idk bows and arrows?? Did knights use catapults?

All of which I thought was funny to imagine.

I didn't end up seeing the end result, I wanted to play rockband so I did =p

Oh man, I was hoping last night's fight between Shaka Zulu and William Wallace would end that way, but after seeing team Wallace miss twice with the ball and chain, I got nervous.

Next week's episode, IRA vs Taliban... I don't know... Seems like a weird season finale match-up.
