December 21, 2012 and Planet X

NASA claims to have found a 10th body in 2003 and named it Eris in 2005, and they released estimated status on it's size and ecliptic orbit, which is kinda similar to how Nibiru is suppose to appear with various exceptions, including it's distance. Eris is what they call a Trans Neptunian Planet.

Read about it.

Funny, I did.

Eris is a cold planet, not much different from Pluto. You are right about it's odd orbit. It seems to not orbit in a circle, so it moves closer to and further from the Sun as it goes around. Of course, it couldn't be Nibiru because it takes Eris only 557 years to go complete its orbit, and that means we'd be getting a blast of crazy weather and whatnot every 600 or so years. However, because of its strange orbit and coolness (that's COLD people) most astronomers don't believe it should be a classified as a planet or dwarf planet. Also, Eris won't be its closest to our Sun until the year 2257.

Secondly, Ceres is in the astriod belt and the largest astriod on that belt.

Counting those planets, plus Pluto equals 11 'planet-like-objects' in our neighborhood.

More than 8 my friend NASA counts 11, They also do not include 4 other bodies in this count. Why i do not know. Forget Uranus. It's about Neptune.

What are the other 4?

I still can't find a reputable site about Planet X or Nibiru though. Maybe you could provide some links?

Yeah, like I said, I have NO IDEA where he got his numbers. That source should be lynched.

My guess is to add 3 zero's to each of his numbers.

1.6 BILLION people in 1900 sounds a bit more feasible.

first of, Anttaru. I'm not sure how many times I can say this, but the mesoamerican calendar is not as exact as you state. The mayan calendar is the one that's so exact, due to them using 2 calendars. Sure, their 365 calendar is based on the mesoamerican calendar, but that one isn't that exact. Its the combined forces of the two calendars that bring them their super powers.

Yes i'm aware of that, i even mentioned that the Mayan calendar is a refined version of the Mesoamerican calendar. The long count Mesoamerican calender included the prediction from what i have read. no magic or super powers in the mayan calendar either. Just math and physics.

and yes, I did write that with comedy in mind.

Also, your "scientifically" explained population curve is very wrong. very wrong.

Make no mistake. I said Going by Science Which means Science says, not i.

The world population has not increased from 1,6 mil to 6,6 billion in 100 years, nor has it increased by almost 6 billion in 200 years. Also, there were A LOT more then 300k people in the year 1000. I have no idea where you got those numbers from, but that source shouldn't even be allowed to exist.

I also said "Again this is sciences estimates, if it's changed let me know."

30k years ago the Neanderthals died out. Interesting enough, they mated with Homosapiens, which is one of the reasons they died out. We increased our territory from the eastern tip of Africa, and moved north with a speed of 1km per year. This ment that we pushed the Neanderthals towards the edges of Europe and Asia. Our two species eventually mated, while the other remaining Neanderthals died out.

Hard times.

However, around 10k years ago if I remember correctly, a natural disaster of some kind, or a plague-like event, resulted in mankind to almost go extinct. We worked our way up again, luckily, and here we are today. This is one of the reasons the entire human species have a smaller DNA-variation then a flock of gorillas.

I'm interested to hear more about that event that happened in 7000 BC. How many were left for us to have gone almost extinct ?

Its a random guess that can apply to a lot of different things. Here's another one given a long time ago:
-Two brothers standing tall will fall.

After Twin Towers fell, people went "WOW! HIS PREDICTIONS CAME TRUE!". However, "Two brothers will fall" can apply to pretty much ANYTHING involving two of something.

Who wrote this ?

Uzor said:
A super volcano can just refer to a large volcano, or a large volcanic eruption. A great diverse nation can mean several things. pretty much every nation is diverse in one way or another. People just apply the predictions to whatever fits the category.

There are 3 Super Volcano's 1 of them is smack in the middle of the most multi cultural diverse nations in the world.

Negative and Positive. One can't be without the other. In that case Free will is the best cause. From both perspectives.

The Mesoamerican calendar have no long count.

No one knows exactly what happened. I don't remember how that theory came to life, but by studying DNA samples from humans of our time, scientists are confused as to the small genetic variation from person to person compared to other animals. I'd guess its partly due to studying DNA samples from humans found before this time. Although to be honest, it must be hard to find good DNA samples from this time.

As pretty much everything else within science, its only a theory, and not fact. But without theories, science wouldn't move forward.

Not me, i merely posted NASA's estimates and diagram. I take no credit for Eris Orbit, it's still possible Eris is not what they say it is, If it were sightly different i would have still brought it up. It's very similar to how Nibiru is described, in colour and Orbit. There are people that think it is Nibiru. For me that hasn't been answered. I'm just staying tuned.

Off the top of my head i can only remember 1 of them. Look up Sedna. It has an impressive Orbit.

Not sure if i mentioned it earlier. I think i did. But if you want to know more about Nibiru, you'll need to look up content regarding the Annunaki. There is no real reputable site that talks about Nibiru that i know of. What i do know is there are others that looked into this stuff and believe in it just the same.

It couldn't be anyway. Eris' orbit takes it no where NEAR as close as you say Nibiru would have to be to destroy almost all life.

Off the top of my head i can only remember 1 of them. Look up Sedna. It has an impressive Orbit.

Yeah, but the whole thing is smaller than the moon. Just a rock, basically. A big rock, but a rock nonetheless.

I have researched, which is why I'm on the opposite side of your arguement that Nibiru is coming. No reputable site claims that Nibiru exists or that a planet will come near enough to Earth to do damage. Comets, on the other hand, may be a possibility. I just don't see it.

Anyway, let bygones be bygones. I apologize for being rude to you earlier. I still completely and utterly disagree with you, but you can keep thinking whatever you want to believe.

The same way we did ? That is laughable considering how was defiled this world. I posted their illustrations and explained what they mean.

"How was defiled" isn't English. I have no idea what you are trying to say. Please consult a grammar dictionary, and try again. No, seriously, I have no clue what you are saying here.

Another thing that amazes astronomers today is that the ancients did track planets that need a telescope to be seen. i posted an illustration that depicts 12 planets in the solar system.

Um... they did not track planets requiring a telescope to see.

Mayan astronomy consisted of a number of tracked astrological cycles, among them the sun, the moon, venus, the milky way, and a number of constellations such as Orion. Look up scans of the Dresden, Madrid, Paris and Grolier codices to see what I'm talking about.

The illustration you posted is simply incorrect.

Oh really. When we had a Time Shift in the 90's The Mesoamerican calendar predicted it, and we did not foresee it till late. This is what cause the uproar for the Y2k because computer calendars did not implement this time shift, it wasn't so much of a big deal as in most cases we can just adjust the time and date on the computer as we please. Mesoamerican calendar is still kicking and very accurately.

There is no such thing as a time shift. Y2K was simply the result of programmers being lazy and not including a 4 digit placeholder for the year. There was no uproar over Y2K because people either patched their computers or the year simply turned over to "00" instead of "2000." I would like to see one example of somone who uses the Mesoamerican calendar on a daily basis.

Going by science.

Today we have a population of 6.6 Billion people.
in 1900 we had 1.6 million
in 1800 we had 900,000
in 1000 we had 300,000
in 1 we had 200,000
in 1000 BC there was a population of 50,000

Again this is sciences estimates, if it's changed let me know.

Again, you are wrong. Please post the source of this information, because it is extremely inaccurate.

My source is the following:
http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/worldhis.html

1800 - 791 million
1900 - 1.7 billion
1999 - almost 6 billion

Furthermore:
http://home-1.tiscali.nl/~mvb/world/whist2.htm

0 - 300 million
1500 - 500 million

Bottom line, ancient civilizations of any size had *plenty* of manpower to get the job done. They didn't have any kind of magical vodoo power that let them build their temples. Archaeological evidence has shown that they used rollers in the form of tree trunks to allow laborers to pull the blocks along the ground. 3-to-1 or 4-to-1 mechanical advantage pullies were used to hoist the blocks into place.

Now We're talking about 4,500 BC pyramids. If there were hundreds of thousands of workers as you suggested, then there had to have been a cleansing/new beginning between then and now. Most likely Noah's flood.

Most cultures have an oral story of a flood type event, which could have very well happened at the end of the last major ice age. However, this would have happened long before the era of the pyramids, Egyptian or Mesoamerican.

Not sure what you mean by planetary collision. But any civilization that knows the planetary cycles would know they they will line up and effect one another.

Not when they are in a static system. Once balance is achieved, not much can upset that balance.

If you claim to follow the Old testament and only that, then you should believe in Noah's Ark. Why support or follow something that contains stories you find difficult to believe ?

I believe that much of it is allegory, and it is a way of explaining the world to a stone age people who couldn't understand the truth. The story of a flood, like I said before, exists in many cultures, and I believe that there was a time when waters rose, and many cultures across the world survived on boats long enough to reach higher ground. I don't believe the planet was covered with water, but that sea levels rose from what once was a much lower level (due to large polar ice caps) to the current level we see today.

The Bible (English version) was translated in the medieval times, which is why it has an old English accent, it's well written, and probably been tampered with over time, but mistaking an entire concept of a story would be going too far. If you think Human error can screw that up, then why do/would you follow the Old Testament ?

I follow the values that the Old Testament teaches. Choosing right over wrong comes through regardless of if you believe there was actually a Garden of Eden or not.

Ah yes. Like people would take you for an idiot if you believed in the best stories of your Old Testament. Am i right ?

Again, values vs. stories. The point is to understand why the story is being told, not the story in and of itself. People don't take me for an idiot, because I recognize what is important without being a word-for-word fundamentalist.

You're not everyone. There are people who are criticizing me for off topic reasons here. In the list you are one of the few who take me for an idiot. So when i list people who found it trendy to critique me, don't come to me and say "we" can i never included you to begin with. I know you're not striking me because you think it's trendy. I know you're not.

You're right there, I'm criticizing you because I genuinely think you're being an idiot.

I posted plenty of evidence, "and i even stated how we can be wrong about many things", then i posted reasons + evidence as to why i said that. Show me where i said my belief is fact. Please do. And show me or you can even explain what poor evidence have i posted.

Re-read your very first post.

I said it and I'll say again. Science and religion both say these things are going to happen, this is nothing to take for granted. I admit, at one point i do recall stating something along the lines of "When Nibiru comes near, it's no laughing matter". Unfortunately i had to deal with 3 crybabies over it, one being yourself.

Science does not say the world is going to end at that particular date. One religion (one which is long dead) says it might. Again, you use broad generalities which are on the whole, not true.

He had a change in belief of you. Perhaps he'll still treat you better than he treats Uncle Charles.

Um... what?

I ignore proof From who ? and What Proof are you talking about ? Again, don't tell me what i do, quote me on it. And show me where i ignore others. Can you do that please.

Re-read your responses to both myself and Uzor around pages 6-8.

I accept what everyone here says, even you Alyada and Hal. And how can you start saying i only look for evidence and not post it. Seriously how ?

Because if you honestly made a study of what we know about the universe, and how planets orbit, and what we know of Mayan culture, you would see a bit of information that supports what you say, and MOUNTAINS of information that supports what I'm saying. For you to say that you've researched this makes me believe that you've pointedly ignored everything that doesn't fit your established viewpoint. It's called selective attention.

I posted the most content in this thread. And Uzor for one has so much depth, why can't you be like him ? All you bring is talk which is ok, but knock it off with ignoring what i post. You're too focused on fighting.

I do see what you post, and in every response, I've layed down reasons why it's either untrue or exaggerated. I think your selective attention has just made you pass over every piece of evidence I've laid at your feet.

I also said "Again this is sciences estimates, if it's changed let me know."

If this is your "sciences estimate" then its obviously wrong. Give up, your evidence does nothing and your only making yourself to come out looking like a stubborn fool.

in 1900 we had 1.6 million

STFU guys. Everyone knows that no one existed beyond New York City in the year 1900. Sheesh.

(Population of NYC in 1900 was approx. 3,437,202, but yeah, thats still funny!)

I'm sorry Anttaru, but when you post such things that are inordinatly incorrect, you pretty much lose all credibility in anything else you say. You have every right to believe what you want to, but you're not convincing me of anything, and you look like a crackpot from over here. Sorry man.

Don't bug him guys, as we all know his bad grammar/spelling and complete disregard of anything like logic or facts is a unique choice supporting individualism! D:! You're trampling his right to be a unique person :(

God help me, I may be banned.

To Anttaru:

STOP WITH THE DOOMSDAY PROPHECIES. If you're so into this shit, and if you're all about adding in the religious element, STOP ACTING LIKE A FALSE FUCKING PROPHET. Your facts are skewed beyond any form of recognition, your banter lacks wit or tact, and when anyone (and I MEAN ANYONE) gives you a sound rebuttal, you toss up your hand-drawn graphs and effectively say "NO U!"

Honestly? I'm depressed enough about the End Times. For some AWFUL reason I haven't been able to go a single day without thinking about it for almost 8 years now (I've had dreams about it that'd make you piss your pants). EIGHT YEARS. In that time I've read Revelation 16 times. It's not a fun read; I dare anyone to read it and come out unscathed (fuck off, you macho pieces of shit. It scares you too and you know it.) The last thing I want to hear about is some random fella spewing off shit about the Mayans and their Alien ass-rape-buddies coming down in a fiery blaze.

As for this planet not being visible until '09: As Celvantes, and EVERY OTHER PERSON WITH ANY GUMPTION has already indicated, if it were on a 3600-year cycle, we'd see it now, and for the love of God, we'd even see it at daylight. Learn some perspective.

I think I'll go build my bunker now. Get outside, live life while you still have it, and have a drink on me.

In conclusion; get a dictionary, get a reliable source of information, and get a fucking clue. If the world's going to end in 2012, there's only one entity I'll be listening to about it, and it sure as anything won't be a Mortal shouting about the Mayans.

Edit: I hate this damn thread and anything about it. I'd block it off my screen if I could.

Hey Tristam, I'm curious, how does Revelations stack up with other end-of-the-world prophesies? I haven't read it, and I don't think I will for the same reason I can't make it through most of the New Testament: it grinds against a lot of the core beliefs of Judaism. That doesn't mean, however, that I'm not interested.

A few fundamentalist Christians I've talked to speak as if we're entering the end times now, but looking back it seems that in almost every decade since the Revivalists, people have been preaching in some form or another that the end of days are upon us. How do you really know? And in the end, does it really matter? If you live a good life according to the values that Christ taught, would the end of the world coming sooner rather than later make a difference to you at all?

The point of Revelation is not to give an indication of *when*, as in a physical date. It's more of "this is what it will feel like". For me, I've been feeling that something is going to happen for about 8-9 years now, like a buildup. Could be the global climate, it could be the jerking-around that all the world's leaders have been giving the entire planet.

I'm not sure. Some believe that the Antichrist is an allegory for the Roman Empire (specifically, Nero) as it was during the time it was written.

As for myself, I find a charismatic ruler of MEN (not a snake-like alien charmster) ruling the world with a puppet government and vile motives a helluva lot more believable than "another planet holding aliens is going to crash into us".

The failure of so many evangelicals and the like is that they pretend to actually know when the End is coming (I'm staring you in the face, Pat Robertson, Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, Robert Tilton, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Falwell, Hal Lindsey, et al), when in reality they don't have a freaking clue.

I swore a long time ago I'd never quote scripture. There is always someone who can do it faster and better, and a lot of people do it just to suit their own needs. However, when it comes to endtime prophecy, and to knowing *when* it will happen, these are what I am always reminded of:

I Thessalonians 5:4 said:
]For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.[/i]

New Testament said:
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Basically, the only forewarning we'll get is the change in feeling, which brings us to "wars, and rumors of wars" (big-huge-earth-shattering wars, mind you), and the earth rending and so-forth. Nobody will be given divine insight to an End of Days, because we aren't marked for wrath. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.

A few fundamentalist Christians I've talked to speak as if we're entering the end times now, but looking back it seems that in almost every decade since the Revivalists, people have been preaching in some form or another that the end of days are upon us.

Yeah, it seems like we're always in "The End Times." That's the fun of Revelations: it's vague enough with the prophecies that you really can't pin them to anything specific while also pinning them to anything if you try hard enough.

There was an episode of Doctor Who ("Gridlock") set hundreds of thousands of years in the future, and they're singing "The Old Rugged Cross." At first I thought "Ugh, Christianity makes it that long into the future?" before realizing "Jeez, they're still waiting for him to show up?" and grinning.

The Left Behind books are certainly an interesting fundamentalist interpretation of Revelations and end-of-days stuff. That's the sort of church I was raised in, so I knew the basic outline despite not really believing any of it. Still, I couldn't force myself past the third book.

Jeez, they're still waiting for him to show up?

That's something else that gripes me. While yes, we're supposed to *want* to go to Heaven with Jesus and God etc., I don't think we're meant to put our lives on utter hold because we're anxiously awaiting His/Their return. That's why there's no tangible date given.

Do not think that I'm forcing words where they don't belong, but it feels like Jesus told John of Patmos "Listen, this is what the End will look like. Go live the remaining days of your life, enjoy it, and I'll be back when Humanity is in its direst need."

Waiting for something/anything to happen only creates undue stress and worry.

A super volcano can just refer to a large volcano, or a large volcanic eruption. A great diverse nation can mean several things. pretty much every nation is diverse in one way or another. People just apply the predictions to whatever fits the category.

Its like those popular zodiacs. They apply to EVERYONE, pretty much. Things like "The Signs show you should be careful what you say today. People may take it the wrong way" can apply to everyone, every day, any time. However, humans have a tendency to actively look for things that prove our opinion of something. Thus, if we believe something is true, we are awed when we find proof that it is. However, information that states otherwise are either forgotten, ignored, or explained by some kind of inconsistency law.

Take Christianity for example. God is all-knowing and good, and love us. However, there's evil in the world because of free will. That's an excellent example of what I call "law of inconsistency". A law that explains something that goes AGAINST your own belief.
"At forty-five degrees the sky will burn,
Fire to approach the great new city:
In an instant a great scattered flame will leap up,
When one will want to demand proof of the Normans. "

That's what was written by Nostradamus (rather a translation of the original text) and many translated it to fit their own needs. I thought that I heard that the revision that you mentioned was actually a college student's example of how vague predictions like he made at times could mean different things to different people (could be wrong about that last piece). Most Nostradamus enthusiasts don't believe that it was related to New York. http://www.nostradamus-repository.org/nycfaq.html Has some interesting information about that specifically.

Really things like this prove that unless you (A) personally know the prophet, (B) know how to read the original language that the text was written, or (C) were around when the text were written, then you might would know what it means. I personally believe that all ancient texts including the Christian Bible are so open to mistranslation just because of the many, many different translations into different languages and version (i.e. King James version & Contemporary).

I honestly don't think that any one person will know exactly when we're going to go boom. Just live your life to your enjoyment, be a good person, and make sure that the ones that you love know that you love them. We all might not even make it to the end of the world so it's best to do that anyway.
