Seems like Meta might have been too busy giving him shit to take screenshots. I think that's why there isn't any.

He still would have had the chat logs of the RMT and Darth emoting to each other. Also, where were the other people that Metachronism was camping with, why is he the only person to have seen this exchange?

The "challenged" people kind of forget that one is normally not psychic (and I am no exception), and does not anticipate the need to have evidence before anything has happened. Why would I have a screenshot of him being solo? Just because I thought his name looks cool or something?

You know I only saw things *after* the deal, and he had to have been partied with them for that. The best I would have is him partied with someone, which does nothing, since there were multiple parties there. Yay.

Most importantly, why would he be complaining at me for "posting shit" rather than telling me outright that what I said is false? Don't you think that'd be the most logical course if you wanted to try to refute a false rumor?

Having the screenshots of him not being in the party and then suddenly being in one would have been ideal, but there is no reason why you wouldn't be able to get screenshots of the emotes.

How about he's mad someone's posting lies about him? I never said that he was particularly smart or savvy enough to know the best way to dispel a rumor, only that he'd obviously be upset about one. Yeah, it's easily possible that he's pissed because you made an accurate flame, but that still isn't any kind of proof of his actual guilt.

I said from the start that everything is circumstantial. What would you take from some RMTs shouting to sell the belt, walking up to some guy, and then bowing to him after some time? #1 is possibly unreasonable. #2 isn't because you could just scroll up after you take #3 and #4 for added support. #3 isn't unreasonable because if you stuck around long enough for the shouts you were there when Darth supposedly approached the sellers. #3 could even be taken after #4 and then you'd just have to believe he wasn't in a pt before, which coupled with #4 isn't too farfetched. It's only partially about Meta here. He's known on these boards to be a troll, so that + the way the OP was worded - pics = hard to believe.

Actually I talked to Chinis in-game and I'm more convinced now. Chinis actually y'know, talks rather than just trolls. Read all of meta's replies, they don't really help his case any. I know I can be a dick sometimes, but when I make a topic I actually put thought and effort into it. Look at my last few flameboard threads. The Vang one I went and found quotes he said, I took a SS of him in his ls, etc. The one I made about people subbing nin at lower levels was long and thought out. The OP here's like 2-3 sentences and written in typical troll style.

I haven't said that I don't believe him about what happened, only that he has absolutely no proof at all. Me thinking Metachronism is an idiot is irrelevant when he offers absolutely nothing beyond his already suspect word on what happened. Why was no one there smart enough to snag a screenshot if you all "knew" he bought the belt?

From the description of what happened, assuming it's not complete bullshit(which is where the pictures are essential and what people are complaining about), it's very likely he bought the belt. Chinis' post is the only one involved so far that actually has any kind of credibility, but that doesn't deny the fact that a single PICTURE of the emotes would have established that Metachronism isn't completely full of shit(this time) and the thread would have descended into Darth-bashing like he was clearly intending. The OP was pathetic and is the whole reason why this thread is failing so much.

At the same time, Vang had been in a JP run Dynamis LS for over a year, and the part of him "not caring" came from the QCDNers, not a quote you found on the subject.

"Proof" can be miscontrued by the public, and usually goes in favor of the cool kids. Just look at Dufus Shinra cosigning with everyone. Fool doesn't even play on this server, but he picked out who he wanted to side with and is spewing a bunch of nonsense.

i think this is more an issue of meta expecting people to trust his word like his friends or the people he associates regularly do.

There are enough fucktards on qcdn and in this game and real life that have violated that blind trust, so it doesnt exist anymore.

So now you need cold, hard evidence of any occurance, or people just wont believe it, i think people also prefer things be irrefutable before they pass judgment, which is exactly where the "pics or it didn't happen" cliche comes from.

What saddens me the most is that the very first assumption most people here make is that the accusation is false. Couldn't Darth screenshotting his Auto-Translated items (at least, the part where the Belt'd be) work as a means of showing he at least does/doesn't own a belt? If he doesn't even own one then this thread's totally invalid, but he does...probably an entirely different story. And yeah, not everyone can even make screenshots either, just saying this could be a potential way of showing he might not even own one.

It's a pretty heavy accusation and there's not any way good evidence (except in that one SS he is acting a bit weird in his talking, but meh)...all the same I don't think I've ever known meta to just throw such a huge accusation out of nowhere without a good reason, but then, what do I know.
