Need i say it, I am in love with this game.

It just sings the tune of BAD ASS through and through.
From the opening scenes of the game you just know your in for something awesome.
you play as Nero, a cocky guy with a demon arm, who is in love with the sister of a major religious war groups general. The hell gates start opening and demons begin pouring in from everywhere.
And the battle scenes are just top notch. And the music that accompanies you in battle, makes it that much more awesome. Its usually the same song but you will not get annoyed with it like blue dragons annoying battle song.
The vocals are mellowed down and the music slightly drowns them out so most of the time you wont even be paying attention to the vocals and just kickin ass to some battle ready rock.
i havent played a DMC game since DMC1, so i wasnt sure what to expect and started the game off on human mode, demon hunter is for more experienced DMC players.
The graphics are beautiful and everything i would expect from a next gen game. The character models are very detailed and smoothed out, and hell can i complain when some chicks naked ass gets a close up on my 42" HDTV in a battle scene...no...i cant say i can.
They are even nice enough to drop it into slow mo for you.

The puzzles so far are fairly easy, im sure as i progress they will become a bitch. Lots of hidden stuff and secret missions to find, and once you get ahold of a certain corpse after the toad demon boss battle, your demon arm will light up the closer you are to hidden treasures and missions.
There are so many combos to learn and mix in with all your weapons, and they just keep getting better as your progress and add new powers to your arsenal.
Your sword, the red queen, has a motorcycle handle attatched, so you can rev it up for more damage, you can rev it up in your down time and store the power for your next swing as well.
The gun is pretty ineffective at the moment and weak, and barley adds anything to your style meter, im hoping it gets more powerful later as the current charge feature i have on it makes me slow down my groove to charge it up.
the demons you face do change up frequently and are not just the same models over and over.
everytime you buy a new skill or ability, the cost of all the others goes up.
Your demon arm as the power to grab and slam or throw enemies adding much more fun to the battle combos.
Everything is fluid and smooth, and very enjoyable.
The story is enticing and keeps me wondering whats next, and what the hell is going on.
The characters personalities are spot on to each of them, and the voice acting is perfect.

You meet Dante early on in the game in an all out battle which is mostly a tutorial for learning your moves and combos.
As Nero you are on the hunt to track down Dante.

Im only on mission 8 and have done about 5 secret missions but i gotta say i love this game, everything about it just keeps me playing and i dont want to put it down.

I say, Run, dont walk, buy dont rent, GO GET THIS FUCKIN GAME!!!

The achievements are mostly secret ones, but what ive unlocked is hitting stylish, smokin style on my style meter, kill 100 enemies, collect 10,000 red orbs, and completing so many missions on your set difficulty.
oh and guys...big pixelated boobs.
That is all.

Europe don't get it 'till Friday =( Otherwise I'd have picked it up already :P

First 600 to pre-order it gets a Devil May Cry 4 T-shirt free of charge. Not sure if I were one of the first 600, so we'll have to see on Friday.

You're a cheater though ;p

nah i actually have the real game lol, i know a friend workin on the inside...otherwise i woulda been playin this a week ago XD
i gotta wait till release day for lost odyssey too since i pre ordered it and anticipate that game highly, i can wait!

Yes, I know. Hence why I said cheating :P Cheating as get it before xD

yeah your right XD just one day but still early, im on mission 11 currently which from the looks of the achievements is the half way point and i still cant get enough of this.
I cant beat secret mission 7 tho....so fuckin hard.

so im halfway through the portion of the game you play as Dante and this is where my beef on the game comes in, when you play as dante for most of the time you are just running back through the levels you went through as nero, though they are slightly altered here and there and you have to find different ways around because of the different moves sets and abilities, but then you also get to rehash and fight through the same bosses on your way back through. And these bosses dont even pretend they ever got beaten by nero earlier.
its not so much of a bad thing i guess, just kinda annoying that for several more missions it felt as if i was doing the same thing i just did in previous missions only backwards.
i also must say its much much harder to pull off style combos as dante since he hes all the different battle stances, different weapons to switch between, i much more prefer Nero!
i liked being able to snatch up enemies with the demon arm.
The story so far is very much still bad ass, and im almost complete with the game so i hope it ends just as good as its been going.
and theres this scene where Dante gets the Lucifer weapon and destroys a hellgate, i just gotta say...classic!

I'm in a bit of a dilema. I just bought a PS3 (Blu-Ray Player) so I can't decide which platform I should buy this game for. I heard the X-BOX version's animation is more detailed and runs a bit smoother. Is this true?

Also noticed on EB Games that the X-BOX LIVE Logo is on the box. What's that all about? Does this game run on 1080i?

Thanks in advanced.

The Xbox live thing on the box just means that there will be downloadable content for it.

Make did you guys get it in today or break release?

well it seems pretty smooth and fluid to me, i dont have a ps3 to compare it to.
The ps3 version lets you install on the hard drive to shorten loading times...which from i read it doesnt make much of a difference anyway, the loading times are not even long enough to worry about that any how.
besides, Achievements!! lol
Im on the final boss battle now, i get him to one block of health and i cant figure out how to get in any hits once he starts using his near death move. makin me mad!

There wasn't a release to break, it wasn't street dated like Burnout Paradise was. DMC is just "Sell as soon as you transfer it in", and also, unless you live close to where ever DMC ships from, you won't be getting it until tomorrow, because today is when it ships to all the stores.

I will be picking it up tomorrow though, hopefully, along with my paycheck.

You get your paycheck on the 7th? >.O

Its the 5th. I just forgot it there yesterday when i closed.

well i completed the game this morning, I even unlocked the secret ending which is pretty damn easy to get, but its a cool little extra ending anyway.
i loved the game all the way through, its just annoying back tracking and then you fight the same bosses THREE times throughout the game.
when you start over on the next difficulty you start off with all the stuff you had when you ended your first play through. There are different unlockables.
Art work, galleries, and different game modes like Heaven and Hell mode or Hell and Hell mode.
Im working my way through the second time now.

its just annoying back tracking and then you fight the same bosses THREE times throughout the game.

I think the first one was like that, too.

I'm still on the fence. I'm sure I'd love it, because i really liked 1 and 3, but it just seems like more of the same, and I can't justify spending 60 bucks on a game I already have three of.

i still loved the game though, the repeated battles were not enough to irk me that bad, tho it seems i have yet to get an S rating on any mission lol, and one of the achievements is to get S in all missions on each difficulty >.>

Dam right this game is good! (playing the demo, I'll buy the game as soon as it arrives in PR). This game is supposed to be here today...

Am I the only one that really liked 2??

The thing i dug about that game was really seeing how many chains i could get before either getting killed or reaching the boss... thought that was lacking from the first one cus they didnt throw enuf enemies at you to really see how far you could take it.
