Need i say it, I am in love with this game.
It just sings the tune of BAD ASS through and through.
From the opening scenes of the game you just know your in for something awesome.
you play as Nero, a cocky guy with a demon arm, who is in love with the sister of a major religious war groups general. The hell gates start opening and demons begin pouring in from everywhere.
And the battle scenes are just top notch. And the music that accompanies you in battle, makes it that much more awesome. Its usually the same song but you will not get annoyed with it like blue dragons annoying battle song.
The vocals are mellowed down and the music slightly drowns them out so most of the time you wont even be paying attention to the vocals and just kickin ass to some battle ready rock.
i havent played a DMC game since DMC1, so i wasnt sure what to expect and started the game off on human mode, demon hunter is for more experienced DMC players.
The graphics are beautiful and everything i would expect from a next gen game. The character models are very detailed and smoothed out, and hell can i complain when some chicks naked ass gets a close up on my 42" HDTV in a battle scene...no...i cant say i can.
They are even nice enough to drop it into slow mo for you.
The puzzles so far are fairly easy, im sure as i progress they will become a bitch. Lots of hidden stuff and secret missions to find, and once you get ahold of a certain corpse after the toad demon boss battle, your demon arm will light up the closer you are to hidden treasures and missions.
There are so many combos to learn and mix in with all your weapons, and they just keep getting better as your progress and add new powers to your arsenal.
Your sword, the red queen, has a motorcycle handle attatched, so you can rev it up for more damage, you can rev it up in your down time and store the power for your next swing as well.
The gun is pretty ineffective at the moment and weak, and barley adds anything to your style meter, im hoping it gets more powerful later as the current charge feature i have on it makes me slow down my groove to charge it up.
the demons you face do change up frequently and are not just the same models over and over.
everytime you buy a new skill or ability, the cost of all the others goes up.
Your demon arm as the power to grab and slam or throw enemies adding much more fun to the battle combos.
Everything is fluid and smooth, and very enjoyable.
The story is enticing and keeps me wondering whats next, and what the hell is going on.
The characters personalities are spot on to each of them, and the voice acting is perfect.
You meet Dante early on in the game in an all out battle which is mostly a tutorial for learning your moves and combos.
As Nero you are on the hunt to track down Dante.
Im only on mission 8 and have done about 5 secret missions but i gotta say i love this game, everything about it just keeps me playing and i dont want to put it down.
I say, Run, dont walk, buy dont rent, GO GET THIS FUCKIN GAME!!!
The achievements are mostly secret ones, but what ive unlocked is hitting stylish, smokin style on my style meter, kill 100 enemies, collect 10,000 red orbs, and completing so many missions on your set difficulty.
oh and guys...big pixelated boobs.
That is all.
