Diablo III

yeah, it most likely is a Diablo 3... Considering it was one of their two huge franchises. But it wasnt an MMO previously, which is why it was free. One player created the game, and once he/she did he became the host, and people would connect to him. Bllizzard didnt need to keep servers up and under check.

If diablo turns MMO, I expect to see a $15/mo. subscription which may or may not irritate a lot of fans considering diablo's tradition of running games from p2p hosting.
 
well, it was a MMORPG kind of. Or at least a Multiplayer Online RPG, in that no more then (8?) people could be in a game at once. It were rather massive, though.
 
Community wise it was Big, and alot of people still play it....The game limited 8 people to a game i think simply to still leave some difficulty in the game, although everytime a member joined a game it did say "Diablos Minions have grown stronger"
 
Man, I just wonder how the game would be. I liked Hellgate London but it wasn't as good as Diablo series imo. And if Diablo III was like that.. I dunno. I also do hope Blizzard DOESN'T do what Flagship Studio did and paying to play online for beyond normal mode. Also, I hope the spells are more different from class to class. That's what really pissed me off after playing Hellgate London more. The abilities you could learn were fairly lame and a lot of classes had the SAME EXACT ABILITY! Pissed me right off.

That's what we call "balance"! (Not really, but that's exactly what they'd say about the matter.
 
a few things they should keep in Diablo 3:

Point and click interface.

Same birds-eye view

Same inventory interface

Free to play.


These are just my opinions, but at LEAST the first three need to be kept... They are what makes diablo, diablo... Even though Blizzard severely changed warcraft to turn it into an MMO, I think I may shed tears if the same happens with Diablo... Unless they can reproduce the same feel... Which I am not too positive about.
 
Also the abilities given in Diablo 2 were pretty awesome as it varied from class to class...and the skills your character has is up to you blah blah blah.
 
I dont see how there could be a diablo 3, all the brothers are dead and andariel and lillith are dead so theres really no one to bring them back, also u broke all there soul stones

Diablo III already came out. Now.. what was it they called it.. oh yeah, Hellgate London. :D

Ele you know i'll go completely insane if they make a diablo 3 because im already going insane from the hype of starcraft 2... D3 will destroy my WoW addiction though so yeah please come D3:D

And hell gate london is not diablo 3, two completley different companies, YES they have some of the original designers and such but i think D3 would destroy hellgate london

hehe, it was amusing :P I like Hellgate London, the story's cool enough. But I just got so pissed at the classes having THE SAME EXACT ABILITIES!! >< and not being able to play Nightmare and Hell mode without being online and paying :( and not being able to go to level 99... AND WHERE'S MY COW LEVEL! D: :P I actually still haven't beaten it. So many other games keep coming around I wanna play more :P
