Did the hippie get what he deserved?

Tasered, no. Arrested, much more deserved.

I don't think anyone deserves to be tased, especially after the death of a man at a BC airport who was tased to death by a Mountie.

I don't think the knee to the back was necessary, either... =/

he got everything he deserved. when a police officer is enforcing the law, and not going all apeshit cop crazy on you, and you dont do what is asked of you, you better expect to get tazed and much worse.

The police attempted to be reasonable with him, he refused to comply. The police then moved to a reasonable attempt to compel him, and he struggled. Then, from what it looked like to me, he attempted to escape. At which point he got tased.

I think we've discussed this before, when it comes to people who are physically resisting arrest, many police officers are trained to tase at that point, rather than risk substantial physical injury on the part of both the arresting officers and the perpetrator. It's generally safer to tase someone than to physically subdue them, and/or drag around a noncompliant perpetrator.

Short answer: Yes.

The cops were 100% right on this. They gave the guy every chance possible to get dressed and go back to having fun.

The wizard guy put his hands on the cop, and even then the cops were extremely lenient and still gave the guy yet another dozen chances to behave and put his clothes back on.

The wizard guy still acted belligerent which is when they went to arrest him. He resisted and for their safety and his they appropriately used the tazer on him.

Now, I don't know if the use of the tazer was a good idea. That idiot may have been hopped on drugs which could've led to a heart attack or something.

But all in all, the cops here showed remarkable restraint.

They gave him a chance, they asked him multiple times. Then he was resisting them, they did what they had to do. I think it was deserved. Don't want to get tased? Don't be a dumb ass, and do things like that. Drives me crazy everyone runs to the cops when they need them, but when they do thier jobs suddenly they're the 'bad guys'.

The crowd didn't seem to mind. He wasn't hurting anyone. Just an example of a bad law if you ask me.

Would a woman have gotten the same treatment, or would she have just been aloud to go naked.

Maybe that's why I like bonnaroo. No cops aloud inside.

Wow. His dick is like... super small...

If you're gonna run around in the public naked, you should at least have a decent package, right DW? :o

I'm not saying this guy didn't deserve to have any kind of restraint or anything - its just tasering is too risky lately. Multiple taser shocks can cause death, and it can affect you if you have a heart condition, pace maker - these things that a cop would not know about you before he pulls out a taser.

It was mainly because they KEPT taz'ing him.

Maybe I have shaking camera syndrome, but didn't the hippie get a couple taz'ings?

Well you should or you're gonna get ripped on by me anyway. "Hai, I'm a hippy with a tiny dick har har look at me aren't I creative"

He was shot in the back with 3 probes, then twice in the shoulder, then once behind the neck. I'd say her was tasered a number of times. Yeah it's WAY too risky. Personally rubber bullets would be better or just physically subdue him, the reason I believe they had more difficulty physically subduing him is because those men have NOT had to under go appropriate physical training themselves which is very apparent.

Yeah he resisted them, but like Trippy said the crowd didn't mind. They were more disgusted with how he was treated by the officers.

I agree that they needed to have him dressed. It is the law, someone obviously called in the police, meaning it bothered someone. That's why there are areas for nudists.

Unfortunately police are given these terrible devices now to help take someone down. As you can see from the video one shock may not be enough, but is it then okay to risk forcing a man or woman into cardiac arrest because you yourself aren't up to par with training to physically subdue people? I think not.

I've dealt with cops before and was arrested for bogus reasons, they're bored around here. I'm certainly not about to resist any officer, if they're bringing me in, illegitimate reasoning or not I'm not going to fight them, that didn't stop 2 from jumping me from behind unaware.

These officers in this video, I don't know where they're from but MY GOD you'd never catch cops around here that are in that poor of condition let me tell you.

... yea couldn't help but notice >.>

But hey.. he fits someone perfectly! And that's all that matters young one.

O.O this video scarred me for life and im not talking about the tazering, the tazering made me laugh...

For once i believe that the force used was actually justifiable. He was breaking a law... i don't think anyone was arguing this point. He was asked nicely repeatedly to discontinue such act. When he refused he was physically restrained... which he resisted and then he appeared to try and run away when he was tazed for the first time.

To me it looks like a nudist with a chip on his shoulder (or drugs in his system more likely) and the police did the best they could to resolve the situation. GJ cops... for once.

The fact that i may disagree with the law on nudity is a different subject but if that was the point the guy was trying to make he did it in a very incorrect manner.

He got exactly what he deserved. If you resist arrest and act like a fucktard you deserve it.

I think the cops did the right thing, ive definitly heard storys of police injustice perticularly in US, but this time he deserved it. Maybe not so many tasers though...
