I noticed that there aren't alot of MGS fans out there in the FFXI world from what I've seen, but now I'm gonna ask the peeps of qcdn to vote if they like them or not ^^.

Uh, hell fucking yea I love the MGS games.

Infact, my favorite game of all time is, dun dun dun, Metal Gear Solid. Beautiful story. Involving characters. Realistic stuff. It all made for a wonderful game. I felt horrible when Sniper Wolf died...Heck, I even felt bad when Mantis died. Although I will note it was pretty gay when Otacon like, grabbed Snakes hips if you get the Non-Meryl ending on MGS.

I've had wetdreams about MGS4: GotP. 'Nuff said.
 
Dude MGS rules. I've played and beaten all the games. I like the story line in MGS 3 but i still dont understand why you have to fight Big Boss in MG


EDIT: I can't wait for MGS4, I remember something about it being a FPS. That will Change the dinamics of the game but i'm still curious about it.

lol. Yeah, the trailer was amazing. No game touches that in terms of graphics I tell ya :p

I was a big fan of the first Metal Gear Solid game. Played it over and over again and even my co-workers played it.

The second Metal Gear Solid game, I did not care for much. I just never got into it like I did with the first one.

The third, I never played. Might pick it up in the future but I don't play console games much anymore. I keep trying too finish Zelda, Windwaker but when I walk away I hardly come back.

I dunno, I might buy the fourth one.
 
The 3rd one is Funny with the little easter eggs they put in. I.e After snake gets his eye shot out and you meet up with whats her name, in the cave under the waterfall, and left the tracker in your chest you get a pretty funny c/s
 
Never played them..not interested. But my brother plays it and I love watching him! Lol. I like..yell at him if he stops playing

"NO! PLAY MORE I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!!"

They have excellent stories :D
 
MGS3 has quite possibly the best story line of any game i've ever played, expecially if you've played 1 and 2

You played Deus Ex? I'd rate MGS as second best story after Deus Ex.
 
MGS4 is one of the main reasons I'm gonna be buying a ps3, since Kojima himself said it was a ps3 exclusive, and if it's a launch title(doubtful for an MGS game but meh) i'll buy it a ps3 at launch as well.
 
Still have yet to take the time to play MGS3, had it since release ^^;

I still love the original Metal Gear though, that was one heck of a challenge without the map and no FAQ's/guides to help along.
 
Anyone play the old Metal Gear? For NES or Genesis, forget which it was on I just remember its in my ROM list on my xbox.

NES, I'm known to dust it off and try running through it from memory here and there.

The original on the NES was awesome. I used to play it all the time and freak friends out because so many of the old Nintendo games had timed levels, so they'd constantly scream, "You're going to run out of time!"

But I'll go with option #2. Sam Fisher > Solid Snake and his emo life partner, Otacon. At least in the Otacon/Snake pairing you can tell who's the butch and who's the bitch.
 
I've only played MGS, MGS2 and MGS3 Snake Eater, never played the first one.

I've gotta say, out of all of them, MGS for the PSX remains my favourite. MG3 is a close second though, and although still a decent game, MGS2 kinda sucked.

Although the lyrics were corny, I really dug the intro to the MGS3 Snake Eater story. Soooo James Bondish though, and that doesn't really suit Snake so well.


Killing the old man in the forest on hard mode sucks ass.
