Don't touch my junk bro.

the local Amtrak station recorded a record year in sales this year, and this is expected to increase. so the TSA sort of did Amtrak a favor

how right you are. i wonder if there is any getting around this at all. or have we dug yet another hole we can't get out of?

I wish I could ride a train, but there's no stations around my city.
Makes me sad.

We had to go through extensive checks when we went on vacation to the US in 2008 because we had been to Egypt in 2007.

When your flight gets blown up let me know k ;) oh wait, you wont be able to, you'll be dead. People complain up and down when someone manages to sneak something onto a flight, yet cry foul when they are getting patted down? It's a give and take situation here folks. A balance must be struck in this case, but how?

Edit: Lets face it, these terrorists get more and more creative the stricter our security measures get. How long before they start shoving explosives into certain "areas" and we are required to submit to occasional cavity searches? Would you be willing to submit to one in the name of safely flying on a plane?

How many of those terrorists have been going through American airports since 9/11? None. They've been coming through Europe.

Also the likelihood of a terrorist being on a plane is slim to none. You're more like to get a sky marshal on your flight than you are to witness an act of terrorism.

Also these searches are random. The TSA claims they do the same searches on everyone, but they don't. The searches are unnecessary and are not effective. It's a waste of taxpayer money.

You're more 5x likely to die falling out of your bed than you are to die from flying. I don't see them working to improve the safety of beds. It's more likely you die going to work than in an airplane as well, actually. More people die per hour as a result of air pollution than flying. It is also more likely you'll die from being struck by lightning than in an airplane crash. More people die from getting scolded from hot tap water every year than from airplane crashes. You also run an almost twice as high risk of dying while using a right-handed product as left-handed than you do from dying in an airplane.

You also run a 3x higher risk of dying from food poisoning than from an airplane crash, or 3x higher risk of dieing falling from a ladder. About 10x more people die from drowning in their bath tub water than the amount of people that die as a result of flying. You're also 20x more likely to die fro ma train crash than you are to die from flying. You also run a 10x higher risk of dieing from a fleash eating bacteria than you are from dying.

You're 2200000x more likely to die from cancer than from an airplane attack, and you run an almost twice as high risk than that of dying from an heart attack or stroke which means that more people die as a result of eating than flying.

I'm sure there's other areas to spend said money on which would prevent more deaths every year than airplane terrorism would. The only reason they have such high security is because more people, for some reason, fear dying from an airplane crash more than they do driving to work, even though you're more likely to die in a car accident going to work than you would be flying every day for 2 years. As a result of this fear, they want to give the illusion of higher security so that they can make more money. They don't really care about your security, they just want your money.

Only the truly paranoid sleep in adult-sized cribs.

they've given up on planes and started targeting xmas tree lighting's.

Well if Christ-based faiths actually followed what Christ even said, they wouldn't have to.

edit: Just to be clear, I'm talking about him being against public displays of religious activities.

"I FEEL SO FUCKING SECURE RIGHT NOW!"

So today i flew from phoenix to Orlando and i got to go through the wonders that are the TSA.

I had an early flight so i got there about 2 hrs early expecting some reasonably heavy traffic through security. Of course since i was early i was through the TSA in less than 15 min but my experience in line was somewhat unique.

Before the ID check person there was a TSA agent going through the line telling people about the liquids and crap and a whole bunch of people were telling him they couldn't go through the porn scan for w/e reason and he pulled them out of the line and told them to go ask for a pat down. Now i was watching while queuing and didn't notice a single person going through the scanners so curiously ask why they haven't been using the scanners and the agent says, "Yea we don't turn those on til about 8".

So despite the fact that the scanners were not on (and they told me it as if it is like that every day) they were still having people request to get patted down to avoid them.

Just more proof the TSA is useless theater.

"...OPT OUT, WE GOT AN OPT OUT!"

Seriously though, is it any wonder why that happened? Think about it, if they requested to not go through the machine, on or not, then they have something to hide. Whether that's true or not isn't for me to say, but that's the logic.

It's flawed logic. Being a prude isn't the same thing as being a threat.

"TSA: The highest caliber of airport security ... some of the time"

I wonder if they tell everyone about this? Maybe they should just invite a terrorist to bomb an early flight.

Not sure if this was posted already, but this is going way too far.

If you even try to state their own rules, they'll make an example of you by humiliating you and making you miss your flight.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?!

What's she need breast milk on a plane for if she hasn't got a baby with her? Who made this video? Until I see a reputable source I call BS.

Man oh man. People sure are guilty when trying to keep their dignity, huh?

Maybe she's going home to her child, and pumped while she's away?

What makes it worse is that the TSA deleted most of the more damning footage, so it's going to be very hard for this person to seek proper compensation for this unnecessary and unwarranted harassment.
