Hate should be transferred onto the tank, not a dragoon.

hate transferred onto a drg and then the drg super jumps will give the tank full hate. THAT'S WHAT MAKES US AWESOME!!!!!111111!

best SATA partner is dragoon. hands down. end of discussion. period.......period.

Actually, this is the best way. Hate to disagree with you Tazok and Nerzul, but the best way would be to turn the mob and have the THF SATA the hate back onto the Tank. Not only is this better because the DRG won't get hit as much or most likely as hard (since SATA is usually followed by a mob TP move), but it is more easily used since it doesn't have to coenside with Jump Timers. This is why the DRG JSE at 70 has all the emnity+ on it. It helps us turn the mob so the TANK can be SATA'ed onto. Having full hate on the tank is dangerous. As a DRG and a backup tank, we need to have some hate incase things go down the shitter.

+store TP is percentage of a TP gained a hit. Basicaly Store TP+10 in gear gives 1 extra TP a hit. Store TP +20 gives 2. That is gear wise I am fairly positive everytime the job trait is "enhanced" by lvling up it is equivelant to store tp+10. I have Store TP+6 with my pants so about every second hit I gain an extra TP, 14 instead of 13.

There is a setup for samurai that gives you 20 TP a hit as a 72+ Samurai, this is a lil tricky to pull off but if you can... ^^.

and this is done how

the world will never know

Check the Alla SAM forums sometime. It is the samurai holy grail if you will. You need to have the full lvl 71 JSE (HQ helps but is NOT needed), Rajas Ring, Hogun (GK with bonus TP specaile stat, I think that is the name), Atilla earings +1 and merrit points in it. It is tricky, it is expensive as shit, but it is retardedly amazing.

Problem with it is it is ALOT of work and sometimes just does not fit the situation.

If I put a 1k+ Spinning Slash on you with a SC at the start, go ahead and superjump...once your wyvern dies you are next. I've seen it before and I've died by it before...

I have to be very carefull with this. It can kill myself and mpk others...xD

Do you now understand, why this much hate should be stacked onto a tank type job? :P

Turn the mob please so I can place hate properly on a tank. kthxbai.

transfering hate is a drg's role in a party (in fact, it's what we, as well as thfs do best) besides dealing an assload of damage. if you SATA spinning slash onto me and i super jump, i've got nothing to worry about. i can even turn the mob back to the tank with high jump occasionally. i never said, 'hey! you can't put hate on a tank over a drg! that's stupid!' i said, if you had read my post, that drgs are the best choice for SATA partners

edited for typos. typing skillz mynus 1 gajillion

Sam is better. I think so (even though I am a sam and love the job), but I do know how the difference is. And as for tp, I was in a pt in Kuftal Tunnel with a good pt there before. Pld/War, 2 Rng/Nin, Sam/War (me), Whm/Blm, Rdm/Blm. I out tpped both Rngs in a race and had over 100 tp in less than 10 secs into the battle or so. If you want anymore proof, ask Wagnus. He was the Pld in our pt back then. And Sam can be a good DD for SATA because of the fact that their ws ignores def (I believe). It all depends on how much tp you have really.

I say screw the thf, take the Samurai and the Dragoon.

Thf is only good after 30, and best with a ninja tank.

It's my least favorite Damage Dealer to party with.

how much TP you get back is based solely on the delay of the weapon. More delay less Store TP bonus you need to raise the total amount gained

I really wouldn't care who i party with as long as they do their job. I love SAM and DRG. DRG have good DoT with their wyvern. Only job that can have their 2hr on all the time and have 1 in reserve. If they can afford the scorp harness (if you can, you're number 1 in my book since it's the only piece of body armor you can 'buy' that gives you good acc) or get an assault jerkin, a DRG/WAR with double attack will be gaining tp fast. DRG is a master at opening distortion just like RNG. Double Thrust to open and then Skewer when they learn that.

SAMs are good when they know how to use their TP wisely. Meditate is key because most SAM i see go sam/thf at 60 so they lose double attack so they can become '1-hit wonders' So they lose out on gaining tp super fast with double attack. Only prob I can see if a SAM/THF is partying with a THF/NIN is hate control. In other words, if you already have a nin or pld in your party and you have a thf/nin and you choose to have a sam as well. You probably won't have a BLM in your party to make use of all the SCs you're doing because you have no 'first voker.'

There's probably a way around it though. SAM and DRG both rock. But i like DRG because it's way harder to get it all the way to 75. >.>

You can almost think of it as DRG being a THF's SA/TA buddy...
and SAM being a BLM's MB buddy.

and if it is a high DMG polearm then it's delay is huge.
Average delay on GK ~ 450, correct me if I'm wrong,
Average delay on Lances ~ 492.

huge? O.o

One of the best attributes a Drg has going for it is the D/mg/delay ratio of the lance, and if you check out GK vs Lance dmg, no not spears like you were refering too, lances, then you'll see that lances have much higher dmg ratings
