Let's see, I remember you getting booted at about level 62. Assault jerkin at 62? Please dont lie and waste people's time, do us all a favor and go away if you are going to makes these types of claims because you didnt have any acc things on at the time. Please note the level on Jerkin ->

So if you're gonna leave your two cents and not even be on topic, marael at least was not a waste of a PT slot with good armor as a drg, where you yourself just admitted to not having key equips at a certain point (at least 5 levels in the 60's where it would counted most in a PT). Not that any of us would find this surprising. :roll:

Is it just me or it is hard to believe someone would say this to a total stranger who had not had any prior argument with him:

But you can't wear the assault jerkin until 67, so how does it excuse you from getting decent gear all those levels up unto it? Having it off Ose is nice but what does it matter if you can't even wear it? It's kind of like me saying... "I've got this kickass level 50 Great Axe so I'm not going to bother upgrading my axe's level 40-50.

Sheesh, for this attitude you seem to forget you're NOT a mage. Once you hit 67 you can sell your old gear and get your money back. Mages can't sell back their old scrolls.

Too bad hauby is tons better for War,Drk, and Sam

Only drg and thf are going to be able to equip the jerkin and not be considered gimp due to the fact we can't equip hauby. Stop making excuses and just admit you've been too lazy to farm 2 mil gil over "10" levels of xping. You're too busy powerleveling to do any actual work. I also hear you use dex+3 rings and not snipers? You're required equipment is 27 levels behind in 2 slots, get with it. What's worse than you not having hauby by 67 is the excuses you make.

On topic: I love playing the Drk job but I feel players like the one in the story give it a very bad name, given this story was 100% accurate. This is why I hate many drks pre 60, most of the drks to make it past 60 have been alot cooler. This drk probably feels monks are gimp too...Having an apperiation for every job and deeper than basic knowledge of them is very helpful to all parties.
 
sounds like a typical newb who thinks that just because they don't hit for big numbers in one hit that the job is worthless. The higher level people, and the poeple leveling second jobs are usually smarter about that kind of stuff. That's why I know a drk who stopped drk so he could be a monk just because he saw monks doing more damage than him 70+.

I used to think the same thing before I started playing it and saw firsthand what DRGs are capable of withthe right gear. But COME ON PEOPLE! Once they see me in action usually they lose that mentality, at least for a while.

Dragoons are ok until the mid 40's then compaired to other DD jobs you lack horribly.. No gear can fix this DRG just are the bottom feeders of the DMG dealing pool. As for what the PT members did that was wrong.. As most others I'm wondering why you don't reply to you Argus thread?

DRGs are just as good even better at the lower lvls Mar.

I think ppl say drgs suck because they hear it from other ppl, prapoganda speads fast. :?

Now you said your in Crawlers Nest.
DRG might be good at those lvls, but once you reach the 60+ (65) lvls, DRGs become to suck ass...

Its the fact that their WSs are so weak =\. And Polearm class becomes pretty much useless :\ comparing DMG to a drk or rng.

Ive had the pleasure of PTing with few drgs that kicked asss, heh but the rest i PTed with on my PLD weren't worth my time.

Late WSs such as wheeling thrust and Impulse Drive are amazingly weak. Even my 74 DRG friend tells me it is used only to start light.
