REC is dubbed, however the other 2 animes are not dubbed and currently no plans to license them.

ahh ic i didnt know REC was dubbed thanks for finding them. where did u find out that information

dubbing always has poorly chosen voice actors.

Naruto for example sounds like a chain smoking elderly woman.

BELIEVE IT.

I lost faith in dubs after evangelion, and they have yet to restore my faith... I suppose Inuyasha and Trinity Blood were some of the better of the lot. It still seems largely hit and miss; and why do Eureka and Hinata sound alike? Does that not seem just a LITTLE wrong?

I h8te dubbed anime!!!!111!!!!1!!!!!11!11!ONE

Eureka and Hinata sound the same in the english dub because they're both played by Stephanie Sheh.

Anyway, my opinon is that dubbing anime is necessary in some cases. It is often much easier to enjoy more thought-provoking animes when you don't have to spent your time reading the screen. I like both dub and subtitled animes but I pretty much stay with one once I've started a series.

Animes like Eva, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and FLCL really had quite nice dubs, and there are really talented english voice actors out there if you'd take the time to follow their work. Take Johnny Young Bosch, he plays Ichigo in Bleach, but almost a completely different voice for Renton in Eureka 7. Then who could forget Steven Blum/David Lucas who played Spike in Cowboy Bebop, Onizuka in GTO; though his voice doesn't change as much from character to character, every performance I've heard him do (aside from those horrible Toonami ads) has been absolutely amazing.

There are exceptions like Naruto or DBZ where they completely butchered the casting of certain animes (mainly funamation's fault), but the english dubs of animes have gotten much much better and I usually prefer them to watching an anime subbed.

Indeed lol. Naruto sounds awful, as well as Shino lol. But some of the anime's I've seen have been dubbed quite well, like Rahxephon for example, or Ghost Stories (I read it's much more fun in English than in Japanese). ADV Films usually does a good job with the dubs (at least in the few ones I've seen).

Good dubs in Eva.... that's a funny joke.

And as for BLEACH, no, I can't stand Ichigo's English voice. Or Ganzu's or w/e his name was for that matter either.

I have no idea what you guys are smoking, the dubs for Bleach and Naruto have great voice work on them. Naruto in no way sounds like a chain-smoking elderly woman(his voice isn't raspy or tired at all, might want to clean your ears), he sounds a little girly, because he's voiced by a woman; but he's also supposed to be 12ish, which is before most boys' voice deepens so it's logical. Hinata sounds very submissive, because she is. The only problem with Naruto is that they mispronounce some words(it's geNIN, not geNEEN); but the voices have been great. They've been winning awards for their voice work in bleach and naruto; I doubt they're getting those without earning them.

Ichigo's voice should be deeper, but the voice work is still excellent. Voice acting has improved tremendously over the last few years; now that there's a large enough audience for the companies to warrant bringing in talented people and give a damn about pleasing the fans. Hell, you guys come off as the impossible to please fans who are just looking for anything to bitch about, no matter how insignificant or inaccurate.

I just don't like their voices, period. Never even mentioned anything about misspellings or whatever, I just don't like it. I never said they're all bad, but to me one bad voice can ruin it for me. Especially when that one bad voice is on for no less than half the episode.

I'm not saying the dub in general is bad, I just don't like Naruto's or Shino's voice (especially Shino's, he sounds really creepy lol, unlike in Japanese). Kakashi for example sounds cool, and I think Sakura is funny, her inner-Sakura sounds hilarious. I have to agree about Hinata's voice, it suits her perfectly. I can't say much about Bleach, I haven't seen many episodes.

The voice does suit her, I'll admit, but it's still eerie. Compound that with their similarities and I wind up feeling slightly creeped out. It's a conspiracy I tell you!
