Dumb people in Campaign Battle

I go PLD/WHM and reraise myself, I dont wait on the ground dependant on a random raise given out sometimes in Campaign you can get KO'd in the worst places away from everyone. I just wish characters had a 'already had raise cast on me' sign so I dont waste mp slapping a fresh one on a afk stiff.

With the speed of attacks and the ability to counter, /nin is very tough to get away with if you're trying to tank.

My normal setup is blink / SS / Veil to start with full shield block setup (with the exception of parade gorget). For magic enemies using the new IRgear x2 drastically reduces magical dmg taken.

When in trouble, both a hate solidifier and a huge cure can be had with DS Cure IV (these also help if you're not tanking and want to raise an npc's hp 1%).

But the biggest advantage is a free RR. Shit happens quite often in campaign, and being able to RR makes things much less stressful.

I often duo with Neisan, and with his refresh I'm getting 6mp/tick...add to that Chivalry restoring 450mp...and rarely do I not have enough mp to keep things up.

Also, one of the benefits of pld/nin is the ability to use flash for :ichi recasts, but in campaign flash only lasts for a second.

Elemental resist...its weak though, only 5. But its 5 you didn't have before! The MDB, HP, and enmity make the bonus just that, a bonus.

Real men go PLD/MNK for counter attacks, and Boost before a Spirits within for massive damage.

I love even more when I have 2 mobs slept, fighting one and a lone whm decides to wake one up and melee it to death but can't get hate....

OR when I try to be nice and cure someone and am told to stop. That's always nice too.

I've noticed that if people see you actually tanking, they cure you and raise you. Go figure.

Bag o' Dicks is strange; he fixates on a target and it's tough to pull him off. Nevertheless, if a tank had pulled him off of you, I'm gonna assume you'd think kindly toward him/her and be more inclined to heal/raise him or her in the future.

while we're on this subject.
What is the problem with raising a person DURING campaign?
Half the time when I die i just get left there while the whm walks up to me, stops, moves on then comes back randomly IF they come back after the battle is over.
I mean at least if they left me it shows indifference but leaving me and then raising me after it's too late to get points is just WTF.

Might not have MP, might not have recast up, might be in a party with a friend they had to run off to take care of. There *do* exist a variety of reasons why someone might intend to raise someone but not follow through with it.

Yeah that happened to me a lot. I see someone that I want to raise and when I click on the spell I realise that I don't have enough MP. I can't rest right there so I have to run off somewhere else to rest MP. Recast is nasty too.

To be honest, I wouldn't be able to tell who pulled him off me if anyone did. Must have been like 10 people whacking on him and he still came at me from all the way around the tower in Vunkerl Islet.

If I see you with low HP, I'll cure you. Unless I'm running from hate that is.

Usually if I encounter three AFK dead people in a row who have reraise/got a raise and are still dead, I'm less inclined to raise anyone.
This goes for Besieged too. Why do you do this?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. The first time I read your post I actually read something along those lines and I had to reread it again to assure myself that's not what it actually said lol.

All of this talk about bags of dicks and what not must have made me frisky.

here's one

How about when you try to pull something that you should keep away from such as Jagbombs warmachine to a small bataillion of npcs BUT you have that person that keeps it from happening?

Talking batailla downs, I decided to kite the nm away from the pc populus fighting and dying and get him near him into the npc area which was mostly cammed with ironclad nutshells mulling around.

/endtangent

Also, it's fun to run into an area with gigas and orc blms tearing down forts and pull one and as you kite you run into a graveyard of dead corpses...

Khi>> What happened?
Friend>> Some pld tried to pull them.

Could be any number of reasons sometimes lag is so bad it looks like people ar just standing around looking at you. They may have seen someone else casting on you, or some nasty NM was bearing down upon them.

All I can suggest to avoid this is bring your own rr item dont depend on mages all the time to be handy, or sub whm and reraise yourself, cut out the middle man lol.
