E3 2010 June 14-17

Metal Gear Solid and Professor Layton on the 3DS already sells me on it, as well as whatever Square-Enix brings out, and fricking Kid Icarus.

Hopefully it can play regular DS titles (which it should), but I'm getting one day 1.

And yeah, the models chained to the 3DS's was funny.

There was a glimpse of a KH title with SquareEnix name, but I couldn't make out what it said other than Kingdom Hearts.

Now that was an E3 presentation.

New Zelda, Mario series game, DK, Goldeneye, Golden Sun, Kid Icarus, Epic Mickey, Kirby, DQIX, Metroid, plus the amount of developer support the 3DS has for its future?

Well played, Nintendo. That made up for last year and then more. Good to see that they went back to their roots and focused on the games, not gimmicky accessories like "vitality sensors".

That was very good. Sony has a lot to live up to. Though I doubt anything will top what Nintendo had to show. I'm sure it won't take much to beat Microsoft's though.

I want to hear showroom reports on Zelda, since the conference demo was well, weak.
Likely was the interference, hopefully the controls come back glowing from people playing it.

And even then, they've got a while to tighten up the controls before next years release date.

Meh. Like I said, much like the MS conference, I am underwhelmed. Admittedly, in this case part of the reason I'm underwhelmed is because like most people I've known about the 3DS for months, but still. Another parade of rehashed titles featuring aging icons doing pretty much the exact same thing they've been doing for the past decade. Woohoo.

Sometimes I wonder how well people would respond to Nintendo's games if they started numbering the releases. Like, instead of Zelda Skyward Sword, it was Zelda XVI. ZELDA SIXTEEN. SIXTEEN ITERATIONS OF THE SAME BASIC CONCEPT. Seriously. People crap all over Square-Enix for the Final Fantasy series, but at least 90% of those feature different characters from game to game.

The 3DS has potential though. Hopefully it gets some decent 3rd party games.

Was KH DS or KH Demo or something, also under that was FF (remakes of FFV and VI?! please), and something under the FF, couldn't read it.

I really wish Zelda would go multiplatform. Most of you probably won't agree with that. However, I hate the Wii. I hate using motion controls. I couldn't stand Twilight Princess because of it and would rather play Zelda strictly on the DS since I still love the series. Skyward Sword doesn't even look that great but perhaps its because of the weak demo conference. They did nothing new for this game, imo.

I understand what your saying. You want something fresh, a fresh a genre.

Sorcery on the move, sorcery on the move, sorcery on the move.

Heroes on the Move, hot.
Jak, Daxter, Ratchet, Clank, Sly and Bentley, awesome.

Hmm, I wish I wasn't working during Nintendo's presentation >< need to go find a stream of it.

SICK! Playstation Home has a replica of the Sony E3 floor! Going on that tonight.

Well snap, Valve ACTUALLY doing something for the PS3 themselves? :P

WTF!? That's all they showed for FFXIV? Bull shit. I have to wait for it on the floor.

Edit: To be fair, I understand they're crunched on time. There better a large amount of info at the booths.
