Editing .dat Files

i have a question, what program and where can i9 DL it to modifly .dat files (like change color of a certian item ect...)

on that weapons page , can someone help me change a weapon , for example a wakizashi into the sword 2nd from the bottom on that weapons page

Download the .DAT file from that website for the sword. Open ffxi model viewer. Find the sword you want to replace. Remember which one it is. Put it in a backup folder. Replace it with your downloaded copy.
