So I am just about to log on, and it says i need to download 5 new files...anyone else get this?

I somewhat recently got windows media center and now I'm using the xbox360 as an extender to play videos off of my computer. .wmv files work great but I have .avi files that I'm trying to convert to .wmv files so that the media center will regonize it but im having trouble figuring out how to do...

Any possible way to fix fragmented files without deleting them? I can burn them to CD's, but thats gonna take a while, so if theres any alternate way, Id prefer that. Theyre movie files, and only movie files. 3,500 MB of them.

Is there anyone who can teach me or show me a program that can read DAT files, I dont want image files for NPC's or PC's. I want to learn how to deep read that stuff, I'm interested in it, and it seems like there is alot of people on here who kno how. Please help if you can! Thanx

Would anyone happen to know anything about which files are the in-game maps, and how to edit them (i.e. replace them with ffxi-atlas.com maps)? I've been thinking about doing this for awhile (I know I read somewhere that it can be done).

I can't believe it. I got warped to windurst, no biggie, and the game crashed. I can log on with my mules, but not with my main. I tested logging on another comp with my main and it worked. This means that something in my installation is now corrupt....thanks a lot toro!

does this mean i have to reinstall FFXI?
