End-Game Item E-Peen Rating!

betting bodies drop from odin's chamber and i'm 3/9 on feathers -.-

I know it's a great body for all mentioned jobs. I know it comes with Magic Atk. Bonus+5 and INT+8 But to fully make use of it ("Magic Atk. Bonus") you have to own the whole set. That's why I didn't give it a perfect score. ^^

I tought Dalmatica was easier to get than Morrigan's, but after Phraust's input I take back that assumption. But after all, I have yet to see one Morrigan's. ; ;

Eh I still think getting Morrigans body is harder then getting an A.Body to drop. Even though you can theoretically go to Salvage whenever you want, you really can't. First off to do Salvage you need assault points which in itself takes time. Then you need a group of people to able to kill the Boss in Bhaflau and hope you get the level 25 drop. Next, you need to get a drop off a Qiqrin that at best is a 3% drop rate. Finally, you need 24 Khroma Ores which aren't cheap nor easy to get.

In the end the 24 ores cost the same in price, although that is starting to vary with the price of ore rising, when compared to a Cursed Dalm. However, the demand for ores is high and the supply of ores very low. The materials needed for a Cursed Dalm to made are easily accessable or you could just buy a made one already.

Granted if you aren't in an HNM shell obviously getting Morrigan would be easier, but if you are then I'd say Dalm is much easier.

Duelist's Chapeau (9) - Such an awesome piece and it's not an easy drop, but considering how many of them are around these days (everyone and their mother can get into Xarc now), only a 9.

Ebisu Fishing Rod (1) - Sorry fishers, I know this is nigh-impossible to get, but it's not something I'd think of as an END-GAME e-peen item. You're not going to become more effective at your job with this baby, you're just going to look cool to the small percentage of people who understand fishing.

Homam Gambieras (7) - Meh, enough people do Limbus by now, it's just luck based on whether your piece drops or not.

Homam Manopolas (7) - Same as the Gambieras.

Morrigan's Robe (10) - The best body piece in the game for all three jobs that can use it by far, and definitely harder to get than Dalmatica considering the shit drop rates on everything involved. This thing made me reconsider quitting the week it came out.

Nashira Manteel (4) - Maybe I'm forgetting something about this, but as much as I love my Drains, I can't put it higher than 4.

Nashira Seraweels (7) - I believe this is the best enfeebling leg piece for RDMs?

Usukane Sune-Ate (10) - Hard to get like the Morrigan's Robe, and insanely useful.

Valor Surcoat (8 ) - Same reasoning as the Chapeau, but this one just isn't quite as game breakingly good, imo.

Vampiric Claws (4) - Some uses, but nowhere near as impressive as some other items on the list.

Vampiric Claws (0) - What the hell, I thought this was end game e-peen >_> There's not much e-peen in something that'll probably get replaced in a few levels.

Just to note Ajs, Vampiric Claws are meant for various endgame situations. They are the only weapon available for MNK that does slashing damage. Situational, but it's those situations that could either render MNK useless, or useful.

oh hey, that makes sense. Guess I'll change that to a 4. Thanks for info

Just because you need the entire set to make use of the additional +5 or +8 magic attack bonus, doesn't make it less great. The body in itself is better then pretty much all other body pieces for RDM, BLM and BLU. The set bonus just makes it better.

And yes, it is a better TPing piece then Homam body as well, on pretty much everything except for Mamools and dragons. And you can't say one is easier to get then the other. You can get Morrigan Body in 4 days if you're lucky. But then again, you can get Dalmatica in 1 day if you're lucky, too. It can also take over 2 years to get a Morrigan body, and the very same applies to Dalmatica. Both are highly luck based. One because you need to claim the NM and get it to drop, the other because of the horrible drop rate.

wave 3

Duelist's Chapeau (6) not very rare anymore but really good
Ebisu Fishing Rod (5) very very rare but a fishing pole

Nashira Manteel (1) junk
Nashira Seraweels (3) most rdm's I've met have it, nice piece though
Usukane Sune-Ate (8 ) very good, very rare
Valor Surcoat (5) not very rare, pretty good
Vampiric Claws (0) if I wanted slashing I'd grab one of the million wars I know

I find it wierd that you rate Homam over Nashira Seraweels. Ultima fights are much harder than Omega, the chips needed come from harder zones (Temenos vs. Apollyon), you need 6 chips versus (vs. the four needed for Omega) and Omega's pods can drop chips to redo Omega again (not sure if you can do it for Ultima, but if you could, Omega is a lot easier so you have more time and opportunity to do so). Although, I think your rating has a lot more to do with the fact that all jobs, BLU/THF/DRK/DRG/PLD can make great use out of Homam while nashira is mostly situational for a few jobs that can use.

How so? it beats out any body for rdm and blm, and arguably blu.

bzzztz. wrong. it only beats dalm for RDM if you want to be a meleeRDM. however for BLM and BLU, its definitely tons better.

preferably, if you have both dalm and morrigans, you could wear dalm, use the mp with buffs, then put on morrigans for nuking on BLM or melee on BLU.

Why do you mention MP and not the fucking -50 HP from dalmatica ? I use AF+1 body for max MP, which give MP+34 and no -HP and it's only 16 mp less than dalmatica.

-50hp only matters if you are taru really. the magic defense bonus is pretty nice too. i have af+1 body too, but macro it in for enfeebling only.

Unless you're a taru, you're not going to really care about the HP loss. Plus, dalmatica has refresh effect, so comparing it to anything that doesn't have refresh is a waste of time; as dalmatica could have -50 MP and still be better than a piece with MP on it.

It does matter still. Full Zenith, an Elvaan RDM would end up with more MP then HP.

You say comparing Dalmatica to something that doesn't have Auto Refresh is a waste of time. In that case, the only things you can compare it to is Vermillion and Dalmatica.

Dalmatica in itself is useless for anything but Auto Refresh. It could, arguably, be good for convert.

Vermillion is useless for anything at 73-75

Morrigan is a useless MP piece.

Assuming you use Dalmatica for Convert, those 50 MP becomes useless after healing yourself. So in that case, you can switch to Morrigan for the rest of the fight and not suffer the HP loss. AF+1 body is only really useful for things that resist you. Errant and Homam have more +MND then Morrigan have. So for enfeebles, Errant and Mahatma is, in all honesty, slightly more useful.

No, Morrigan's Robe isn't that useful for RDM. The use in it is that it squeezes 2 pieces of gear together, thus potentially saving you some inventory space. It is a lot more useful for BLM and BLU.

If you're wearing full zenith, you're an idiot. The only remotely good pieces are hands and body, so wearing anything else is just stupid.

So you figured out the point, pat yourself on the back. Auto refresh will trump any +mp gain on the body, and if you need other stats, you macro swap the other gear on then take it off. Vermillion cloak still retains it's usefulness for just that reason: you can actually change your gear for each spell. It's obviously the least useful, but it's better than no auto-refresh at all.

This is exactly what people were telling pchan, but the logic just isn't penetrating. Since he's your friend, you explain it to him.

I've never said its that good for RDM. Sure, it is awesome for RDMes, but there's other pieces that can do the same. It doesn't give anything "unique" for RDM. It does just that for BLU, though, hence why its the arguably best TP and Savage Blade piece for BLU.

And Vermillion is, any way you look at it, 100% useless since it occupies your head slot. Which means no Auto Refresh from Duelist's Chapeau.

Holy Shit, seriously, just shut the fuck up...

So tired of the bulllshit "The sky's red. No it's not. But it could be, therefore it's Fact." arguements....

You're not going to change anyone's mind. Some people like things like Auto-Refresh, Mind, Int and magic attack bonus... Get over it. All the facts are there, let people think for themselves. All you can do is put forth the information and trust the general population aren't fucking morons and know what thier job needs. The only people that would comment to the contrairy are really stupid people that have no fucking clue and thus cannot be helped. Stop worrying about being right, if you are, you are, and the other thousand people that didnt' post will likely agree.

Try to keep this shit on topic for fuck's sake. It's a Subjective question. You don't like what someoen has to say? Fuck it! This shit's going to fade into obscurity in a month anyways.

Unless of course you're one of the 90% of red mages without a relic hat, then you're not losing anything by having a vermillion cloak on for the auto-refresh.
