{English}PT{No thanks.}

no Ive taken and am taking japanese classes, and I know Im not proficient, but it still doesnt help. Many japanese just do not like english speaking people it seems like

I've done the whole [Excuse me.][Experience points][Party][Do you need it?]<jobs in pt> <party level range>; and the whole sending them invites in romaji.

The auto-translate version got me alot farther than the romaji version. Most of the time when I did send them /tells in romaji, the response I got was this:
[I can't speak English][English][Party][No thanks.]

Yeah....so I haven't even sent invites to the JPs in a long time. I hate feeling alienated just on the basis that they can't figure out that I just spoke to them in their language just in a different form.

Lets all take a look at america for a moment:

OH WAIT!...

i dont get it...

Many people misunderstand what america really is... Its not called the united states of america for nothing.

Not pointing fingers at anyone in particular, but Im sure someone learned something

Most of the people that intend to insult the US do it by saying 'america.' They have no idea that theyre including nearly all of the western hemisphere, instead of a single country.

Like up there, "stupid american pig" lol, although I dont think that was serious, its an example.

I must be the only person who has never run into this problem.

ahhhh! gotcha

I don't like being in all jp pts because I get bored. I'm a really talkative person and when I can't talk to my pt members it's tedious. I'm sure it goes both ways. Some people just like easy communication so as long as they aren't saying (English)(Too weak.) or something racist then I don't really care if they don't want to pt with me. The only thing that annoys me is when I invite a JP and they just don't reply at all. It takes .5 seconds to send a (No, thanks).

English people suck. Bow down to our Jp overlords.

being in an exp pt and no one talking is annoying..

Several times thats happened.. Ill be the only one talking at all, so I eventually just shutup and let people kill shit.. Which is boring

Ive noticed if you can get a japanese in your party, when you need to invite the next you can entice them by saying 2NA 2JP or something in the party so that way they have SOMEONE to talk to.

And just being polite can help too, but i guess its a case by case deal.

When I form parties I and want to invite a JP, I almost alway try to get 3 JP and 3 NA. That way you have someone to talk to. I also find that if you use the auto-translate function creatively and throw in bits and pieces of romaji, 6/7 JP will respond positively. There's always gonna be jerks and stuff, so what? Ignore them and move along.
