I downloaded the demo from Xbox Live and played around with it a little. This is a very pretty game. I enjoyed it a lot more than the Blue Dragon demo -- the pace feels a lot faster -- and will have to pick this one up when it comes out.

Anyone else try it?

Played the demo like a mont ago and really enjoyed it.

This is definitely better then Blue Dragon, and I love the multiplayer aspect.

Buying this.

lol Screw it- I'm getting both! XD I wonder if multi-player is Co-Op on LIVE. I wanna get my brothers this game, too.

Everytime I come here I find all this incredible news! Thx for the Eternal Sonata demo on marketplace heads up. I didn't know it had MULTIPLAYER! Gotta check it out as soon as I get home.

ps - I'm getting both RPGs too.

Wow this game is beautiful. Certainly picking this game up. Strange a month ago I was hyped about Blue Dragon and uncertain about Eternal Sonata. Now I have done a complete 180 degree change.

Was the game pausing and hitching for everyone else or is it just my system hinting at a trip to the repair shop?

Yeah I didn't realize it had a multiplayer aspect. A la Secret of Mana?
At least in battles, anyway.

This game is great! I owned everything with my main guy tank and the girl and the kid long range (shots and meteor). The boss is another story he runs fast... Does he change form in shadows? I didn't get to see it.

I didn't want to risk death so I didn't experiment too much with healing but what is the range of her "Orange Glow" healing ability? I just always ran her close to whomever needed healing and she seemed to heal whomevers health was the lowest. Is there a way to truly instruct her who to heal or is it automatically decided by the system who is most in need?

I did figure out that you can get a back attack (two free rounds of attacks) by approaching the creatures from behind. I also found some music and when I played it with a guy from town I kept gettin a F. Is there something that I am supposed to do there to increase my grade? Is it just a matter of finding the right sheet of music that meshes best with his? The only thing I kind of disliked was the world being so seemingly restricted by paths.

I downloaded Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata, and I have to say, Eternal Sonata is much better. >.> The battle system is a little funky to get used to, but the graphics are awesome. :D Can't wait to buy this.

Just downloaded the game last night. Don't know how many of you played it on High Definition, but the first thing that blew me away was the visuals. The videos don't do the game justice, seeing the character models up close left me amazed. Overall it's a very fun game, reminds me of Star Ocean 2 for some reason, I'm liking the special attack system of building up your power to unleash it. Voice actors were solid, and the menu's worked well.

Damn, and I thought I had enough games on my plate, now this game looks amazing, and it has multi-player, I'm close to being sold, just gonna wait till some reviews start popping up.

just played this tonight, i was amazed by the visuals alone. The gameplay is solid and defiantly addicting. Its almost right up there with the awesome blue dragon. 2 great rpgs finally coming!

I watched some of this on my Brother's Xbox, hooked up to a 57" Plasma HDTV... Beautiful. >_> Gotta steal it from there somehow.... Should work if I fit it under my shirt...

Well OXM gave it an 8/10, but the review was pretty solid. They said the reasons why they gave it a low score were: Average gameplay (plays like a classic RPG... Damn! >_>;; ) and the ending was 45 minutes long. Yeah. 45 minutes. Of cinematic. Eye dropping graphics all game and they complain about it.
Honestly I wasn't impressed with their reasons for it. It should have been rated higher, but it was the game of the month practically.
I haven't seen anything in Game Informer or EGM yet. I'm not a big fan of either magazine and feel that their reviews are mostly half-assed. Ah well... Still getting it here. ^_^

Just got around to downloading and playing this and I love it. Only problem now is the wait >_<!

It doesn't have MP, I was missinformed... ; ;

Show me good grades and I will buy it for you. Plus, I hope you have taken good care of the DS you got when you were here.

Well if the demo is any indication, the multiplayer is like Tales of Symphonia's, but in a turn based environment. And you can set which player controls which character.
