i xpted w/ him yesterday, seemed like a nice guy. i got d/c for a lil bit (hr or 2) and came back to find out pty was still there. i was gettin rdy to warp out when they said do i wanna pty again? y not right? they said ethar dropped from pty to do sumthing or w/e, so they ave me his spot and told me all about how he is a scammer and shit. 5 mins later he /tells me why the pty kicked him or sumthing like that, and i said i have no idea, i just got reconnected. then he started saying ur gay for taking my spot and shit, and all this other crap. i was trying to be nice, cuz i dont get pissed at any1, so i said i'll drop and give u ur spot back if ur gonna be a baby about it. then he kept sending me /tells, so i just blisted him.

Most of the party was uncomfortable with him in the pt. The leader hadnt known his reputation before inviting him. Anyway he left to get bolts or something even though a pt member (pincarl) offered to give him some, and while he was gone gation returned from his long afk. Proposed a vote on whether we wanted gation back or ethar and it was 5-0 gation. So ethar kicked. Your reputation really will follow you in this game.
 
I havn't seen Ethar on in forever, but I also dont' activly look for him either. I let him borrow 10k (foolishly, but I am nice, and at that time foolish). Added him to my friends list so I could make sure to check up on him. Well, 3 months later when I spent my limited unt of time in BoundByHonor (I only joined initially to be with friends, didn't know anything about Jordbattousai or any of the other members at that point). Found out he was in it as well, and so I confronted him. I told him that if I didn't get it back, that I was gonna take it up to Jord. He claimed that he didn't remember but gave me the 10k back anyhow... so I lucked out, but he is certainly not to be trusted.

P.S. I got out of BBH after about a month or so of seeing how they went about things.
 
you did get lucky. BBH was all about the friends anyway. i was in it for a while too. the only activity i saw was with razzeratic
 
He's currently recruting help for an O-Bow. He /tell me for help tonight and I didn't know who he was, but he was talking to me like he knew me so I accepted...I wanted to skillup staff on gobs anyway so I could get Spirit Taker....Well we never left Jeuno b/c he couldn't get a WHM or a RDM or a BLM so I told him I was gonna go. Before I left though, both Xhunter and Xgolden had joined the party, which I am pretty sure are both gilsellers because I NEVER see them with a LS pearl and I see one or the other all the time in the Sanctuary farming goobs.
 
I was in my LS and two of my friends (not gonna give out there names) were exping with someone called Ethar, so they give him a pearl. His name was ringing bells in my head for awhile, so i just thought nothing of it and moved on. After the exp party brake's he asked my friends for help camping for his O.bow, my friends said maybe.

So i log out and plan to go to bed before checkin here 1st and i see this topic about the new guy in my LS. So i read most of the posts and i log back on to tell my friends that we have total asshat in the LS. And afer reading the topic his name came back to me and i knew where ive seen him before, it was in a exp party 58-60 and he couldnt pull for shit. we where always telling not to pull due to mage's and my mp (i was pld) and he was like "Nah we will be fine". He pulls and mid way through the battle i was nearing death bcoz no one had mp so i 2 hour and zone with the party. He was the leader of the party so we all disbanded and started our own party.

Long story short, do not invite him to your LS & Partys, and if he is anything like he was when i partyed with him (which was a long time ago) he thinks he is a kick ass RNG (which he is'nt).

i must say raz did help me with my fight for my thf boots. he died once for my party, then he went afk and we fought it with him afk. i helped him with eco-war when i was like 45pld or so. hes an alright dude, i think. im nnot sure tho
 
lol 2 days ago he kept pestering me to join a exp pt on my 65rdm, kept saying no (wanted to do some fun stuff w/friends) but since none were on atm and he eventually offered 50K for me to join, i was like wth, why not FREE GILLZORZ!!one!1

he was an allright person, jus a lil vulgar an crap
 
When i started this game my first "friend"was ethar then i noticed who was my friend, and asshole, retard and a dick. I loan him 5k (That was for me a lot of money when i was still a nOOb) and yes i am Arwym's brother so u know the story. Guys put that mother fker in the blist and never let him PT with u or be in ur ls, this is the kind of ppl that i would quit to not see hes danm face again.
 
urgh Ethar, yeah I remember him, I saw him when I was doing my first ballista match. He wanted to 1 vs. 1 me we were both war/nin and he said he could pwn me without using his xbow and bolts, so I agreed to it. So we start fighting, it being my first ballista match i'm having a good ol time, so i'm starting to win and the second he gets to about 1/2 health he starts spamming these bolts left and right. so i'm thinking "wtf?" so I hit Mighty Strikes to finish off a ws kill him and from then on in the match he starts giving me these threatening /tell's saying how he's gonna kill me and mess me up so bad, then whenever he see's me now he always just stands around and /slap's me like a retard. The guy has no sense of honor at all

at least you whooped his ass. i have heard about people beating him feircely in ballista. this adds to the list of funny stories.
 
I actually had my first run in with this player last night. It was a funny encounter.

After deciding that I would go to Bastok to work on my Smithing I get a Tele-Dem. Roll through S.Gusta on my choco and take the long way around in case there was a lizzy pop.

Low and behold a Lone Leaping lizzy. Looked like she had been there quite a while as she was just running around. I have time to jump off my choco and miss my "Stun" and hit BIO II instead which takes a bit longer to pull off. Get my claim to Lizzy and Ethar runs up screaming "NOOO I NEED THAT, I WILL PAY YOU FOR THE DROP" It was to late by then though because it was a hone swing kill with my scythe.

I start getting tells saying "Fuck you, you gay ass rank4 lvl51 Drk Noob. My gear is more expensive than your's and I have more gil than you could ever hope to have, I have been waiting for 2 hours to get that pop" So after all that I reply "ok well wait another two hours and get it then".

I then start getting "schooled" in gibberish that I couldnt make out so I could tell that this guy was pissed because he wasn't even hitting the right keys. I just hit ??? and his response is "My whole LS thinks your a Fagget Which I found hilarious in both spelling and context. My response was "Well my LS is having a laugh at your expense. You are a lvl 66RNG/33THF. You have wide scan and Flee. You are pissed that you lost a claim to a Lvl 51DRK/25WAR who has none of those features and I'm the noob"?

Final words. Never met the guy before this. Don't care to run into him again but, if I do I will be content that my DRK was able to outclaim his RNG at least once and that is good enough for me.

Score DRK 1 RNG 1000. I may be behind on my claims but that RNG made it so I wasnt totally shut out :).
 
this guy..... has been active lately.....

heres my story...

On tuesday he invites me to xp. lv 65-68.. isnt too too bad so i play along. party lasts a lil bit, and actually wasnt that bad.. even though he IS a fast puller. After the pty disbands, we get into a conversation about O-bow. He asks if i wanna go to Gustav Tunnel and camp poacher. Just the 2 of us.. he insisted that we can win if we brought lotsa sleep bolts. I admit i had a really good time Duo'n those sheperds, alchys, and mercs. Another rng shows up to camp poacher, so i ask him if we should team up, but he very rude to this rng and pretty much challenged him for the claim. We claim the poacher and 1 bomb throw later, he CALLS FOR HELP! I said in /s i had notin to do with that, and i would of died trying to kill him, i would never call for help and ruin the drop... if i lose, then i lose.

Well, i return to gustav the next day... to observe TOD on poacher. he ends up not spawning for a long time so i start to organize a group.. (and u know its very hard to get people to help wit this) Ethar sends me a tell saying hes ina exp pty, and will be able to come camp poacher in so-so exp. I spend 2-3 hours looking for pple to join, and send him a tell back saying my pty is full, and that he should continue to exp, but he found that offensive. I spent 2-3 hrs looking for members while he is ina exp pty and expects to lot on drop after his pty is done? i dont think so...plus if he got the drop how will i know he would help me! Pocher spawns, we kill it, no drop.

That same night... my members where still skillin up while we waited for poacher window to reopen. One of them has to disband, and warps to jueno. He then tells me that someone is shouting in jueno for help on O-bow, and is offering 250k each person for drop. Thats alot of fukin gil... He ends up campin on top of me, but my party disbands after waiting for poacher for 5 hrs. so i stick around to see pop and TOD. Poacher spawns, I claim it alone, put flag up and tell him to invite me, cause there was a JP pty there wanting the claim. Obow drops and hes quartermaster, but his inventory was full, so i had a chance to lot... but did not cause he put that pty together.. so i let it go. He thxs me, gives me 150k, and tells me that he will help me out the next day..

the next day, yesterday... i ask him all day please help me, poacher is due to spawn, and he tells me... im ina exp pty, when im done ill join you, then tells me again, "oh me and my friends might see movie tonight, so i might not make it, but if we dont go , ill be out there" that time approches, i ask again, help me out? he says he needs to camp lizzy for his boots, for his nin, cause he needs to lv nin...... i ask again later... hes a ldr of an exp pty... so... ya..

anyways many good people have helped me these last 3-4 days in gustav tunnel, and im happy to say that i got my Obow, finally... no thx to ethar\

well sorry for the long post, i just thought that since this thread was revived, it needed this story as well.
 
I can tell you EXACTLY what this insignificant wormlike Little prick did. Im at Dem with my LS doing promys and I get a tell from said jerkoff. He saw the purchase logs on AH as to who last bought an Iron Musketteers gambison and I was the fortunate one. He said he wanted it and would pay double for what i did. I said no that i needed it for thf. This went back and forth for 5 min. Then he got pissed and started getting personal. Saying things like i like little boys and i was gay. Im amazed at ppls level of stupidity when they go this route. The jerk off didnt even know i was a female. he just started spouting off shit. I didnt think ppl like this actually existed. It makes me wonder if they are aware of what they are actually saying or doing and if that is the case God help us all.
 
I have no idea what you guys are talking about.. Ethar is my friend since.. 1 year and 1/2 ago and i let him borrow 200k and he gave it back to me and we had some little fights but that's nothing.. he's a nice guy

bump!!! so i heard ethar was training crap in Bibiki Bay last night repeatedly? anyone post if they were there
 
Yeah, I dont know if this guy is a terrible puller or what, but XPing in bibiki last night, he trained pretty much every gob through the entire zone every few minutes. And the few times he didnt run them all the way to the zone Hed run up to a party (mine a few times but he did it to others) with 2 blaggers, a toreador, and a physician on him. and I suppose try to get us to pull some off of him. Hed run 20 feet away to die, and we had to deal with those adds.

one of his Blaggers killed our whm once when it charged her after he died next to us, and the rest of us were busy with a dhamel. But the funny part was when he gave her grief for not wanting to raise him after that :p

nothing like having to tele out and grab another 2k bird every few minutes because some nimrod keeps dragging gobs thru your camp.

also, Im not sure if this was an attempted mpk, but shortly after we refused to raise him, He and one of his pt stood on either side of our camp and basically played voke tennis with a gob. They ran it back and forth thru our camp about 10 times before they all ran off.

Im guessing he trained through most of bibiki 6-7 times in less than an hour before him pt disbanded and left/
