Ethar...

well, my old linkshell had a bad run in with this player and told everyone to black list him. so i did at that time. however, i never partied with them nor spoke to this person or even seen him around. but i always trusted my shell's judgement and did so.

but, not so long ago as i leveled a random job in citadel, ethar was in the party. it seemed quite in the pt chat for some odd reason as i could only see maybe 5 out of the 6 ppl chatting, incl myself. it was weird ppl answering questions without questions being asked. so i checked my black list and saw ethar there. lmao... so i decided to delete him and say hi and apologize that i blisted him a long time ago and thought i'd give him fair chance.

overall, there wasn't anything that he did that day that made me want to re-blist him so... and from time to time i'd see him and he'd wave and send a friendly tell.

that's my end of it.
 
Ethar is a pre teen moron who likes to talk but sounds stupid every time he does. Yet another idiot who plays FFXI, but this guy is one of the top ten all time asshats IMO. Low life trailer trash wigger who should be taken out back and shot for the good of mankind.

Ethar was the first person I ever put on my blist. He asked if I could trade him my leaping boots and he would trade them back. He just wanted to see "what they would look like on my character." What a loser.

Totally unrelated but similar, I bought a kingdom aketon from a rank 10. (I'm only 5, but become obsessed with the nation aketons) I bumped into him the other day and he said he wanted to borrow it for his lvl 1 brd and he would leave me a deposit/collateral. Keep in mind I bought this from him around the 400k mark. He offered a 100k deposit.

I don't know. I guess I just have that look about me that makes me look like I was born one FFXI hour ago ><
 
Ugh...if anyone needs a server-wide blist its Ethar.
Way back when I was lvling rng in Yhoator I ended up getting in a party with him. At the time he was a lvl 29 sam and I was a lvl 30 rng. We fought a few mobs and he lvled, thats when he started going in on how strong SAMs are after 30. He said something along the lines of, "After 30 sam's are twice as strong as rng's because of meditate." I simply told him no....but he kept insisting they were, regardless of what the fight log was saying. He then says that he has another character that is a 60 rng, and that I'm an idiot noob for thinking that rng's are stronger than sam's. He argued this point to me while calling me a noob for a few more fights. I went out to pull again..as soon as I got back to camp with the mandy I see they already have one that ethar had pulled, without a macro stating he had pulled it. Eventually the whole party dies and breaks. He starts arguing to me about how I'm a noob for pulling (I guess I shoulda used my phsycic powers to know he was pulling one at the same time). Eventually it all dies down and we go our seperate ways.

We eventually meet back up in garlaige citadel and he tries to invite me to his party. I tell him No thanks..simply because I don't want me and him getting in to it again, and deny the invite. A few minutes later he invites me again...and I tell him No thanks again. And a few minutes later he invites me for a 3rd time...then a 4th...then a 5th...then a 6th...and I finally blist him.

A few months later I took him off of my blist, thinking he might've changed, only to hear that he's stolen one if my friend's (xile) hairpin, and stole 2 astrals from another person.

ATM I don't have him on my blist, simply because its funny to see his "intelligent" shouts in jeuno.

I honestly think he either steals all his gear from people or buys it online, but thats just my opinion....and thats my 2 cents (o^_^o).
 
He was my first /blist in the game, not long after PS release. I think we were both on our first jobs... and he kept bugging me for 200g for the Khazam airship, I said I would LOAN it to him. Immediately after the trade, he says F U, you're dreaming if you think I'm sending you 200g. No big deal, 200g, but strike #1.

When I arrived in Yhoator Jungle, he was trying to charge people for raises (strike #2). About 15 minutes later my party got wiped out by a goblin, and then he tried to charge ME 2k for a raise, the person who gave him the damned money so he could get there (strike #3, /blist).

Anyways, I've heard the stories of him stealing items and joining LS's just for AF help then ditching, and what not, but I haven't had any run-ins since. Just wanted to throw that in, you always remember your first /blist :D
 
I think when I started this game I came across him somewhere and he ended up being one of the first person on my black list. I don't remember what exactly happened but I know plenty of people who do not like him.
 
i played couple rounds of ballista with ethar. meh he's good i guess but he's such a.......BLAH...>.< he pisses everyone off and he got mad because there was 2 blms on our side and he said in shout that we were gay blms. and at the end we ended up winning and he got pissed off. the next day i played some rounds again and ethar was there. some of my friends were on his team and said that he pissed everyone off. then another round he was on my team and he was ok at the beginning and helped us get gate breach and all that stuff. then somewhere towards the middle of our ballista he goes "look guys she's scoring more petras then you guys('cause there was a jp mithra there that didn't want to join party but she didn't even score the most points i did. >.<) and you guys aren't even working as a team so i'm jut gonna leave now. " then he stayed after he left for like 5 mins and at the end we found out that he left. i was holding some of his stuff for him and i dunno if i should've gave it back to him or not but i did. lol whatever. :roll: annoying little beastard. sorry for the long post. just have a lot to say bout this guy. :evil:

he is way to fast pulling... so i had to take it over......

he pulled a peryton in a 58-60 party in valley of sorrows as his rng... WHILE THE WHM ONLY HAD 120MP. NIN and DRK both die.
he then has the audacity to start calling the whm a newbie since the whm didnt warn him that his mp was low. So i told him not to try blaming his mistakes on others. And around that time i think his pride took a hit and he started to get offensive.

He also lies alot i find. Like c'mon, if you're going to lie, at least make it believable.

Me and him were going at it for a clean hour or 2..... yet none of us left.... i just wanted EXP.
Its funny though.... when he first invited me to the party he treated me like the veteran player i am. Kept sending me tells on who to invite and what not.

It's a shame i wasn't even in the country when this post was made, or i might have actually seen what kind of trouble i was getting into. From my angle, i saw a rng (i always love to party with rngs) with AF and an Umai LS (got a couple friends in that LS). Instead i had to find this immature newbie on my own accord.
 
he was in the ls that i made. the day that he started playing, i recruited him, but within a week, he was gone because he put blame on everyone and caused alot of probs within the ls
 
I don't know him that well but I've given him a raise before and ran into him in the dunes. He said thank you for the raise. I've never seen him do anything wrong. So until he walks up to me and slaps me and calls me 30 different forms of the word bitch I won't hate him.

Funny... thats exactly how he treated me until I realized what he was really like and decided to leave him in Quicksand Caves one night and warp everyone else home when the PT disbanded.

Now he walks around slapping me and calling me <Too, Weak> because obviously his 14 year old ego can't stop getting in the way...

this guys such a poor sport in ballista.

when he scores from defeating enemys opponents he /sh "haha you fucking bitch stay down!"

but when a lvl 72 PLD (me) wacks his ass with a Joyeuse he has the nerve to curse me out in /sh.

bad sam,bad rng, over all bad player.

Ahhh... I have been waiting so long for a flame about Ethar.....
He is probably the only person in this game who I would want to meet personally.....
What kinda of sick man cons a poor lvl 25WAR noob (me :cry: ) out of his recently bought Power Bow+1 and 50k in gil (which is ALOT when you're a lvl 25 noob) by promising to pay back triple the amount back.....
I also heard from friends that he conned several people out of their sniper rings and other valuable items...
...which is why he owns several valuable items.....
It is Scumbag like him that make people want to quit this game.
All of his gear he has on was obtained by conning people out of their equipment and gil.
Much more to say but I do not want people to see the "angry" side of me...

perytons were VERY hard for that party to take on. They have an AOE that will kill utsusemi, so no matter how good our nin was, it wasnt happening with 120mp on our whm.

As for the MP macro, whm had one.... but as a puller the first thing i do is look at the mages MP before a pull, its not that hard, it says their MP on the lower right hand side of the screen for a reason. I'd expect others to do the same. MP macros are more used as a reminder of what is already shown or for alliance purposes.
