They hit me for about 250 a pop when my shadows wear, so we need a full party... pld whm rdm drk thf X. Set the date and time. I honestly don't care what a dark knight can do compared to a thief, and if you honestly think I can't represent thieves in this bragging game because I'm a gimp...you have another thing coming.

I'd openly make fun of someone who both eats sushi AND equips accuracy gear. What, was your dark knight hitting for 50's? 60's? Lol no wonder you could keep up in tp...you were probably hitting like a thief too. I usually equip attack and eat accuracy. This means that my meleeing set has base accuracy--sniper's and a life belt...and the rest is strength and attack gear. +60 or so attack, +19 strength. Throughout the tp-gain. Sushi filled in the remaining acc.

Now if I had a s-harness back at level 57 or whatever, things would probalby be different. I would have probably eatten attack and equipped accuracy. That means 40 accuracy in the gear while the food added the attack. Functionally they're two approaches to the same goal. But I would NEVER both eat sushi and equip significant accuracy. That's just plain stupid. I would never eat attack and equip attack. A thief can't do that.

I would dust and disgust your dark knight in TP gain unless you're using a disengage trick, with no s-harness on, on a Kindred Warrior (checks high IT to a 74). The challenge is always open. I believe I've already challenged you and you declined. Just find a tank and a healer and let's go. We'll see where your sushi and gear gets you compared to my gimp ass.

You guys are melee. You need accuracy. Hitting the mob for your weapon damage doesn't matter any more. It hasn't for about 8-9 levels.

Your Job as melee: Get TP ASAP, and use it in a skillchain, and leave the DMG for the Mages.

Single Hits, DoT, and your Damage is nothing. You think your 20 Dmg hit or your 60 Dmg Crit means anything? Thief hits 20 hits for 100 TP, 10% crit rate, that's only 480 damage. For a Drk, swinging in the same time, 9 hits for ~108 TP, and amassing 540 Damage in that time.

I do 480 Damage on hits, and 600-900 Dmg on Mobs that drop 200+ Exp Each.

My Whm does 450 Damage each round.
My Rdm Does 800-1,200 Damage each round.
My Blm does 2,000-3,000 Damage each round.

DO I have enough Accuracy to get 100+ TP every round if we go balls out? Yes. Do I worry about attack gear? No, I am not hitting 0's. It's not my job to do weapon damage.

Drk, Thf, War, Rng, etc... It doesn't fucking matter. It's about how quickly, and reliabley you can get the Skillchain in. And Accuracy is what helps you more than anything. If replacing accuracy gear with attack gear helps you, have at it. But it's a waste if you are not hitting 0's.

I agree completely, but if you can fit in attk without sacrificing acc it doesn't hurt.

Tell that to the hundreds (yes hundreds) of players who in my game span have complimented my views and agree 100% that my way is the right way and are sick of having to play along with sub par THFs with no Scorp Harness or Capped (or even fucking close) Marksmanship all the way up to 74 and some change.

The problem is this:

You don't have a lot of shared accuracy/attack slots:

Body, Neck, Back, and Waste.

In my Accuracy/Attack mode I got 62 Accuracy, and 50 Attack before Food. I hit between 20-30 damage on normal hits. With Sole Sushi. With Chief Kabobs, I hit between 23-35 damage. Where the difference in Attack is not all that great, the difference in accuracy is.

100 Hits @ 23-35 damage - 16% accuracy loss = 1,932-2,940 Dmg, 420 % TP
100 Hits @ 20-30 damage - 00% accuracy loss = 2,000-3,000 Dmg, 500%TP

You basically miss out on a Whole Skillchain, AND the damage from doiong more hits.
