Tell me how I'm gimp. Because I don't have a PCC at 75? Because you've seen my thief fight? How, exactly, am I gimp? And since my level is in my sig and apparently reading is beyond your scope, how is my level 75? Tell me why I need more acc against VT's at 74. Seriously, tell me. Tell my why I needed it to level thief when I hit with 90 percent accuracy and hit criticals in the 60's occasionally. Seriously, I want to know. Not only is my thief adequate, it's exceptional. It has 4 macro equipment swap sets. It knows how to play thief. It gains 100 tp in 50 seconds. It hits for 20-40 a swing with 90 percent accuracy. It eats attack food during xp parties because it has enough accuracy to cover the imbalance the game threw at it.

But here's the thing...the player behind this adequate thief...you can't hold a candle to and it pisses you off that your PCC doesn't compensate for THAT. The developers cater to me and not you, and that again pisses you off.

Take the hint fellas. There are things you can be elitist with. They're just out of your league like they should be now. Bar's been raised. You say a PCC shouldn't be in a BC40 because it's too easy? How pathetic, it used to be on a soloable mob...get real.
 
you didn't fight VT all the way to 74, and your TP building isn't that great. a DRG friend of mine was telling the LS how this sorry excuse for a THF couldn't gain any. he was beating this THF in TP 200-100. consistantly over 50 TP more than this THF.

by some retarded miracle i got paired up with a thf in bibiki bay with my DRK. and i ate his ass up in tp too. triple attack doesnt give you the right to gimp yourself, it gives you an added attack to land, not to miss.

the fact is, you would have been that much more effective as a thf had you had an SH the last 17 levels. you are too blind in you ever knowing ways to see that. but one day you'll be leveling with another thf and see how much better he is than you were and you'll send me a tell saying, "gee meeze, you really are meezeuschrist, i will follow your every word from here on out"

and i will reply "you have been blessed my child" and the world will live happily ever after.

ps i'll ask the drg to post on here, he doesn't visit these boards i don't think, but i think the party was in dragon's aery, not 100% on that.
 
I agree with vang and eulore to certain extents. Yes I do feel the PCC was a defining piece if gear that only those whos willin to put in the work will get it. But there is more to blame than those gimp players who complain aout not having one. People complain bout gill sellers/buys more than anything in the world and I feel there the main reason the PCC is so easy to get. As far as what eulore said I dont think ppl should be complaining bout ppl umgimpin them selvs so much. Besides there a whole new update coming up and there gonna be better gear that you can spend 20-100+ hours workin for, and once again there will be gill seller/buyers and this same shit is gonna happen again. You ppl shouldnt feel so defined by your gear some of the best gear in the game is relic and a bunch of other rare/ex item that are better than most tradible gear. So im fuckin glad they did this yes I would be one of those gimped players but I never complained that much and I doubt SE would just cater to the gimp players. There also catering to those who fuckin hate gill sellers/buyers that monopolize some items and raise the price of item to extreme abounts if gill that it shouldnt be. How much would you think the empy pin would be by now if they didnt make the new one rare/ex the price would go higher and higher and quicly hit 2 mill.

Me making a tp-gaining mistake sounds vaguely familiar in the aery. I might have even forgotten my pack of sushi and had to eat a chiefkabob or something. It happens. When it happens I know it happens and I apologize to the party when it happens. Then I fix it when the food wears off, or I find a replacement by the time it does. But if this happened it was a misjudgment or mistake and nothing more. My TP hits 110 by the time my SA and TA timers hit 0 unless I screwed up somewhere. It's been that way ever since I overhauled my equipment at level 60.

When I don't make a mistake, no dragoon waits for me. I can seriously think of 4-5 times that people have waited on me because I ate something stupid or left something in my mog house or had the crazy notion that 35 acc was good enough to eat attack food. It wasn't the lack of scorpion harness that did it. Yes, it would have been nice to eat attack food against torama and spiders. I did just fine with att gear and sushi though.

Again, though, this is getting off topic. You morons are seriously trying to argue that someone without a PCC and a SH is a gimp. Please. Try again.

also like to add, imo, that once an item becomes more common and common within the community... it's becomes the norm. such as SH's and Huaby's and blah blah blah. once everyone has everything, that item isn't so "valuable" as it once was. whatever. all in the eye of the beholder i guess.
 
In all seriousness I would rather see a thief with an Assault jerkin eating sushi than a scorp-wearing thief eating meat. Sushi and 20 acc is all a thief ever needs. They can spend the rest of the equipment slots on att and strength. If I did thief over, I would have done two things and only two things.

A. Freaking marksmanship instead of boomerang. Big mistake there that I can't fix now.
B. Assault jerkin and switching to equipping att/ eating sushi earlier.

As far as SH goes on my thief...it's a soloing piece to me. Something to keep my shadows up for 5 more seconds. I don't wear it for the accuracy. I wear it for the evasion.

Again, way off topic though.

You're gimp because you apparently think its impossible to take a little bit of time out of each play session to raise your marksmanship now.

You're gimp because ANY thief can match your gear and (most likely) skill without much effort - just as you didn't put any effort into it yourself - and therefore also have 90% accuracy and the occasional 60 damage crit.

You're gimp because you say the PCC should be 3mil, but that wouldn't do you any good, as you've never held 3mil at one time in your life.

You're gimp because you sit your lazy ass down infront of your computer, and post on QCDN about how pathetic people that are better than you are.

You're gimp because you won't put forth that little bit of extra effort to bump your accuracy up another 5%, your crits up so that they ALWAYS hit for 60 damage instead of occasionally.

You're gimp because you're less than average in the greater scheme of things, and still think you're somehow high and mighty, when you have nothing to offer that every other 74 thief doesn't also have to offer.

Your analogy, can I say, is a bit out of place. Remember we're talking about a game here. I work hard for all of my gear but I'm sorry camping one NM for hours and hours isnt my thing. Even with getting tod its hard to say when he'll pop, but personally I can't even do that cuz I can't leave my game on for hours at a time. If you think everyone should have to camp NMs day and night to get something they want, thats nice for you, but obviously SE agreed with me :|

I'll camp just about any NM, but I'm not touching any POS that has a 24 hr range spawn.

I'm never going past like, level 60 >_>; I don't like to farm. While I agree, hey if you wanna be Mr. Badass and go all the way to 75, yeah work your ass off. That's why I may not even attempt level 75. I've never had over 1 million gil and I'm level 50. I'm not really too gimp, I could use a Jager Mantle, and a Second Sniper's Ring to replace my venerer. Everything else is up to date. It all depends though. I must admit, it would be nice to hit 75, and not spend my every breathing moment on the game farming. I don't pay 12.95 a month to get to work hard like Real Life, to earn digital money.But, that's my opinion. /shrug.

On having 3 million in gil: I held 5 and a half million 4 days ago, bitch. I wear sniper's on my fingers. I wear leaping boots...on a macro set for 2 seconds. I wear an emp pin...on a macro set for 2 seconds. I wear 15 attack on my back and 5 million gil on my body...when I choose to. And I don't often choose to because I don't need more accuracy. I need more power, bitch.
