"Expanding" Endgame Linkshells

wwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaattttttt? Hold on I never said anything of the sort dude you assumed that of your own accord. First of all my old ls was good, nothing wrong with it. Second my characters got deleted because I couldn't afford to pay the fee anymore for online usage. Third I don't know any rmt and neither does my old ls and yes you've never heard of Materia cause like you said you all are on a different server. And to clear up the confusion I just thought your server might be cool to check out. That's all I had no idea you would assume me an rmt. Sorry for the misunderstanding but I'm not hear to argue offend and then throw arround profanity. Just wanted to collect some info so it's easier to find a group of sane and non-dramatic type LS since I beleived that this would be a good thread to find out on since you gentlemen/ladies are talking about LS's and the ethics behind the one's you like/dislike is all. Not here to pick a fight, get called stupid, or upset anyone now or ever, EVER. So please cut me some slack LOL PLease no more assumptions, I am a player of game and dont ever tell me to play WOW again I like FFXI and will never play another MMO again as long as this one is still funtional and online. By the way I served under the ls Fearless not Materia the one I spoke of before.

You are a fucking retard. That was fucking sarcasm. Of course we're on the same fucking server. Jesus Christ and you said questionable circumstances Don't try to say financial troubles. If that were the truth why didn't you say so before? I am sorry, but questionable circumstances sounds like you got banned for a good reason. Most of our Linkshells are sane, and pretty much drama free. I mean there are instances, of course. If you don't want to be called stupid or anything don't post on the fucking Flameboard.

Do you even know what the signature function is?

Kage I think that is an open ended offer for you. Go for it so what if he is dumb.

Is it just me, or has this thread been suddenly and unexpectedly derailed from watching LS leaders (well, perhaps it would be unfair to pluralize, but there's at least one obvious case) make fools of themselves to giant wall-o-texts from some random and completely unrelated person?

Dude is probably a sock. Get the fuck out of this thread with your in-coherent babble Souldemon. It has gone severely downhill.

This topic got really lame and boring, then Souldemon came to save the day with epic amounts of failure and stupidity.

Souldemon and Redfield should get hitched and make retarded lovechildren just like them so we have something to laugh at in the future.

It sucks that the dynamis shell lost some people, but at the same time, the sky shell has to look out for its own. Whats a bigger obligation, Sky or dynamis?

The flip side to the dynamis shells losing members is perhaps the sky shell didnt have enough manpower to do what they need to do (conjecture on my part). It sucks, but what are they suppose to do? Do they award the people that show up for events with points even if they dont do the event? Well, woulnt that still put them ahead of the people in dynamis anyway? If they dont reward these people for effort then whats the point of anyone showing up at all? It definatly is a delima as there doesnt necassarily seem to be a right and wrong, but moreso a prioritization of events. It just seems to me that by offering a dynamis, it helps out with schedualing for the sky shells, but definatly hurts the established multi-ls dynamis shells.

Alrighty, i'mma attempt to try and clear things up. Many of times when an event was scheduled such as farming or even gods, several valuable people would need to come late or leave early because they had dynamis.

This has gone on for quiet a while, and up until recently one of the officers, that ran his own dynamis ls, suggested we make an ls dynamis. This circulated around the ls for quiet a while, at least a month or two.

It was about a month ago some of the officers were trying to find times that suited everyone best. It was also mentioned how it was encouraged for them to come to our dynamis ls. I would like to assume this was many people's indication that this was their "heads up".

In anycase, it was down to the finally week before we started our first dynamis. I do believe this possible "ultimatum" was brought up after a harsh struggle with Kirin. We have a total of 8 blms, 2 were MIA and 3 were in Dynamis. I believe it was said toward the more undedicated people, ones that lounge around and exp during events, that if end-game is something you do not wish to do you should not be here.

In this, i believe it was also stated that dynamis people were much wanted to join the Ls dynamis. It was bring us down having some people leave mid events for dynamis. I truely believe that is where that ultimatum lies before us.

Yes the words, if your not ready for this end-game ls go ahead and drop your pearls, was used. I do believe that was pointed toward the dynamis people as well. I also do believe it was rather harsh to give such a choice. Even i felt temped to drop my pearl only because i too hate being given such ultimatums.

After a strong argument among the members, it was decided people do have several months to continue with there current time, to attempt not to leave on bad terms.

As clearly seen, it's not going as well as hoped. Then maybe a new course of action should be taken. We have not kicked or penalized anyone for still being in there own ls. I truely doubt we will as well. It's hard to resolve this and have everyone happy. I am unsure of what could possibly be done as well. All i have left is to ask, what possible suggests do you wonderful and intelligent group of people have to offer that can make this, as "win win" situtation?

Teppo me and u are friends,

However what you just said completely contradicted what Your leader rone has said.... Which of you are lying.... The one who said that they would never EVER give ultimatums or the one that says they did give "ultimatums"

In the end the liar that stole members from AN, and SA cannot be trusted.... dude Rone are you just a fucking chronic liar or somethign? like i said before X20.... Grow up

He probly did give an ultimatum, already knowing this, that was a bad move or poor choice of words, people make mistakes. Well I, as well as the rest of the LS would be happy to redeem this problem.

No one has been penalized and as far as i can see, people still won't be penalized. I would like to see a way for everyone to be happy. The reason why this dynamis ls was created is for people to continue doing dynamis while still attending sky, and other assorted events.

I truely hate burning bridges, but some times unavoidable, even if it's our bridges being by someone else. We *need* our members for sky and other events just like the dynamis ls's need them for their events. I still want to know what possible suggestions can be give so we can have our members and still allowing them to do dynamis without conflicting with the two.

A lot? yes. All? Not quite. There are still some genuine leaders left in FFXI who put team before self I think. Most of them just aren't in the big name LS's you all hear about.

I won't argue with the last line though. Greed def dictates 95% of what goes on in that game.

I'd put you in the category of a genuine leader. I witnessed how you ran PinCKs, you're definitely a quality leader.

Don't sit there and tell me when U started a dynamis shell u didn't ask everyone u knew to join your shell. And in all likelyhood some of those members were already in other shells YET they left for they're own reasons and joined your shell.

So don't sit there and accuse US of stealing ur people we announced it and asked them to join PERIOD.

We do what other shells do when they want to start a new venture we recruit and if people leave another ls to join us that choice was made by the member and the blame / responsibility falls to that member and not the shells officers

If you bothered to look at when we do our runs we do them far later than the other linkshells do theirs. Our LS was started to allow those who play late or are on the west coast to do dynamis because there weren't any linkshells fulfilling that niche. Also if someone applied to our linkshell and found that our schedule didn't work for them I've worked with other leaders to place them in linkshells that work for their schedule so that they can enjoy the dynamis aspect of endgame activities. Very, very few, if any, of oour members were in other shells when they joined up with us. Some had previously quit dynamis due to scheduling conflicts with their rl and wanted to get back into doing dynamis because they enjoyed it.

You gave very little notice, and even if it was a misinterpretation by your members that you were giving them no choice (which by the way I don't believe due to both your overwhelming arrogance within this thread and the body of evidence presented to support the claim that you gave your members an ultimatum) you certainly did nothing to clarify it to your members.

He probly did give an ultimatum, already knowing this, that was a bad move or poor choice of words, people make mistakes. Well I, as well as the rest of the LS would be happy to redeem this problem.

The only way to resolve this is to give the members an actual choice rather than an ultimatum and for the leader of your linkshell to quit being asinine when people are doing dynamis with other linkshells. Given the time that our linkshell does dynamis I don't see much of a possibility of there even being much of a conflict (if any) with your linkshell's events anyway. Your leader didn't simply try to burn bridges for your members, he brought out the C-4 and tried to obliterate them.

Well, we have created a dynamis ls, and we are asking them to join us so things would run a lot smoother. I do believe they can take as much time as they wish, without being penalized. If they still like to join us, that be great, if not, i guess there is nothing we can do.

I don't think this ultimatum still stands (if it ever truely stood), people are free to do as they wish. It's still encouraged they join, but they are not going to be kicked for not joining. I hope this will clear things up for people having trouble with Epitome.

In anycase, i'mma go to bed, so i won't be able to respond for the next 12 hours ^^; I'll catch up when i wake up. I do wish you all well.

Though my last ls didn't go into Dynamis, they did go into everything else... it was when they started requiring that all ls members must do HNM events or be booted... you can guess what happen to me next. I hate HNMs, I can't stand waiting for something that will be botted by another LS anyway.

Oh yea, I'm looking for a new end-game ls now. ^_^ Level 75 White Mage and Red Mage... currently level 72 Corsair. Later...

forgotten people

Something you might want to remember.....People have killed others and or themselves over or about this Game. Some1 in a god shell i had killed himself, here you guys are "suggesting" that you're members do this or that to prove rthey are dedicated. The motto of my shell that i hope will mature into a Limbus shell is real life first.
For a while i did gods and dymanis on the sameday, after a while it got to the point where I did not have the energy to do them both. For some reason end game has alot of drama, cussing and out right idiots. I ponder many a night how some people ever got to 75. Running/going to limbus, dynamis and gods would take up almost all of anyones time. When you start the game it says something along the lines Do not forget the people around you, your work, family friends. I personally would not want any endgame shell that feels a game is more important than living.
On other thought of "strongly suggesting" they join all of any end game shells daughter shell/expanded main shell end game events, in one day you can only put up with certain players <insert your favorite cuss word> attitude. Having seperate shells and each shell respecting the prior obligations of these truly dedicated players in the end will give you a great shell full of strong dedicated players that will not leave due to the stress factor of too much BS.

Your shell doesn't tell you when to log on, if you don't have the control to handle your RL issues before logging on, that is your problem. I have no problems missing shit I really want to do in game to do something IRL. You should dedicate yourself to the shell when you are available to play. You are told their schedule before you jjoin, and it is something you agree to. Nowhere does it say you need to go to every event, but those who can make the most events will end up with gear faster.

Everyone is so impatient, and want the gear now, so they slave themselves over a short period of time and burnout. Then when they get their gear they slow down and it looks like they are no longer committed.

Take your time, the same shitty mobs will be there tomorrow if you cant makeit today.

Makes me proud to look back on those days and know that some people appreciated what I tried to do. Thanks for the kind words ;)

Makes me sad to see you guys arguing like this. Someone was bound to be unhappy with the shell expansions but true leaders just needed to suck it up and move on instead of create bad bonds between each other and argue endlessly (Jyak and Rone). You both have points but there really is no winner here, just both of your shells losing because now they wont ever do anything together. Guess teaming up and maintaining friendships between shells so midsized shells can do something large with minimal effort like wyrms or JoL is for JPonry.

Hi guys,

I run with Epitome and I'm gonna tell ya up front that I've not read this thread in its entirety, but here it is from the perspective of someone who chose to switch over from SUDynamisMiscreants(a great bunch of folks) to DynamisEpitome.

When it became a topic of discussion during sky farming sessions, etc., at no time did I ever feel I was being given an ultimatum to either "comply or die," so to speak. It was a decision I made after giving it a lot of thought and weighing the pros and the cons. I could see the leaders' points that doing more events together would:

1) Create a more "cohesive", less 9 to 5 feel to events.
2) Build greater cameraderie within the shell itself.
3) Develop a greater level of teamwork and interdependence.

So, with those things in mind, I spoke with Badger and Morwen(Miscreants leaders and officers), and told them what I planned on doing. I did so on behalf of both myself and the one other Epitome member that asked for me to do so. I was not happy to be leaving them behind, but it was the fact that I would miss running with them, not missed opportunities that made me feel that way. In short - I was already missing the new friends I'd made there.

Now, as to how this move into the Dynamis realm was presented to Epitome members, all I can say is that I truthfully never recall the first dynamis run conducted as DynamisEpitome being presented as a "be there or else" scenario. As a matter of fact, I seem to remember that Rone's exact words at the close of sky farming that night went something like this:

Epitomedude: We still doin [Dynamis-Windurst] Tuesday?
Rone: We're going to try. We'll have to see if we have enough people first.

Now tell me honestly folks - if he was the evil tyrant that some here seem to be making him out to be, wouldn't his response have been something more along the lines of:

"Damn right. Hear that guys? [Dynamis-Windurst] [Tuesday] or GTFO"

atm u realize that there is 3 completely different stories.... lol... till you all get your stories straight... might not be the best idea to post.
