So gamespot gave this game winner of E3 out of all the great games that were showed. After watching the 22 minute video of the developer playing it, I must say im impressed. Visually it's beautiful, he also says "if you can see it, you can explore it". The game reminds me of and Elder Scrolls game just not quite as big land mass wise.

He said if you see a house or castle, you can buy it. You can have multiple wives and kids and if you decide to have a family, things will happen to them. More quests open up if you have a family too. Also you get more quests if you buy a big castle.

The combat while very simple looked very fun. They have a systems with spells where one can come up with so many different ways of killing enemies with combination of melee/range/spells.

The original Fable is BC compatible, btw, for people like me who didn't have an original Xbox. I picked it up a few weeks ago along with KOTOR 1,2, Halo 1,2, Prince of Persia and Panzer Dragoon Orta or whatever it's called.

I have not started it up yet, but when I told the clerk I wasn't big on Oblivian he said I probably wouldn't like it, but for the few bucks used I paid it was worth the try. If I like Fable 1 I'll consider 2.

I'm looking forward to Fable II, you can tell its good because Peter Molyneux has kept his lips shut for the most part. =3

Fable 1 was sweet and I don't think it was like oblivion really. The only thing is you have to remember though is Peter Molyneux talks really BIG. About half the shit they said you could do in fable 1 never actually happened. It was a long time ago so I don't remember everything he said, I just remember my friend hyping it up big time and when we played it hes like aw shit you cant do any of this. I'm not saying its the same with Fable 2, just that you should keep that in mind.

I'm looking forward to the friends being able to just join you up whenever and effect your game world. That sounds pimp as hell.

I personally didnt like Fable I that much. Most games story plot only lasts like 12 hours, but most games have tons of sidequests to make it seem much longer. Fable I could be beaten in 12 hours and no reason to really play through anything else or much else to do imo. Fable wasn't like Oblivion to me at all. It wasnt bad, but man it didnt live up to the hype.

In Fable II you can have jobs, and they are treated like mini games. Blacksmithing and selling swords, a wood cutter, an assassin lol. Just seems way more wide open like the first one was supposed to be.

I expect it to be fun.

This way, I can't be disappointed unless it's a truly awful game.

I didn't care for the original, but I have my hopes moderately high for the sequel. I'm hoping they learned from their mistakes in the original.

The first one was fun, as long as this one is fun too, I'll enjoy it.

Yeah. the first was fun, just a little short. As soon as I started getting really into it, I finished it and was a bit disappointed. However, I was overall satisfied with the game.

I can't re-call a single thing I liked about the first one 'cept fightin' which grows old. I played through it because it was all the rage though. Horrible game in every single aspect. So I expect this game will be much like the first, an extremely over hyped $59.99, + tax, saucer of poop.

Fable was a fun game, albeit, a short one. Peter Molyneaux promised way too many things and failed to deliver, but his choice to stay quiet on the details of Fable 2 means we may have something good in store later this year. Either way ill be buying this game to try it out ^^

I liked the first one, and have pre-ordered the second. If the "realtime" multiplayer RPG thing is for true it will be worth panty soup!!

Agreed. If they can actually deliver on what the first was hyped to be and more I'd totally throw sixty bones to the wind. Although they had three classes technically (melee, ranged and magic) I didn't really feel the need to go back and re-try the game as a different class... basically what I mean by that is as "open" as they tried to make it/seem like Morrowind it was really very linear/dull/repetitive. Fun for 1 go then got traded back to gamestop.

once fable 2 comes out im ditching oblvion! all i do is run around in that game now lol

The more time that passes the more I realize Fable 1 was a solid game, a touch short though. I was mainly disappointed because of all the hype Molyneux put behind the game. So while he has kept the hype machine under control this time I simply expect a solid game but nothing that will drop my jaw.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first one. The original was short but the expansion added a bit to it, which was nice. I'm really looking forward to this coming out.

I gotta say -- it is disappointing this is a 360 exclusive. What are the chances this will become available for Vista down the road? (Sorry, I'm just not a console gamer...)
