Someone already has, its called Twitter. lol

i like my FB page. thanx to it i knoiw my best friend passed her pharmaceutical tech exam, i finally got to see a picture of my niece, i know all my step-sisters are doing just fine, and i get to poke fun at my co-workers and friends even when i'm not around them. not to mention the biggest perk of them all, TORTURING KARIHKINZ!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!

Twitter hasn't dethroned FB though. It just took one aspect of facebook and made a website around that.
 
no it hasn't they're just even stevens. it did take off alot faster then FB did because of the time when it was released i think. i mean isn't it pretty much a glorified livejournal?

Kind of. Its slightly different in that people update constantly and dont do long entries. I'd say Facebook is still #1, seeing as it has beaten out google for the most visited website and whatnot. Twitter is nice for what it is, but since it doesnt do the same exact thing as FB it wont be pushing it out.
 
Twitter has a character limit so it's usually only 1 maybe 2 sentences so it's almost nothing like livejournal. In no way does twitter beat out facebook. I have both facebook and twitter and I use facebook for family and friends and twitter I follow people I don't know personally. My friends use twitter but I don't follow them because of two reasons, my friends + twitter = constant tweets every 2 minutes and I don't care what they are doing every minute of their life. Most people I follow on twitter tweet every hour, if that.
